I also viewed that house the same day/time as the buyer who ended up with the house. My Realtor tried to contact Mr Wilson by phone to let him know she was bringing an offer but he wouldn't return her calls. My offer to purchase that house was almost IDENTICAL to the one the Seller accepted with one big difference...my offer was substantially higher than the offer Mr Wilson presented. The Seller NEVER new about our BETTER offer since Mr Wilson chose in his zeal to make the quick sale NEVER bothered to call our Realtor back. Oh he finally contacted her the next day to let her know it was already pending and gave his lame excuses as to why he didn't return her call. I get it. The housing market is hot. Most houses sell quickly and offers can be plentiful. In this case I wasn't even get the opportunity submit my offer the same day. It is my opinion that Mr Wilson DID NOT represent his Sellers best interests because he didn't bother to see if the other offer was better...which it was...by $20+k. I would never list a property with a person or company who apparently lacks the integrity to do his best for the clients he's supposed to be representing. I'm sure the Sellers would not be happy if they knew all the details.

This was particularly true with regard to scouting, and then showing us remotely via video phone tours of the numerous homes we were interested in. Being from the North East United States, it was simply not possible for us to tour the homes in person. Todd ventured into attics, crawl spaces and utility closets to both give us a perspective of the condition of the home's mechanical systems, roofing, and general conditions, to driving the neighborhoods that the homes resided in, to provide us of the complete picture of the homes environment/location. This individual proceeded to verbally abuse the seller's realtor regarding the agreed to price of the home, to the point that the seller's realtor eventually ended the conversation by hanging up the phone. It is unclear what relationship this individual had to Scott Graves; however, what was clear is that this individual had no professional involvement regarding the home being sold. This event demonstrates a tremendous lack of professionalism on the part of Scott Graves. Now, if this is the type of realtor you are interested in retaining, by all means, use Scott Graves. However, if you would prefer a realtor that is professional and competent, there are many, many realtors in the Raleigh-Durham-RTP (Research Triangle Park) area for you to choose from.
