The School of Arts Square is just a lovely little place to kill some time. And I always have time to kill, since trains only come past Springwood once every hour!
The Square looks out over what appears to be a park of some kind, which gives it quite a serene atmosphere.
There are little wooden benches scattered all over the Square, with manicured trees and shrubs to lend shade from the sun on a hot afternoon. There's even a water fountain, which I thought was quite considerate.
There is what appears to be a piece of solid, stand-alone aboriginal art in one corner of the square, which does add some flavour to the place. I rather like it.
In the afternoons, you are likely to have the elderly, and shrieking school-children for company. The elderly, I don't mind. The children, I do. I try to steer clear during the afternoons, but the evening is another story.
