I met with Brandon to have him do one year of taxes. At no point did he tell me some woman in his office would actually be doing them. Two weeks later I call to find out the status, and am put on the phone with Cheryl, some woman I'd never met. The return hadn't been started. I discover Cheryl, a non CPA, is doing the work. I was confused at first. It took me a few minutes to understand she was the one doing them. Cheryl was dismissive, telling me, "This is a first come, first serve business and you're not on the list." Not on the list after two weeks?? She claimed I was in the "pending" pile because of supposed missing information. There was no missing info for the one year I wanted done. That was just their excuse for poor organization. Blame it on the client, instead of taking responsiblity. I was unhappy they didn't even start the return, the switching of Cheryl to do the work without mentioning it to me, and Cheryl's rudeness. Brandon sent my tax info back to me telling me to find another accountant, which was fine. I have never encountered such rude, unprofessional behavior from an accountant and his office staff. UPDATE: Brandon has responded to this by harassing me with insulting emails from different addresses, including his fake positive Yelp reviewer "Stephen R". He tells me I "need to go on medication" and he has threatened to sue for sharing my experiences with him. I have asked him to stop contacting me and he has refused. I told him I was going to get a restraining order, and he told me to go ahead and get one. Brandon is threatening to sue me because according to him, I'm not allowed to give my opinion unless he approves of it. He seems to not grasp the concept of a review website, Freedom of Speech or that harassing someone is not appropriate conduct. read more

All companies have assistants to help with the initial stages of the process. The lawyer you consult has a paralegal do the prep work. The attorney however, reviews the information before taking it to trial as he has to be sure his information is accurate. CPA firms are no different. I've had him doing my taxes for years and Cheryl has never been anything but kind and helpful as have everyone, including Brandon. If he has declined to prepare your taxes I'm sure he has a good reason. From the tone of your comment, I'd assume it's because you're a rude demanding person and most everyone you talk to consider you impossible to deal with. I've got to say, Wow. Sounds like you're just hard to please. I've been looking at your other postings here and it looks like you never have a good word to say about anyone. I'd say Brandon was right to tell you to hit the highway. I would have too. Why don't you try to be less of a snob? That's just my opinion because I don't know you, but I do know Brandon and he's a very accommodating and understanding individual and I've never once had an issue with him, his staff, or his work because it's the most professional accurate work I've seen in many, many years. I have been a customer of his for over 7 years. I do own my own company and rely on Brandon to handle my taxes which are not easy. I've done it for years and I'm totally happy with his work. I met Brandon Schultz for the first time yesterday. He was very accommodating to all of my tax questions. He was diligent in answering any question I had. It was a long meeting and he even stayed during his lunch to help me. Wow is this guy thorough. In 2013 we prepared our return ourselves. However, we had no idea how to treat an IRA conversion and we got audited by the IRS. Brandon amended the returns and the result did not have any increase in tax. The biggest part is the IRS went away. I must tell you these guys appear to be pretty busy so the turn around time is not speedy but again, they are thorough. I am not going to prepare my return myself again anytime soon. read more
