We were in town for a work trip and were looking for a place to grab a quick lunch and found this fabulous place! If I lived here - this would become a go-to spot for sure! Today's soup was a creamy chicken with wild rice - super flavorful with lots of chicken and veggies and a nice amount of black pepper (I love me some black pepper!) I also got a BLTA sandwich on a light rye toasted. The bacon was plentiful and perfectly crispy and crumbled so it stayed on the sandwich. We sought this place out, hoping for a late breakfast. We missed the full breakfast but the peach jam bar (coffee cake) and fruit were a treat. My hubby got the BLTA which was also terrific. Took the drive into town off the freeway for a quick lunch on our way to Oklahoma city. Imagine my surprise when I saw a fried bologna sandwich on the menu! I was immediately charmed by the warm welcome we received by the staff wearing shirts with quotes from "To Kill a Mockingbird" on the back. The food arrived quickly and was delicious! Get the fried Bologna Sandwich if it's offerred. The white bread is puffy and soft and the Miracle Whip is a tangy contrast to the warm bologna and melted American cheese. We left with two buttery shortbread cookies and a Scout T-shirt to remember this wonderful lunch place. read more

We loved this place! Just found it through Yelp and looked at the reviews and thought we would give it a try. We were just passing through town and needed somewhere to eat lunch. It was an absolute gem! I can't believe a place like this exists in this small town. Definitely a must go to! Great ambiance and delicious food. We bought tshirts and scout coffee to go contigo cups as souvenirs! The egg salad sandwich was a little messy but good- the soup was even better!! I also got an iced coffee to go which theirs has condensed milk and caramel in it- yummy!!! We will recommend this place to others and definitely return if we can in the future! read more

I was pleasantly surprised to find such a lovely cafe in Ardmore. I was in town for work and driving past Scout I could tell that it was my kind of place. It's great that they set their base price for all sandwiches and salads at $7.50 with the ability to customize everything. I built my own sandwich with the base of chicken salad. They use shredded chicken and a nice blend of spices for a unique flavor. You can add up to four veggies for no extra cost, and they have some very unique choices like banana peppers and house made pickled onions. I didnt particularly care for the pasta salad though. I was super impressed with their menu and the atmosphere of the cafe. The freshness of the ingredients and creativity of the menu is a breath of fresh air for the area. I would have never expected to find a place like this here. It truly did not feel like I was in Ardmore, more like Chicago! read more

Pretty impressed to find this place while I was in Ardmore for business. Def not something I would have expected to see in that town. The interior is very modern and hip like you would find in most big cities. The menu is simple and everything looked very fresh. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I had the spicy roast beef and spinach pasta salad. I loved the sandwich, but I would have liked a larger portion when it came to the pasta side. Was in Ardmore for a quick trip, checked out Yelp for restaurants near the courthouse, and saw Scout has a 5 solid star rating - it is absolutely deserving! I liked the menu selection process where your order is chosen by circling and scratching out items on the menu. I'm a picky eater, so it made all of my choices easy and clear. My spicy roast beef on a croissant was quickly made a delivered with a smile. I also had a gluten-free oatmeal, peanut butter, chocolate chip, M&M cookie that was really tasty. An orange slice added to my water was a nice detail - the small things matter, and Scout missed no details. The restaurant was squeaky clean even during and after lunch rush. We stopped into Scout while in Ardmore for a memorial service for a relative that recently passed. What a gem this lovely restaurant is! The spring mix salad with blue cheese, chicken, candied walnuts and apples is amazing! The Cobb salad, according to my brother, was outstanding. We had a piece of homemade pea-picking cake for dessert which was exceptional! The staff was pleasant and attentive. We were driving from Oklahoma City to Dallas and pulled up restaurants for lunch... We specifically got off the highway to go there. We arrived inside at 2:00, the manager would not let us order... She said her kitchen closes at 2. I told her website says 4, she said they are open, but she closes the kitchen. We were very unhappy! So...
