My former spouse hired Nick Plante as legal council to request Modification of Divorce agreement (4th time). Attorney plante reached out to my previous attorney of which I did not hire. After receiving a demanding and threatening email stating the buyout and how it was to be handled, of which was not in my best interest. I promptly responded with an three (3) alternative means of resolution, that was in January of 2025. I left numerous phone messages requesting a call back along with emails of which Attorney Plante blatantly ignored me. I hired my own legal council and after wasting approximately $2000 and 5 months of waiting, Attorney Plante has ignored and ghosted my legal council along with myself. The matter being brought is frivoulous and without merit. He ignores and is disrespectful of other Attorney's time. He apparently takes the money and that's it. No real representation or follow thru on the matter. I did receive a complete insulting and low ball offer, only to be told that the had not run it by his client. Again have not heard anything from Attorney Plante since April 2025. DON'T BOTHER WASTING YOUR MONEY ON ATTORNEY PLANTE! read more

Went in for a hour consult to get legal advice from attorney Marissa Higgins. As soon as I walked into the conference room her whole vibe was off like I did something. Or maybe like she knew me? Divorce and family matters are emotional and require a particular bedside mannor. She is lacking in that department. Immediately I felt the annoyance of my presence as soon as started to talking. Correcting me over every detail of who the judge is and who the judge isn't. She took my paperwork to look up my previous info and then came back explaining the new judge responsible for my file, and then it went way left. Everything I told her I needed help with was met with an annoyed disgusted face and that wouldn't hold up in court. I left 24 minutes into the consult as she told me this wasn't going to work out and left the room. I left in tears yelling she shouldn't be a lawyer. Originally I was referred to the group for Attorney Nicholas Plante. He was highly recommended by another attorney who fell ill and couldn't help me anymore. I went to see them a year ago, took their advice, and was thrown out of the house with my children. A year later, I am nearly divorced. The staff here was fantastic. They were always friendly, even when my mental fog was thick. They always did what I asked. The only issue I had with the process was that no one explained what was going to happen (or what they were trying to make happen, had they been dealing with a sane couple). Maybe they didn't know what my husband would do, but I would have liked an agenda before I went to a meeting with them. Many times I would have declined a meeting if I had known we were just going to re-review paperwork. Again. So although this divorce was expensive, it was worth every penny. read more

Wanted to believe in Attorney Schwartz, but after 5.5 months into the process he failed to disclose a substantial Conflict of Interest regarding his personal relationship with the opposing Counsil. According to the "Restatement of the Law Governing Lawyers", Attorney Schwartz hit the mark of a "Conflict of Interest", in all categories! When he was confronted with this information he insisted that he disclosed it at our initial meeting. Mind you he later stated.... he didn't feel like his personal relationship with the opposing Attorney was a conflict of interest! Problem is...this was not his decision to make!! Paid this firm a ridiculous amount of money, with little to no deliverables associated with his itemized charges. Don't be surprised if his billable hours include leaving a voice message on your cell phone with the following: "call me when you can". This was not a scheduled call but made randomly without any pre-warning; at the tune of hundreds of dollars. This firm will charge you for every e-mail, regardless of the time spent to draft and send. Always a minimum of 25 minutes. If you want to discuss how to better streamline e-mails and control costs, be prepared to be interagated and insulted just for asking! This firm has no reservations sending you an hourly rate increase, for parties within the firm, two weeks after you sign an Agreement to hire him. Then proceed to charge you at the new rates without your acceptance or amending the Agreement enforced. (Which appears to be a violation of ethical practices for Lawyers.) Schwartz lacks integrity, is dishonest, arrogant, confrontational, inefficient and will not advocate on your behalf. Parted ways after the conflict of interest was revealed. But not without paying a fortune with little deliverables to speak of. Save your time, money and aggravation! read more

Public service announcement for anyone who may need a lawyer or mediator: Nicholas Plante, 300 Main St. Worcester, is rude, arrogant, lazy, confrontational, and unprofessional. Plante was hired to resolve the issue of who would be awarded the dog, and a few other small items. He offered the possibility of meeting separately, not all together in a group, which I had never heard of, but okay. My ex wanted to meet separately. I asked that he fact check information provided, explaining that there was a history there- he did not. Plante awarded the dog to my ex because she registered the dog, paid for the license, and the dog is registered to her address. Problem is the dog was never registered, there is no license, and he always lived at the house I bought, my address. He asked if I would sign a release which would allow him to talk to the dog's vet. I said sure. The release was never presented, and when I called or emailed him for 4 weeks he never responded. He was simply too lazy to do his due diligence. He took 8 weeks to provide his memorandum, when he said he would provide it in a week. He would not return emails or phone calls. It can be a hard enough situation, you shouldn't have to worry about a lazy, unprofessional mediator. Hopefully no one out there needs a mediator, but if you do stay clear of Nicholas Plante! He is a donkey! I would give less than 1 star if possible. read more
