Ice cream most anywhere is a treat! This is a small shop with only a few tables and limited bench-seating out front. Servings were fair as we each got small 1-dips in a dish--over $10 for the two! They were not busy so the young girls behind the counter seemed bored not very attentive. Still a 4-star as it was good ice cream! read more

Ok so the ice cream here is pretty good and reasonably priced for ice cream nowadays (I guess). There a lot of flavors and other more expensive ice cream items on the menu which was pretty easy to read, as well as lots of packaged candy for sale. One of the girls who was working was quite rude to one of my friends, pressuring her to get her order in after she hadn't even tried any of the flavors. The other girl there was really nice and helped my other friend and was very nice giving out samples as requested, although she did mix up the oat milk chocolate chip with the oat milk chocolate cookie dough (forgivable). The line process here is an absolute mess. You have to walk through the entire store just to get to the counter where you start ordering, having to push your way through everyone trying to pay. Then, after getting the ice cream, most of the employees were clearly in no rush to check everyone out, causing a huge line and people cutting because no one knew what was going on. One lady complained about a rude employee and didn't want her tip to go to her (not sure if that's possible). After somewhat enjoying our ice cream after a hectic experience, one of the employees stated making out with her boyfriend (presumably) which was kind of weird to witness from afar. The ice cream was okay, but this was on a Thursday night, so I couldn't imagine what it might be like when they are busier. Went today, local here. Went with my wife and daughter. 3 girls working the front end. Ordered and the order was left on the counter. I was given an attitude and so was my 4 year daughter? At least hire someone with some sort of customer experience. Or at least have those winners that work at the ice cream shop to just be nice? Lock in. My six-year-old daughter and I stopped at Scoops for ice cream on our way home as a special treat for great behavior. What a little gem in this charming town. The shop was adorable, filled with old fashioned sodas and candies. The owner, Rob was behind the counter. He was so kind to my daughter and prepared a "flight" of ice creams for me to sample..heaven! The cherry on top was when he and his wife allowed my daughter to hold their 10-month-old son. Here's the "scoop" on this ice cream shop. Our visit was a well-deserved treat and a great way to close out the Labor Day weekend. Located in a strip mall on the Tamiami Trail, the decor is unique so that being said, I won't even attempt to describe the ambience. The important thing to note is that there are tables and comfortable chairs inside if you want air-conditioned comfort or if you prefer to enjoy your ice cream alfresco, there's outdoors seating available. Your pet is also welcome at the outdoor tables and there are dog bowls with water. My treat at Scoops of Venice was simple, a single scoop of chocolate fudge brownie ice cream on a sugar cone. Delicious and satisfying! And if a sugar cone isn't your preference, consumers can also get their scoops served on a cake cone or even a waffle cone. Maybe an ice cream cone is too conservative for you, then step up and try one of their banana splits or sundaes. We saw some kids eating them and those deserts looked terrific. Importantly, their ice cream is rich and flavorful and I believe the product is sourced from a local Florida creamery. When you deserve a treat or are just in the mood for one, you should definitely check this place out. There are so many amazing options, I can't even start to describe them all.
