I reached out to this firm refered to me by a friend for my case. I first called on 09/08/2025 and I was forwarded to lawyer. We talked for 30' asking different questions about my case and she told me that she was going to email me with a questionaire to fill out and send back. I was looking my emails every day. She never got back to me. On 09/12/2025 I've called them back to ask if they had my email address written wrong. The receptionist followed the same routine as I was contacting them for the first time. She forwarded me to the same laywer and she started asking me the same exactly questions. When I told her if they are interested in my case, she replied we don't do cases like yours and we can refer you to another laywer, although they had originally told me that they were interested. She continued asking the same exactly questions we've been already through. So, I finally told her to stop wasting my time and I will find another laywer that will be interested in me and not only to the size of the case. I've found it totally unprofessional. I didn't see the hole...because it should not have been there. Each morning going to work required me to walk along a subway platform, and enter a train. I used Schwartzapfel Lawyers for a worker compensation case. I had broken my foot while on the job and struggled for three months for the insurance company to pay my salary and approve the surgery. As soon as I hired the lawyers, they placed a call and I was able to get my surgery. Later I required a second surgery and I was able to be approved right away. It took a year before I decided to settle my case and my lawyers never pushed me to speed things up. When I was ready I received my settlement quickly and was able to move on with my life. The worst ever. W. A. was my lawyer. He has no communication skills, no technical skills, and the whole experience was beyond bad. If I could give NO STARS that I would give this firm. They take you at your most vulnerable, give you a baby lawyer and then do not deliver the goods.. W.A. was beyond bad. I have had lawyers with whom I felt sympatico. This guy was a baby. So declasse. So condescending. So inexperienced. If there was any way to deter people from using this lawyer and this firm, I would take every step necessary to be sure that they never let this guy practice again. I can only say that if anyone is reading this DO NOT USE SCHWARTZAPFEL. i can't begin to describe my disgust, displeasure and every other negative adjective about the lawyer that took my case. My case went nowhere. I have been disqualified by SSA because of this law firm.
