We decided to eat medium pepperoni pizza and 6 garlic parm wings. Both were delicious. The service was polite and very accommodating. I didn't realize at first there are 2 rooms for your dining needs. Many options to accommodate a group of different palates -- salads, hoagies, pizza, pizza rolls, wings, etc.. You cannot beat fresh made dough.. so good and we love the sauce- very hint of sweet.. fantastic!! Hope to find my way back here in the future!! read more

I checked this joint out after watching number 1 pizza in Pittsburgh although it wasn't number 1they were still said to have great pizza I'm sorry to say I was very disappointed the only thing good about the pizza is the cheese the hoagies are very dry and the wings severely undercooked the are indeed of new chefs the people and service was superb read more

I love this place! I have tried various pizzas, the Italian sub and today the pepperoni roll! All have been excellent! The pepperoni roll really surprised me how large it was! I think it's the dough for an entire small pizza! Cannot beat the service either! Everyone there has been great! This is THEE BEST pizza, hoagie, salad, fries and chicken spot there is!!! I don't drink beer but they sell beer now too and finally after all these years they take card! I don't know when they started taking cards but I LOVE IT! Me and my gram (RIP) have been coming here for years and the quality has not changed and the prices haven't too much! I live close to them and it sucks they don't deliver to my house but I will catch the bus in a heart beat to enjoy pizza night! No place comes close. They recognize my voice- know what I want and are so kind and on point with their food they should have more awards than they already do! Fresh veggies! Perfect sauces! Feels like the neighborhood pizzeria it is. Excellent homey vibe. Honest spot on recommendations. Absolutely cannot beat the value with fresh ingredients perfect crispy crust (I ordered the regular thin but they have 2 other crust options) nice sauce flavor and volume and good quality cheese. No greasy or soggy pizza here! Portions are amazing. The 4 slice option was more than enough for 1 person. I ordered a salad to go with chicken and it was huge. I really like that each pizza is your own creation. There are no set pizza combinations. Eating here for the first time feels like I've been coming here for years. The environment is friendly relaxed and small town neighborhood chic. Just go. I can't imagine anyone not having a great experience and great food at the absolutely best value I have experienced anywhere in the country. Hands down. Think I'm exaggerating? I travel across the country every week and have been for 10 years. That's how serious I am about my recommendations. read more

Came in for a quick lunch (by myself) during a recent weekday. The service was prompt after placing my order at the counter. They have a few very reasonably priced lunch specials...I oped for the personal pepperoni pizza and a can of pop, but I also ordered a side salad. The side salad came out first. It was huge with decent ranch dressing. covering the lettuce and veggies. Then the pizza came out. Unfortunately for me, it had a fairly sweet tomato-based sauce and that is just not my style (I prefer a more tangy, vinegary-based sauce). The crust was cooked just right, but the sauce just did not do it for me. This spot is incredibly convenient if you are across the street at UPMC Presbyterian / Montefiore so if you want a low-cost meal option close by...just remember to bring your wallet as they only take cash, no credit cards. read more

Have been going here for years and missed a few when I was traveling for work. But back in Oakland for past couple of years and Sciulli's is my go-to for pizza for myself, family and to treat my work peeps, I think COVID may have lessened the amount of cheese, but happily pay for extra. Authentic, not stamped out and delicious! Friday special was a large 2 topping with free decadent breadsticks. Yummmmmmm, extra cheese and mushrooms for a take home dinner that was a great Friday Lenten meal and welcome change from fish. The rest goes into the freezer for another dinner. Came in from Florida for a short two day work trip, asked the gentlemen at the hotel desk where we could get some good pizza and he recommended Sciulli's. We took a very short walk from the hotel and located this little gem of a hole in the wall, we asked them how their pizza was and they stated "good enough to stay in business for over 40 years. My travel partner and I both ordered a medium pie and to sat it was amazing would be an understatement (we considered eating there every day before we left). The staff was awesome and very friendly, and did I mention the pizza was absolutely amazing! I highly recommend this place and will more than likely go back tomorrow night! read more

Old School diner vibe. Great beer cooler. I thought prices were great so value a 5. Hot wings: thought I ordered but maybe i said "chicken wings", but was great. Breaded and crisp, meat tender. With wing sauce would be spectacular 5 if it's good sauce. Pepperoni Roll also a 5. Marinara is excellent. Chicken Parm sandwich all 5s. Old school and son loved it. I loved my bites. Again, the marinara was perfect taste and quantity. Lastly a sausage and mushroom regular large pie. Lots of mushrooms and cheese. Wife gave 5 me and son 4. If middle crust a bit more done 5. In my second order, I got the special with a large 3-topping pizza + free breadsticks for $20. For that price, I got an amazing, tasty (and a somewhat oily) pizza that didn't skimp on the toppings that I paid a bit for. Breadsticks with the pizza sauce make for a great snack as well. I think this pizza place nails the sauce/cheese ratio the best around Oakland (perhaps in all of Pitt). Will almost certainly order pizza from here again! Edit: Regarding my first order, I got the shrimp basket special prior to the pizza for a quick and cheap meal for lunch before work. The shrimp didn't really taste that great, and the fries lacked a bit of salt. The cocktail sauce was not original (packaged by Kraft) nor did it taste good with the shrimp/fries. Wouldn't order this again, but that doesn't change the fact that their pizza is really good. read more

There aren't any options for drinks in the refrigerator that aren't super sugary or "diet," i.e. no seltzer waters or juices, just sodas, lemonades, and sweet teas. But if you're hungry for a slice of pizza two times as large as your face, you know where you can find it!

They serve it with pork belly, which does not give the same punch of flavor to cut through the sauce as guanchali or bacon. The papardelle noodle were dry and clumpy. The dish was very heavy. Do not recommend. The place is chill. It is close to the theater. I might try it again if in the area.
