AVOID. THIS SCHOOL !!!…read more My wife and 9 year old son decided to take lessons. We started in May and had a planned vacation for a month in July . The school has a rule you must give a weeks notice to cancel the lesson or you will be charged, this rule is fair as they have to run a business . We gave Jose plenty of notice stating we will be away for the month of July, We told Jose we will start back up August 1st. On JULY 30TH I call the school to confirm everything is set up as my son whose 9 was eager to start lessons again . Unfortunately know one answered the phone so I left a message and waited for a return call . The day went by no return call, The next day I call 2 more times and again no answer or return phone call . I say to myself maybe they are closed for vacation even though the voice mail says they are open. I give them the benefit of doubt that possibly they forgot to change the answering machine . Days go by no return call, The following week I again call same thing answering machine and no return call. Now frustrated and aggravated I EMAIL the school because 10 days have passed we missed two lessons and have rental guitars we are paying for . Keep In mind like every parent we have 90 things going on and the last thing we should have to do is constantly call a music school we are paying and get zero response . Kelly, Joses wife send me an email three days later explaining we have not kept your spot and the only times available are 8:00 at night . My sons is 9 and goes to bed at 8:00 on school nights, so how is that even possible !! I then write back again even more aggravated and then get a response from Jose the owner Jose starts off very nice explaining its his fault he didn't tell his wife he saved spots for my wife and our son. I told Jose exactly what we were planning when we left for vacation. I hate confusion and am very thorough. Jose then goes on telling me that he's very busy with summer camps and hes short staffed so he couldn't return a call or email for 12 days ? This aggravated me even more as I have my own issues and he seems to think his problems are now my problems! I then write him back saying its his responsibility to make sure calls are returned and emails answered. More importantly we have been waiting 12 days for a simple guitar lesson with rented guitars we are paying for . We rented the guitars to make sure my son liked the lessons before purchasing a guitar . Jose then sends me an email back stating "Because of my tone " we shouldn't work together !! What owner screws up then tells a customer because of my tone we shouldn't work together . This guy doesn't answer calls or emails .His wife tells me we do not have a spot left and I shouldn't be aggravated ? I guess Jose feels he can do as he pleases and if the customers do not agree and he doesn't like their "TONE" he will just say "Dont come back" Keep in mind my wife is ok going somewhere else, But you do not do things like this to a 9 year old CHILD. YOU SCREWED UP JOSE SWALLOW YOUR PRIDE AND APOLOGIZE ... STAY AWAY FROM THIS SCHOOL THEY DO NOT DESERVE TO BE TRUSTED WITH YOUR CHILD

Their summer program is top notch. The staff is EXCELLENT. The environment is warm and friendly. What a professional, caring, compassionate, wonderful group of human beings work there! The summer program is 5 weeks long, quite affordable, has morning and aftercare available, and takes children from kindergarten to 11th grade. There are numerous activities for the children to participate in; and is broken up into age appropriate teams. My 6 year old son has attended 3 summers in a row, and looks always forward to the time he spends here. It's the community factor that he loves the most. I've come in contact with many camps over the last several years (in several townships), and this has been the BEST one I have encountered. During the school year they offer a variety of arts classes for children and adults. Registration begins in September, and classes start in October. The place is new and immaculate and up to date with the latest technology. You get pictures throughout the day from the teachers and a daily report at the end of the day, to know what they did that day. They offer so much for the kids, from yoga, music, dance, sports etc. They also provide the tools to teach your little one how to become more independent and confident while doing so. My son is learning a lot and always looks happy when checking in on him throughout the day! I highly recommend this place, you will not be disappointed and you will feel confident knowing your child or children are in the best possible care around.

My son is 9 now and his interest when he started 3 yrs back was to learn guitar. Brandon advised us to start with piano and learning notes etc. as 6 yr olds do not have the finger/arm strength to play guitar and after a few years transition to guitar. Again honest and very professional, did not try to sell services.Their focus is on music, teaching and what is best for students. I sent my two daughters to this school. They were in pre-school 2.5 and 3. The first thing that…read moremade me feel something was wrong was the abnormally high teacher turnover (7 different teachers in less than a year). Granted this was during COVID but none of the other schools had such a high turnover. It was also messy, disorganized and their communication was horrible. I think could have lived with all that. However, my 3 year old came home with a black eye one day. She told me that "Ms Yin Li kicked her in the face with her foot because she was angry that she would not fall asleep during nap time". When I called the school the next day to ask what happened, the principal, owner and other staff, tried to give me 100 theories as to what could have happened to her (she must have bumped herself against the cot, she probably hit herself against the bench because kids fight for the red bench, it happened outside of school, etc) instead of focusing on what my child was saying, that the teacher kicked her because she wouldn't nap. I tried to have the school press charges against Yin Li, but she also had already resigned and they told me it was "too late" (maybe 5 weeks had passed since the incident) so I decided to file a complaint with the state's Department of Children and Families (which came back inconclusive but at least I reported and recorded the incident). Please don't send your kids to this place, there are other much better schools in the area. I met up with one of the parents a few weeks ago and about 80% of the kids moved on to other schools as well.
