I am glad we did. When we walked in we were not treated like customers, the staff all treated us like old friends that had not visited in far too long. Soon we were chatting just like old friends. The furniture is amazing, the quality is first class with reasonable prices. I was impressed with all of items. The bakery has many wonderful smells and the pretzels were to die for. the petting zoo is under the store (the building is a converted barn on a hillside) my granddaughter loved all the animals. I purchased my dinner table and bedroom furniture from Swiss Valley 20 years ago and I knew what I…read morewas getting, so I returned in March, 2024 for other furniture. I ordered two cherry end tables and a table lazy Susan. When I picked them up, I didn't pay any attention to the end tables because I was in a hurry to get back home. When i arrived home, I removed the end tables and saw that all of the legs at the floor were chipped and damaged. I then took pictures of all eight (8) legs and then called Swiss Valley to make my complaint. I originally spoke with Jacob and explained the situation and was asked to forward the pictures that I took. I was then asked to call back in about 30 minutes to speak with Mindy, but she had to look at the pictures first. I called back and spoke with Mindy and she stated that there was some damage to the legs. After a conversation of about 20 minutes, Mindy stated that that they would replace the two (2) end tables and Swiss valley would call me when they were ready to be picked up. I asked Mindy that since I had to drive approximately 75 miles in on direction to return the damage pieces and pick up mine and return another 75 miles, is there any kind of refund i could get for my travels. She then stated that she could only give a $ 30 in house gift card. I wasn't please about only $ 30, but I agreed to in and will wait their call. On July 01, I received a call from Swiss Valley stating that my furniture was ready. I returned with the damaged end table and closely looked at my new tables. They were in perfect condition. I "swaddled" the tables and left. Things can and do go wrong no matter where you buy stuff, but Swiss Valley was AMAZING by rectifying the problem. I will always recommend them.

PLEASE READ before you shop here. We recently had Troyer Furniture refinish and stain an Amish…read moredining room table (purchased elsewhere). Prior to having it refinished, the table top joint was tight as a drum, no gap. Upon receiving the refinished top, we now have a noticeable gap where the two sides meet. We were rudely informed that Troyer had nothing to do with the gap; wait a few days to see if the edges "moved" back into place. Totally unacceptable! They did not want to take it back to try and correct the gap - they could not guarantee that it could be made better. While the refinish/staining was beautiful, I do not feel that I should have to pay for a top that now will not close properly. Avoid Sales Manager Tim and Owner Matt; customer service is non-existent.

My son had bought a new casual dining room table and chairs from an Amish furniture store in Lancaster, PA. We went there and another, but didn't find a style that we really liked. However, we were impressed with the quality and choices of wood, stain, and hardware. After searching the internet, I found Amish Crafted Furniture and the Edgefield Collection. I corresponded with Rick Hencye, the owner of Amish Crafted Furniture many times. He answered all of my emails promptly and gave us the information, pricing and confidence to order the set WITHOUT EVER SEEING IT IN PERSON. It was a great experience dealing with Rick so we highly recommend Amish Crafted Furniture. They can arrange for delivery everywhere in the USA. The quality of the materials and workmanship is how most furniture was made 50+ years ago.
