They were able to get 14 of the 16 negative items completely removed from my credit report in six months and raised my FICO 8 score by 170 points. Scott and his team are amazing! I'm still in the process of getting my credit repaired, but so far it has gone exactly the way Scott said it would. He was very patient with my tons of questions, explained the process as well as how things worked with the credit bureaus. EJ is very prompt and helpful in his responses. Customer Service is VERY important to me and these guys are top notch. I've already recommended them to my friends. The cost is comparable with other services of the same type, but I think the personal attention these guys give is more important. I mean are you going to talk to the owner of Lexington Law??? My impression is that Scoreology's team is made up of very decent people, the kind you would want to go and have a beer with. But in my case (home mortgage), they weren't especially helpful. They have you sign up an monitor your credit through IdentityIQ for an additional $21.95 per month. The problem is IdentityIQ shows a VantageScore 3.0 credit score (which you can view for free on sites like Credit Karma and Mint), but mortgage lenders look at your FICO 2 score, so there is little value in monitoring the VantageScore. Scoreology's team gives some good common sense credit repair advice (not unlike what you can easily find on internet), but they have no capability to simulate your score based on different variables (e.g., reduce credit card debt, eliminate negative accounts, pay bills on time for 6 months, etc.). Finally, they rely on disputing information that is not consistent across the three credit bureaus. When I called to have these dispute comments removed, my FICO 2 scores dropped over 40 points - but had no impact on my VantageScore 3.0. If you are looking to improve credit to purchase a home, it might make better sense to work with a lender directly. They have the capability to simulate your FICO 2 score and they will freely give you the advice freely because they want to issue the home loan. read more
