I would highly recommend Scott's! To start the project, Nathan met us and listened to our wishlist, and a little more than a week later, we had a quote that covered everything on our list with separate prices for each. The total cost was very fair! In fact, I had a quote from another company that was twice the amount and didn't include everything on our list. Once the work started, the crew was pleasant and respectful of our property. They cleaned up the best they could every night. They worked hard and did a wonderful job! Many days, Nathan and/or Scott stopped by the project for status updates. And several times jumped in to help! We were able to get our project done in early fall after just contacting them in August! Every other company that I contacted said they would be able to get to our project in the spring. Our project included removing a damaged concrete front sidewalk and filling in/seeding; removing a large concrete parking pad and dealing with drainge issues; installing a retention wall and 15'x15' paver patio and smaller paver garage entry; new drains; poured pad for garbage/recylce bins; rock around garage; and shed prep. They even cleaned up a mess left by Ameren after they hit a gasline trying to replace a pole. Nicor had to dig a huge hole in our yard to repair the gasline. Scott's crew took the time to add some dirt and smooth it out and add some grass seed. If I ever need landscaping services in the future, I'm calling Scott's! read more

My husband and I needed lawn care at our old home and after doing a lot of research we found Scott's Exterior Maintenance to have excellent reviews and high ratings. We had tried a couple different larger maintenance companies in the past and were not happy with the results, so we were skeptical of using yet another company to try to clear up the weeds and dead patches in our yard. We have several large mulch beds/islands on our property; just had a spring leaf/lawn cleanup and mulch refurbishment of those beds. The crew did a great job with the cleanup and did take away all debris including the many ornamental grasses that were cut back. The new mulch looks fantastic. And when done, a good, final clean-up took place so that I could hardly tell they were here. Before and during the job, Nate was very responsive to my email, phone, and text interactions. Scott's Exterior Maintenance did my Spring sod project for me. They were wonderful from the start to finish! They came right out and gave me an estimate that was extremely fair and hundreds less then the local competition! They were able to get out before the "big rain" hit which assisted me greatly with natures watering can, AND they timed the excavation of the old grass within a day of laying the new! The owner actually showed up to check on the progress a couple days later - needless to say, I was very impressed by that! I would highly recommend them!!! read more

We hired Scott's to re-do our front yard. That included pulling old bricks laid in concrete around all the landscaping and around two 30 year old trees with roots a foot above the ground and replacing them with flat flagstone. They also pulled out 6 old huge bushes and replaced them with new ones and were great about finding the exact plants we wanted. They did an amazing job building flagstone borders around the old trees using concrete by hand without disturbing the huge roots and it's all very level. We recommend them! read more

Scott's is a great service. Today Nathan was by to aerate and overseed the yard. There was a large branch down in the backyard resulting from the recent storm. I'm recovering from knee replacement surgery and have not been able to move the branch to the front for bulk pick up. After having Scott's do a successful project earlier this summer, I had them come back to do another small job to remove two vibernum that were buried half-way through the earth's crust. They removed the shrubs (had to use a saw to break through the roots), filled the giant hole and hauled away the debris. All very quickly and for a very reasonable price. read more

I called Scotts for my elderly parents are unable to take care of their Lawn and Landscaping themselves. I live in Colorado and getting things done for them sometimes isn't easy. Actually showed up to give us an estimate on driveway. All other concrete companies in bloomington never bother to show up at all For the time we had set up. On time and so friendly. Too bad there's not an option to give Scott's a zero star rating. Called Scott to question a charge on my bill and he started yelling so loudly I had to yell louder to be heard. Had Scott's come out last fall to remove some fescue do some reseeding and lay some sod. Fescue did not come back Sod looks great and growing fine. However, place they reseeded are still bare, none of the grass seed took hold, not big areas, but 4 or 5 small areas. maybe the weather got cold before it had a chance to get going. read more

Did great work tearing down the old deck and building a new one. They also maintain my lawn with mowing and fertilizer, and do a consistently nice job. Pricing is fair, and communication is thorough. They completed a great looking deck for us. The work and workers were very professional. They made sure the landscaping around the deck was all back in order and to our liking.
