    Pancakes
    Susan S.

3.5 I've been to Scrambler's on several occasions and can count on consistently decent food in a comfortable, clean ambiance. I was recently at the Secor Rd location with my mom for a late brunch. Our server was very friendly, nice and it was her second week on the job. From my prior experiences at the Central Rd Scramber's, I would order an omelette that came with potatoes, toast (which I always decline) and an additional side. It didn't occur to me that the Secor Rd Scrambler's franchise would be any different. I ordered my usual omelette with spinach, tomatoes and portobello mushrooms. When asked for my side, I selected the fresh fruit. I was asked for another side and ordered pancakes that I knew my mom would enjoy taking home. My mom ordered three eggs over easy with two sausage patties, pancakes and a fruit salad. While waiting for our orders to be prepared, it occurred to me that I wasn't asked about which potatoes I wanted. When our orders were served, I mentioned to our server that there weren't any potatoes. She said she would put in an order of potatoes and bring them out. There was no discussion about price. My mom enjoyed her meal and I enjoyed mine as well, except that I noticed there was far less spinach than usual. I didn't mention it to our server. The omelette was tasty; the fruit salad was fresh; and the potatoes that came later were plentiful and not greasy. For drinks, my mom ordered coffee and I ordered an Arnold Palmer (iced tea and lemonade). I finished my drink and wasn't offered a refill but also didn't ask. Since drinks these days run $3.99, usually the server would pretty promptly bring a refill without the need to ask. Since I realize our server was new, it wasn't a big deal. When the bill came, I was surprised to see the charge of approximately $43 before tip. In reviewing the bill, there was a charge of $4.99 for the potatoes that normally came as a side with an omelette. There was also an upcharge for the pancakes side. When I inquired about these unexpected charges, our server said she would discuss it with her manager. Upon returning, our server informed me that the manager agreed to take $1 off. To me, the $4.99 potatoes should have been comp'd as the usual omelette side. My mom didn't want me to make a fuss, so I just paid the bill but left feeling that it wasn't fair. Given that our server was new, I didn't blame her at all but did feel that the manager missed an opportunity to come out to speak with us and take more than $1 off the bill. While I might return to this Scrambler's due to its convenient location, I would be cognizant of the new charges for sides which would have otherwise been included in the brunch entree price. I also want other customers to be aware to ask the price of sides even if they are presented as part of the order. Food was overall good but the bill seemed overpriced and irked me.

Food was super mediocre. For the cost it is weak prepared food. The picture shows basically what that $12 breakfast is. Diced ham, onions, and bacon bits with cheap cheese. Any non chain mom and pop greasy spoon would be a better choice. You would think since they are only open for breakfast it would be amazing. It is not. To improve the owner should come in and check the food. If this is corporate standard I don't see how they exist in today's economy.

Its asking me to write a review. Thought I did already. Anyhow, happy 2025! Scramblers is a breakfast n lunch chain in Ohio. I think there's 3 or 4 here in Toledo. Some have better service than others. This is a winner This location is on one of the busiest streets in town with restaurants literally left n right. So this makes this a great spot to stop because they always seem to have seating. Friendly staff with iPads to take orders and mimosas for breakfast. Get the strawberry margarita mimosa. Yum! Breakfast entrees run $12-15 with nice size portions. I got the mini breakfast which comes with 2 pancakes eggs bacon and an additional side. All made well at this location.Still plenty to take home. Food comes timely and hot. Free meal on your bday. Like I said this place is a winner. Come n get it

Great little place for breakfast This was my first stop for eats on my drive down to NOLA for Mardi Gras, 2025. Very cute place close to the highway, so it's an easy off and on. Lots of shopping around. Parking lot with free parking. The outside was cute with a sign with a cracked egg. The inside was nice as well. This was a Wednesday morning close to 11 AM and it wasn't too crowded. I was seated right away. Hostess was very friendly. The inside is also cozy. The restaurant looked almost brand new. The paint was bright with a yellow feature wall and cute sayings on the walls. The menu had lots to offer and good gluten free choices. When a place has gluten-free bread, that is always a plus for me. They also sell alcohol; love my mimosas on vaca with breakfast. My server was Elesia. She was excellent, and service was a 20 out of 10. I asked her if the restaurant had implemented a surcharge on eggs due to the shortage, especially since so much of their menu centered around them. She said not yet, but it was one of the few places I had breakfast that didn't. This lead to a reasonably lengthy conversation about the political climate at that moment. I had felt nervous about crossing the border into the States. Even though I'm a dual citizen of Canada and the US, I still worried about dump and his administration. She was nervous too. Her main concern was her child, and she also expressed worry over war starting. I really felt for her, as I continue to worry for sane, compassionate US citizens. It was really nice to be able to talk to her and share that. But to the food! I ordered the Strawberry Margarita Mimosa...perfect kickoff to the vacation! One of the top mimosas I've ordered. I also had the Surf's Up scramble. From the menu description: Tender sustainably sourced white shrimp blended into scrambled eggs with cream cheese and dill. Served with a side of our creamy hollandaise sauce, your choice of bread and a Scramblers Side. I was able to get gluten-free toast and also ordered a side of firecracker bacon: Our premium thick-cut bacon, candied and seasoned with cajun spices and hot honey drizzle for an explosion of flavor. It was soooooo good! I love cream cheese and the scramble with that and the dill was so good and really unique. Loved having the hollandaise sauce on the side for the toast and to put on the eggs. It was a tad mustardy, but that is a preference thing. Still very good! For everything I ordered, the price was very fair. If you want a great breakfast, this is a perfect place to go, and like I mentioned before, the service is on point. Nice, clean bathroom too. I will definitely be stopping in to eat next year...if I chance the US border. We'll see. But if you are in Toledo and are in need of a filling, delicious breakfast, stop in at Scramblers. Was just on the web site and saw they have a Marie Club and you get a free meal when you sign up. Also took a look at the apparel, stinkin' cute!

I ordered the Ultimate omelette. Side of tomatoes. The omelette was huge , Fresh ingredients for sure. Great flavors. One of the best I have had. Service was quick. Service was great. Only issue I see, Pepsi no Coke .

    Crab Cake Benny

I actually used to like this place a lot. I always get the crab cake bennys. But today the food was unacceptable. First off, the food came burnt and the cook tried to hide it by flipping out sausage patties, cover the burnt crab cake with eggs and lots of the Benedict sauce. I asked the really kind waitress if our food could be remade and we could hear banging coming from the kitchen when she took it back. The food we got back was even worse but we didn't ask for it remade because we didn't want the waitress to get yelled at. First off, my eggs were undercooked. There was clear raw egg whites that I separated from the plate. My boyfriend had undercooked hashed browns, that were previously burned before we asked for them to be remade. Overall, this cook's food was completely unacceptable. We tried to be nice but making undercooked food for your customers is disgusting. The only good part about this experience was the waitress. She was so sweet!

    Full order of banana pancakes

Went here after reviewing my options for somewhere serving breakfast in the afternoon on a Saturday. I believe they serve their full menu until closing at 3pm (as indicated on their website). I plugged the address into my GPS and drove from Bowling Green. It was a little hard to find, as my GPS was slightly off and the turn-in is a little confusing. There is, however, a pretty big sign you can see from the road, so I finally found it. They have a private lot, which makes it pretty easy to park, although the lot was pretty packed. There was no wait when I arrived (around 11am)...although it was very crowded in there. I ordered the banana pancakes, and got a full order (3 pancakes). The pancakes had granola INSIDE them, which I have not seen before, but it was very good. Added a dimension of texture. I also got blueberries in my pancakes (.99 extra). The banana favor was perfect and tasted very fresh. They brought out a pitcher of water and coffee... I liked the "fill yourself" option. BEWARE: Only order the full order if you are a really big eater. I can eat a decent amount, and I was only able to eat about half of my pancakes. I felt bad wasting the food, but was headed to the airport and couldn't bring it with me. My waitress was very nice. I gave her a bit extra for the tip, which I don't normally do on my budget. The bill was around $11 for pancakes, coffee, and the extra blueberries. Would definitely return here for breakfast options!

    Uncle Moose's Manhandler......$8.50
    Alisa C.

Came here with a friend for Sunday Brunch and I'm so glad we did! It was PACKED!! But the wait for a table of 2 was just a few minutes and our waitress was so nice! Their signature dish seems to be these egg skillets that come with a bread option (I got the biscuit and it was so good!). The Uncle Moose's Manhandler ($8.50) sounded delicious! It's served in an iron skillet of delicious potato , bacon, ham, and sausage bits; and all of this is topped with gooey cheddar cheese. YUMMY! And finally the cherry on top for this dish are 2 basted eggs (basically, they are lightly fried eggs that are just a bit gooey inside). So tasty! And I bet this meal would be great after a hangover as well too..... Pros: - delicious food with plenty to eat - cute place that was jammed packed with people, so you know that this place is well-loved by the Toledo community - I want that skillet again! Cons: - I can see how it would be difficult to bring large groups here. Lots of seating for 2-4 people, but any more than that then I would call to see if you could reserve a table! Why I gave it a 4..... Great brunch option if you're in the area! It's well hidden in a strip mall and you only know it's there because of all the cars parked in front and by their cracked egg sign too. I will definitely come back here to try of the other skillet options that they have but Uncle Moose's Manhandler was delicious!

The back of their menu tells you all you need to know. You just won't find this kind of attention to detail everywhere.

They used some very fresh avocados, it seems they used the whole avocado cause we surely weren't lacking. The biscuits and gravy were extremely good. There is something for everyone and all of it tastes great. I will say the chickichanga I had was a bit spicy but still really good. Also, you have to try the different drinks they have! I got the kale tonic and caramel crunch coffee, both AMAZING! Although if you're lactose intolerant I'd ask for dairy free milk and if you're not into sweet stuff this is probably not for you. I was a little disappointed in the waitress. She was super kind and personable but I felt like she didn't ask enough questions, like when I asked for the coffee she never asked what milk I wanted (I should've clarified but still). I also felt like she didn't show herself enough. It wasn't terribly busy so I felt she could've done better. Otherwise, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

This truly a wonderful experience for all ages and varying tastes. A tremendous and welcome change we've come to endure from other dining experiences. Here the customer is THE primary focus from the moment you walk in til you walk out the door - BRAVO!! The food, had the Mayberry Mega where you pick your 6 omelette ingredients. Normally a crap shoot in most diners but here it was a home run. The ham and sausage were nice size chunks, juicy, and full of flavor. Spinach, onions, and tomatoes were fresh and perfect sizes and good quantities for the dish. That leaves the cheese my one "ding" would have preferred shredded cheese vs sliced cheese because of flavor and texture - but it didn't take away from a wonderfully prepared omelette made and severed with genuine care. Potatoes were frozen BUT they were prepared exceptionally well for dinner dare they were soft and cooked with a nice crisp. It was a superb surprise and a very welcome one. The coffee was fresh and hot and the standard "acidic" coffees you'd find in most diners anywhere, but overall inviting enough to have a few cups for a discerning coffee "snob" like me. Place was PACKED so all tables and booth were full, but they have a nice counter service with plenty of seating and space to move and eat and be very comfortable for your meal. What's fascinating is the incredible teamwork and collective desire to ensure your time, experience, and meal are spent enjoying your company and food not staring at your watch wondering about time. The entire restaurant was seated, served, and cleared with clean tables within the time I had to get and consume my own breakfast. So if you see a packed house on your arrival and don't desire that counter seat fear not - in this home environment your wait will be short and your day will lose no valuable time - well worth some minimal patience - you'll be glad you did. Your greeted as soon as you walk in by one or more of the extremely hardworking waitresses with a smile - your also sent off with a "Thank you. have a Good Day" by one more waitresses as you leave - both excellent touch of service class enhancing customer experience. I've never seen a more well-run diner or any restaurant from the waitresses to the cooks to the dishwashers the teamwork, attention to details, customer satisfaction, and to the incredible cleanliness of the restaurant despite the constant flow of customers - I've never seen a restaurant so clean and kept so clean the out the day. When we got seated, the first thing we ordered and got started on were the AMAZING pies (chocolate PB for me and custard for my husband). Oh my God, they were out of the world yummy! We got to watch the ladies on the grill as they made the food. My husband ordered he Swiss steak and I had the double hamburger with all the fixings. The food is great but so are the people who work here --they are just so friendly, have worked here for years and truly care. You don't see this anymore. If I lived here, I would come here once a week to chitchat with them and eat PIE!! Make sure you come here. This place is a gem and has been here since 1948.
