Came in to purchase a new mailbox a few weeks back. Went into this store thinking that I knew…read morewhere they were and I was wrong. I ventured about for a bit, looking at the aisle signs to try and direct myself. After a few minutes I gave up and asked someone that was working in the blinds section. And in typical fashion what I was looking for was right behind me and an aisle after I gave up. I got to looking at the displays and decided on the one I wanted. Took it to the front and paid. I didn't think much of it until I got home that day and pulled it out of my vehicle. I should have paid closer attention when I was purchasing it. The way the box was taped shut could have been a clue as to why it hadn't been purchased before I picked it up. Once I noticed the taping of the box, I investigated. Upon opening up the box I received a damaged product. Either it was damaged at the store or someone returned it as damaged and they ended up putting it back out on the floor rather than claiming it out. So that meant that I had to make a return myself on a damaged mailbox. That will be covered in another review for a different location.

This is a great place to shop. They carry so many things. The sale prices are beyond amazing…read more Lowe's might sell a little cheaper but you're dealing with a big conglomerate who doesn't care about you compared to a neighbor owned store where employees will help find everything and you know you're supporting a local business. No self checkout to deal with. All of that matters to me.

The owner and staff members are friendly and helpful. They put on a great Christmas event for kids, bringing Santa in and letting the kids talk with him and get a photo. We love that this store is right down the road and we like to support locally owned businesses like Stanford.
