I've been wanting to check this place out for at least 2 years. It's like 2-3 blocks from my home. I finally planned on stopping by on a Monday afternoon. It appears that they have two entrances. One on the northeast side of the building and then the second one of the south side of the building. The parking lot is not really big but they do have some parking in front of the building. Upon walking in you notice that they carry a nice selection of frames. I walk towards the back where the employees were. I was assisted by a young name (didn't get his name). I showed him my painting on canvas. He measure it then proceed to show my what they had already made. He also stated that if I didn't see anything that I like in the already made they could also make me a custom frame. I found a perfect frame at a really good price. They attached the canvas picture to the frame in about 10 minutes. I will definitely return. They also offer a variety of specials daily and discounts. Please inquire. read more

In addition to bringing in prints to be framed, I brought in my Just Right Shoe collection hoping Scott and Sons Picture Framing could suggest a way to display my tiny shoe collection. The staff took the time to help me select the perfect mats and frames for my prints and they turned out great. Creating a shadow box for the tiny shoes was challenging but the staff took the time to create a custom shadow box that not only displayed the shoes beautifully, but also designed it to fit perfectly into the organized closet system I recently installed in my master bedroom closet. A lot of money for a lot of quality. You'd figure that spending a chunk of change to get pictures framed would garner a poor review right? Well, from my research with Michael's and some other chain stores, you are paying franchise fees, and for the overhead. Not necessarily what I want to do with my hard-earned dollars. I was gifted some posters that are irreplaceable and as of now, worth serious memories. Upon opening the tubes that held the posters, I found GIANT posters with high-quality color and the person on the posters meant a ton to what I hold dear to my heart. Michael's wanted similar monies to use inferior materials, and from our discussions, even materials that would put the framing in jeopardy in the future. Have I mentioned that I don't like supporting national chains? This only reinforced the idea. We were talked to like neighbors rather than customers, with simple guidance to make sure that the posters were going to be framed to the utmost quality and last a lifetime. This is where building a relationship with a local business shows it's true value. I really can't say enough good things about this business. Super nice people, excellent pricing, quality work, and a great selection. As much as I love Hobby Lobby, their custom framing is very expensive so I brought two pieces of art I'd recently purchased into Discount Picture Framing to see what they could offer. I was greeted at the door by Zelda and Zippy (the two feline "employees".... so cute!) and the owner helped me right away. The price was about half what I was expecting to pay and they did an exceptional job! Ready in 1 day! I'll continue getting my art and craft supplies at Hobby Lobby, but for framing, I will ONLY use Discount Picture Framing in the future. A+! read more

Best frame shop in the metro area hands down. I bring several pieces a year from out of town to have them do the framing for me. They can frame absolutely ANYTHING you want framed. Locally owned and operated family business which is always good to support as well. The owners are extremely skilled artisans who take the greatest care in designing and custom framing of all items brought into their shop. Do not let the name fool you. This is not discount quality. I was going to get a costly photo framed there. I have eight done at the business. The interior decorator came with me after she had gone to Buckhead and requested a quote from a different vendor. Much to my disappointment, the "discount framing was not that at all, the price was $278 higher. The owner almost seemed insulted that I compared the Buckhead Location had a better price and materials and mats and glass. I went into the "Discount Framers Shop." He was none caring, no empathy, and said, " I don't care if you come back to take your business elsewhere". I replied ok, turned around, and went back to Buckhead frame shop. And had the shop do the framing work. So what I am saying compare prices it could save you a lot of money. They portray themselves as "discounter" when they are not. As for discounters's, when they are much higher that the competition. Why? Don't believe me, but just compare prices. I will not be back and will tell all my friends that this store is no"bargain frame shop." In addition I will post this concern on all on all social media. These guys are wonderful, very friendly, and willing to go the extra mile and then some. I didn't realize they were closing at noon on Christmas Eve, I got there about twenty 'til with a Kinkade I wanted framed for my wife for Christmas. I had to wait until Christmas Eve because I have nowhere to hide something that big for very long. At first they said they couldn't do it, because they had already shut down their machinery, but they turned it back on and had my wife's painting framed by 11:55!
