Meh, it's okay. They have a decent whiskey selection that covers most of the major bases. But everything else is just not quite right.
Every time I come here, I feel unwelcome. Sometimes, it happens subtly, like when I was asked if I don't think it's better that I go back to the US (that coming from someone who herself was from Finland). Other times, not so subtle, like a loud argument between manager and bouncer where they threatened to call the police on each other (given that the bouncer actually did call the police, I have to assume he had the stronger position).
There is the tiniest space for dancing. Should you not be acquainted with the group of four who have claimed that space for themselves, they will literally stop dancing and eye you with smiles made of daggers until you remove yourself from their staked out area. Maybe that's too harsh...they might stare at you in confusion as to why you'd think you could dance among them.
I'll come here again only for one of two reasons: 1) piss stop on my way to the U-Bahn (it's just down the street from Münchner Freiheit) after having had a good night next door at Hopfendolde, or 2) whiskey stop on my way to the U-Bahn (after having had a good night next door at Hopfendolde).
