Let me tell you that King's Street Hammersmith is NOTHING like the street near Pall Mall with a similar name. Like most shops in Kings Mall, Clinton Cards has struck me as a little bit abandoned and empty recently, which is probably due to the opening of the cuter Scribbler in Hammersmith Broadway. The cards are average, but I find that the range is not great for birthday cards, as they all seem to be so sappy and sentimental, epecially the grandparents' cards. The service is what you'd expect from a usually empty shop, and it is cheaper than a lot of other card places, so while it's not the best card/gift shop, it's not too bad either.

Clinton Cards Berkhamsted is ideally situated on the High Street, right next to Lower Kings Road. The store is actually a lot larger than the front makes out, extending a long way into the back. Clintons sells a variety of cards for all occasions as well as gifts such as bears, mugs, etc. The staff usually look a little bored, not that I blame them, but they never seem too keen on helping out and groan if you pay with anything over ten pounds. Overall though, for a card shop Clintons has the best variety.

It's faux leather and has a back made out of netting. It cost me about 20.00 pounds a few months back. It is really comfortable, reclines and everything. I buy my pocket notebooks at Ryman or WH Smith. You can also get pilot and roller ball pens here. Not as important as food, but near enough.
