I made a special trip from Sylvania, OH, based on Facebook comments regarding the peaches and the muffins. This is a smaller roadside stand that is popular as I waited in line to buy some peaches and muffins. When it was finally my turn to order, I was given a choice of peaches ready to eat that day or peaches that will be prime for eating in 2-3 days. Being from the "want it now" generation, I chose the peaches ready for eating. The pic is what I bought for $6 ($1 per peach). I also selected a mix of Strawberry and Peach muffins - 4 pack container for $14 ($3.50 each). I made a healthy version of Peach, Blueberry, & Raspberry cobbler. The peaches were very good with a nice sweetness and quite juicy. Yay! The muffins were just ok, in my opinion. The ones I brought home were somewhat of a gooey consistency in the center toward the top of the muffin. Just not a fan. Sorry. I would definitely buy peaches from this Orchard again. read more

The very best place to get deeeeelicious peaches is Schwan Orchards! Juicy and sweet they are perfect for eating like an apple or for baking as a pie! I drive past 3 other orchards just to get to Schwan's and it is soooooo worth the drive! The owners and staff are as sweet as their peaches! read more

Since we went during the late summer/ early fall there were peaches, apples, mums, squash, pumpkins and other locally grown produce. They also import produce items to cover your needs. Since it was a weekday at lunch, there wasn't a ton of traffic. Over the weekend or more popular times, I'd assume it could get a little congested. Overall, I recommend it if you're looking for fresh produce and would like to support a locally owned business.

As for the cookies, they lacked a rich, buttery flavor and tasted mostly like flour--which is disappointing, since it's usually hard to mess up a cookie. While it seems a lot of people flock here because of the high ratings, it didn't live up to the hype for me. I won't be going back.
