We rented a boat with SD Adventures for a pretty special mission - we needed to go undercover to secretly photograph our friends' proposal, and SD Adventures absolutely crushed it when it came to helping us nail the details! Davin, the general manager, was truly next-level amazing. From the very beginning, he went above and beyond to help us plan and perfectly time the proposal. He was incredibly communicative, thoughtful, and genuinely invested in making sure everything went smoothly. You could tell he actually cared about the moment, not just the rental. From the moment we arrived, the experience was exceptional. At the check-in booth, Wyatt gave us the warmest welcome and made us feel like we were the top priority, even though he was juggling at least five other parties in line trying to rent for the day. He was genuinely stoked for us to be there, which instantly set the tone for an amazing experience. When we got to the dock, Davin was exactly how he was over the phone, and gave us clear, easy-to-understand instructions, he checked in to make sure we were comfortable, and made the entire experience completely stress-free from start to finish. I had surprised my husband for his birthday and we had SO much fun. We had one jet ski for 75 min and it was the perfect amount of time and we had a reservation at 1030 on a Sunday. I think it was a great time because it wasn't too hot and not too crowded on the water. It was a bit scary at first as it was our first time doing this but the video they show you is very informative and I like the fact that they make sure to reiterate their rules and ask you questions about the video to ensure you fully understand all safety precautions and rules so that everyone is kept safe. They don't ask for a deposit but do ask you to leave a credit card with them while you are out having fun. Staff were very nice and helpful. It is located behind the Sheraton hotel so you park in the hotel parking lot and go through the lobby and straight toward the marina. There's also instructions on how to get through there once you've made your booking. You have to get a ticket to park in the parking lot that says it's $50 for parking but after you're done, you hand your ticket to the valet and they made it free for us. I definitely recommend coming here and will definitely will be coming back again. We had an amazing time. I couldn't stop laughing and having fun. read more

We had a reservation for a 75-minute jet ski ride at 1:30 PM and arrived on time, as instructed. Even though there were a few people ahead of us, we were patient and respectful. After checking in and completing paperwork, we finally made it down to the dock and sat on the jet skis. At that point, one of the staff members said we had to wait for other jet skis to come back before we could go out despite the fact that our reservation time had already started. We politely mentioned that if we waited any longer, we wouldn't get our full ride time. That's when we were told we now had to return by 2:45 PM, which gave us only 35 minutes on the water, even though we paid for 75 minutes. The actual jet skiing was fun, but the lack of organization, miscommunication, and disregard for our reserved time completely ruined the experience. We left feeling frustrated I wouldn't recommend this place unless they seriously improve how they manage bookings and respect their customers' time. read more

I'm a local from San Diego and I've used this JetSki company twice. It's the best area to JetSki because the space is so open. You get to drive around Coronado underneath the bridge and see the beautiful view of downtown San Diego, and you can go as fast as you can pass the marina. The booking process online is seamless, and the payment process is easy. They only take credit cards, but will take a debit card if you have $200 or more in your bank account. I recommend arriving at least 20 minutes early to find parking. They have a room where you can lock up your belongings, and lots of JetSkis. Recording your JetSki before you take off is a good idea, just in case. read more

friendly but service is horrible there's not enough workers to help you so we wasted about 30 min since one person had to go to each person with instruction individually (I've never been to one that did that) which I think is ridiculous, we also tried calling to get help with the location since there were so many close by and no one could provide us with directions on where to go or park. The only reason I will give 4 stars is because we bought Groupons and the website was not accepting the codes. I called several times, left 2 messages that were never returned. After keep trying several different times I was able to get a hold of a lady who said they are having issues with Groupon so I needed to make a reservation and pay a deposit. Don't get me wrong the guys are great and we've had a blast but I do think customers need to get a hold of the business sometimes and it is important that they answer the phone. My boyfriend and I came to SD Adventures to enjoy a fun afternoon riding jet skis, but instead left in tears of frustration, fear and $1,200 poorer. The workers did not inspect the jet ski in between us and the people before us. We could not get the ski to go above 7-8 mph without it becoming completely unstable. I could not get back on the ski after it started to flip because of the instability. I was in the water for 30 minutes, shaking, crying and having a panic attack from fear. My boyfriend called for help and they said they would be out in 3 minutes. It took them 15-20 to actually come help. They then charged us $1,000 because they said it was our fault that the ski flipped even though it was taking on water before it flipped and was unbalanced at rest. We followed their protocol based on the video prior to skiing. I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone. read more

We were told to go there 30 minutes prior while we did show up at 4:08 (our appointment was at 4:30) we should have only gotten 8 minutes taken from our 75 minutes but instead had about 30 minutes taken out of our time. To make the situation worse there is a 4mph zone that takes about 10-15 minutes and you go through that time twice to go into the ocean and to come back so you also lose about 25 minutes from that. On top of that we purchased 8 jetskis having a total of 1,xxx$ which i find that very unfortunate especially of the condition of the jet skis most of them had missing side mirrors tapped up very unsafe. I definitely do not recommend this place there's a place called luxury rental in corando that has no 4mph and 90$ for an hour way better and cheaper plus more time. read more

Fun day renting a Jet Ski and heading out into the bay and they made it all very easy.

My son and his girlfriend rented a 2 person jet ski. They arrived early due to having a flight out. My son has Ben on jet skis several times, including having a second passenger. He has even went out on this company's jet skis on a different visit to San Diego. After completing the training, his girlfriend and him went to the loading dock to wait for the jet skis to return. The staff completed an "inspection" by walking around the jet ski with his camera. They were not able to get out of the no wake zone before having issues. As soon as he was able to try to get up some speed, it got worse. The jet ski kept trying to flip. My son had to try everything I'm his power to keep it afloat. The phone they had with them has Life 360 and is proof of the time and pat taken. The jet ski almost totally rolled. This dumped his girlfriend into the 64 degree water. Where she spent about 30 minutes. The Navy came over, but was not "allowed" to let her board. The company was about 20 minutes away. They charged them to tow the jet ski back to the dock. The jet ski was not in safe working condition. His girlfriend was having anxiety and freezing in the cold water and they charged them. No apology no refund, but charged them $1,000 more. I would Not recommend this place. In Georgia they have staff monitoring the customer's safety. Not here. read more

I'm honestly in shock over the customer service I received. I have never written a bad review and I do not think the customer is always right. I understand businesses have rules and policies in place and they can't just throw them out the window for every customer. But when you have a policy written on your website, I think it's fair to expect it to be followed it. Yesterday I talked to the manager and he said I could move my reservation out a few days. We were moving it so we could accommodate more people and essentially bring them more business. When I tried calling back to move the reservation, I was told they wouldn't move it and they were going to charge me that moment. I tried to explain our situation and pointed out that on the website it says we can make changes as long as there's availability for the date we'd like to move it to (which there was). The employee was extremely rude, cut me off repeatedly and then hung up on me. They also went so far as to charge me twice and now they won't pick up the phone, won't call me back and won't respond to emails either. I hope I can prevent someone else from having a similar experience. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. read more
