What can I say about scoffers sandwich bar? It's on the little courtyard opposite the main church in Guisborough and due to it's close proximity to the college makes it a favourite lunchtime haunt among the students there.
The whole shop layout is a little crazy, you step down into it and it almost appears like an old victorian kitchen with modern appliances placed in it but it's clean and all the food is fresh.
It does sell cheap sandwiches and salads and is often throwing in little side offers such as a free bag of crisps or discounts on salads. There's no doubt it is good value for money and if you're wanting something quick and cheap it's a good place to go.
I was a college student myself when I used to visit it and I found that while the staff are really friendly to most customers they do tend to treat college students with a bit more caution no matter how polite you are (and believe me I was brought up to always be polite no matter what!) so if you are a student and find this, don't take it personally, you know how students can act and it's just the staff keeping guard! read more
