We ordered the loco moco with hamburger and fried rice, as well as the Portuguese sausage with regular rice, and both dishes were delicious and full of flavor. If you're looking for a fluffy, silky, moist, flavorful, cheesy, egg omelette, you WONT find it here! Came in for brunch on Saturday morning and ordered an egg and cheese omelette-substituting the potatoes for a side of fried rice. The omelette was paper thin, dry, rubbery, and extremely overcooked. The cheese on the omelette was so overcooked, it hardened creating a chewy, crunchy, plastic texture on top. Flavor wise, I tasted nothing. Was I eating a piece of leather?! Also, why was the temperature of the food not even hot? Sadly, the fried rice was bland as well. It might as well have been white rice. (The kids menu offers an egg and cheese omelette with fries. Do you want your kids to consume this?) Luckily, we ordered the buttermilk pancakes to share. The pancakes were good, not great. They are your basic pancakes you'd get at any diner or even from a box you can make at home and it was the ONLY warm dish served at our table. LOVE the Norco location and thought it would be the same here, but I was disappointed. This place is busier, crowded, and the food wasn't as good despite the menu being the same. You order at the register, pay and are directed to a table (inside or outside, whichever you prefer). Luckily we ordered and were seated before the line got long & out the door. Employees were friendly but service was lacking as they simply drop off your order at your table and no longer check up on you. Our food arrived after a short wait. I've seen this cafe being advertised to me on Yelp for quite some time, so I decided I needed to make a visit! Parking is difficult, especially on the weekends. You pay and then situate yourself at the table. Your food and drink will be delivered to you, and that's that. We also decided to try their P.O.G. juice which comprised of pineapples, oranges, and guava juice. It didn't take long for our food to come out. Their Loco Moco was delicious and quite filling; my fiancé and I had to share. Their ube waffle was a bit overwhelming only because I'm not a crazy sweet tooth. There are pools of ube on the Belgian waffle, with coconut syrup and strawberry slices. I did really like their juice because it had a great combination of fruits. My husband and I used to dine at their original location in Norco frequently. We were thrilled to see they opened up another location in Ontario, which is a bit closer for us when we're down in this area of the IE. They continue to bring unique flavors inspired by Hawaiian favorite dishes at this location and we were ecstatic to see our favorite items from their original location on the Ontario menu. Definitely a solid first visit. Scramblers Cafe in Ontario is located within a strip of businesses very close to Ontario Mills. They have free parking shared among the other businesses. The establishment seems to have a better layout and more seating than their other location; which is a plus. Their staff also seemed to have a good system down of seating customers AFTER they've placed their orders to ensure there isn't an issue with people just hoarding tables/seats. My family and I came in on a weekday for breakfast and they were pretty busy. The staff we interacted with were helpful and friendly. There was a little bit of a wait on our food, but again, they were busy for a weekday. Everything we ordered was tasty! Our order consisted of - Kalua Pork Benedict - Captain Mac'Nut French Toast - Spam Musubi Bowl & Auntie Lily's Meatball The food was really good and definitely made fresh. The Captain Mac'Nut French Toast is one of our favorites and definitely did not disappoint. The Spam Musubi Bowl with the "Meatball" was also good. The meatball wasn't really what I expected, but it wasn't bad; just different. I think my only gripe with the meal was the cost. Yes, I understand the cost of everything is up right now. However, the cost of the items seems to be high for the portion sizes and what you're ordering. For example, although the French Toast is great, I can't justify $15 for four pieces (literally two slices of bread cut in half). The Spam Musubi Bowl was also OVER $15 and, for most of the plate being rice with some scoops of spam, I can't justify it. Stopped in to have something to eat while my husband took care of an account. Had the Turkey avocado sandwich with cheese. It came with delish fries that were double fried I think. But they had a nice crispy crust on them and so tasty. The restaurant is very clean and nicely decorated with Hawaiian music which made me feel like I was in Hawaii. Ono aka Delicious! First time trying this spot that went kinda viral and I'm glad I did. You order at the counter and then find a table. They will bring your food to you. This place gets a bit busy so it's best to come early. There is outside seating too. The Loco Moco was great! Serving is pretty big. Love the gravy. We ordered: Clubhouse Benedict $16 Florentine Omelette $16 Ube iced coffee 6.50 Regular coffee 4.00 The food was just okay. The potatoes had hardly any seasoning and the omelette had the same problem with two sad slices of cheese slapped on the outside as seen in the photo. Apparently they are a part of the Aloha Stacks brand I ordered the kalua pork eggs benedict with over easy eggs instead and it was SO YUM!!! The only other time I've had something like this was in Hawaii. The homefries were really good too, crispy and soft. Food: The food has been SO good every time we've been here. On multiple occasions and we've loved it every time. The bbq beef was the best thing I've ever had here it's by far my favorite. Scramblers has been on our radar for places to try, and we are already dying to go back! When we arrived, there was a line going out the door to order. We maybe waited 10 minutes to place our orders, and it was worth it. I really like the way it's set up, you order and pay up front and the cashier designates a numbered table for you and your party. The customer service is also awesome here, everyone is very friendly! Scrambles definitely is more of a relaxed atmosphere. As for the food, it is delicious. We tried the loco moco and the ube pancakes. The loco moco was good, but the ube pancakes are a must! They are literally the most perfect pancakes I have ever had. I've been wanting to try this place for months. Because I work nearby and was early to work, I decided to come try this place early before it got packed. Got the carne asada omelet. The presentation was on point. The carne asada though was kind of sweet. That threw me off as I was use to carne asada from Mexican restaurants. Noticed this spot pop up on my Instagram feed a couple times and have been wanting to try it. I was in the Ontario Mills area so this was the perfect lunch spot! Ordered the loco moco which was amazing! The rice, eggs, and the burger patty was really good and seasoned well. The highlight though was the gravy which was delicious! This is a new to me spot as I haven't been exploring the Ontario- Rancho Cucamonga area. I met my cousin for breakfast and we checked this place out Thanksgiving weekend. They do not have reservations, and it's just good old fashion order at the counter and then they seat you at a table. We went on a Sunday and of course the place was busy. From the moment we got there until way after we left the line stayed incredibly long. Lucky for us people do dine relatively quickly and so tables were constantly being freed up. This is a cute mom and pop Hawaiian breakfast place with such a diverse menu. I was literally confused at what to order because everything sounded good. They had French toast, burgers, breakfast platters, burritos. They also had several ube items including an ube matche latte why co was delicious but incredibly sweet. They also had fresh juices including pineapple, orange, guava, apple, and a combination of pineapple, orange, and guava - which was delicious. My cousin got the loco moco and I got the steak chilaquiles cause I'm a sucker for chilaquiles (it was so good) the chips had great integrity and weren't soggy. I also got a side of fried rice and that was really good too. They bring you a carafe of water for your table and hand you all you utensils and cups when you are paying at the counter. They also have plenty of different hot sauces which is important. The staff was very busy, but they still were able to check in on us a few times and bring us whatever we needed. Service was really good even though it was busy. We had a really good time and the ambiance in the restaurant was really lively, cozy, and the perfect place to catch up with someone. Once seated, we were served our drinks first. The coffee was robust and bold, and our water was served in a beautiful container. We arrived during a quiet moment, but the place became bustling immediately after. Despite the sudden rush, our food came quickly, and the smells emanating from our plates were incredible! Hubby had the Island Chilaquiles with Carne Asada- 10/10. The green salsa was insane and otherworldly, and I say this cautiously as I am very picky about my green salsa. You go to a walk up counter and order your food before sitting down. There's a lot of different menu options but we landed on a traditional loco moco, the ube pancakes and the ube iced coffee. I love loco mocos and this one was a good one. I was just bummed that there was only one burger patty. For what it was worth, I was hoping for more than one patty. The ube pancakes were fire!! Nice and fluffy and tasty. The ube iced coffee was a bit disappointing. It had a bit of a sour flavor. We asked if that's how it was supposed to be and were told that their coffee is a little more bitter than others. I was looking forward to a smooth and creamy drink but this wasn't it. My friends and family kept sharing this spot on IG, so I finally decided to stop by and see what the hype was about. I went on a Saturday morning and, honestly, I expected it to be packed -- but it wasn't too bad. There was a short line, but it moved quickly. It's a pretty efficient setup, though personally, I would've preferred table service -- mainly because later I wanted to order more food but didn't feel like waiting in line again. I ordered the Loco Moco with fried rice and a side of Portuguese sausage. Everything was so flavorful -- the fried rice had a nice savory kick, the sausage was perfectly seasoned, and the beef was tender and juicy. The gravy tied it all together beautifully, and the sunny-side-up eggs were cooked just right with that perfect runny yolk. I'd absolutely order it again. If I could change one thing, I'd love to see it served in a big bowl topped with green onions or fried garlic, with maybe some soy sauce or vinegar sauces on the side to really elevate the experience. Now, the Ube Pancakes -- wow. They were fluffy, perfectly cooked, and served with coconut syrup. Just perfection. Sweet, but not overwhelming. Easily one of the best pancake dishes I've had in a while. I ended up ordering another one to go for my parents to try because it was that good. We decided to have breakfast here on a Sunday morning after seeing all the great reviews about the Norco location and were excited to try this new spot closer to home. When we arrived, the line was out the door, but there was still plenty of seating available. Hawaiian music was playing, setting a cheerful island vibe right away. Someone even came out to offer menus while we waited, which was a nice touch--it made ordering at the counter quick and easy once we got inside. The setup is well organized. When you reach the counter, they ask how many are in your party and assign you a table number. After placing and paying for your order, you head to your designated table, where they bring a water jug and cups right away. My husband and I ordered the Loco Moco with Spam and eggs over medium, substituting fried rice for an extra $2.50 (total $17.50). I asked for my gravy on the side, which they accommodated perfectly. My son had the kids' pancake meal ($7) with bacon and eggs--we requested crispy bacon, but it came out a bit soggy. However, the pancake was delicious! We also ordered a side of sourdough toast ($3). For drinks, we both went with fountain sodas--Diet Pepsi for me and regular Pepsi for my husband. Unfortunately, the soda mix was off, so he switched to fruit punch instead. Fountain drinks are $3.75. The ambiance inside is fantastic--it genuinely feels like a little slice of Hawaii right in Ontario. The music, decor, and lively energy make it a fun place to eat. My husband and I came here for breakfast for the first time. They are in the plaza on the south side of Fourth Street, where Rubio's used to be. My husband was originally going to order a veggie omelette but once he saw the menu, he changed his mind and went with the Loco Moco ($17) and added a side of spam, haha. I saw the chalkboard sign outside that they had avocado toast but ultimately went with the Portuguese sausage breakfast which came with 2 eggs and potatoes ($16). Gotta try what they're known for the first time and we can always go healthy next time, right? I really wanted to try the Ube pancake and asked if I could just get a single pancake. They said I could and it was $6.00. For our drinks, I got the P.O.G. Juice ($6) and my husband got an Aloha canned drink ($3). There are about 28 tables from what I could tell which includes an outdoor patio. After ordering, they told us which table to sit at and brought our food out . We liked the casual setting and it was nicely decorated. Everything we ate was absolutely delicious. Their sister brand is Aloha Stacks, which is so cool. I've been there before but this was my first time at Scrambler's. They were playing some old school Hawaiian jams too and made us realize we haven't been back into Hawaii in a while.
