When someone isn't happy with the coffee they've just sent out (which tasted great by the way) And spends time fixing it until they feel it's right. And then gives you more coffee! FREE. That's perfection and that is customer service. This is a lovely quaint station house attached to Prescot train station. We only went downstairs which was lovely and cozy and has a toilet. Just as well after two large cups of coffee. The rustic vibe is perfect and the menu looked really good. I could even select vegan options. More of that on my next visit. The staff are lovely polite and engaging. You feel more like part of the family than a customer. Tune in on my next visit. I will venture upstairs and add more photos then. I have been to Neon Jamon three times and I enjoy it more and more every time I go. The whole concept is just so beautifully simple and effective. Pick a few small plates and either a bottle of fizz, a jug of sangria, a glass of sherry from their impressive selection or a Spanish beer and enjoy! It gives the whole tapas thing just a touch more class - I love it! The menu is extensive but not complicated and doesn't patronise the customer by veering from proper, traditional Spanish cuisine into 'tapas light' as I would call it and as many tapas chain restaurants do. The building itself is small and cosy without being pokey and lovely if you don't mind a bit of a chat with the people on the next table or at the window bar/tall stool area (my favourite place to sit). The staff are always friendly and seem genuinely excited about the menu which is always refreshing. Neon Jamon really is a great place to go for a fun, relaxed night and to enjoy really fabulous food with the extra glamour of fizz - what's not to love?! P.S. Since I had never had one prepared that way, I thought I'd give it a try. I enjoyed the experience. The perfect size rib eye steak was brought out with beautiful grill marks, sizzling on a hot stone for me to finish the cooking to my preferred state of doneness (medium rare of course). I absolutely love the decor in this place it's very rustic.
