From the moment we entered, my husband felt racially profiled by the security guard at the entrance. As we made our way to the sports pants section, we noticed that we were being closely followed by the same guard. This unsettling experience continued as we moved to the changing room, where the staff were not only unhelpful but also quite rude. It seemed as though the store staff were communicating about us, which only added to our discomfort. After trying on the pants, our experience took another negative turn at checkout. A staff member randomly tapped my husband on the shoulder and insisted that we pay using a mobile cash register, claiming it was due to the store being busy. However, it was clear that the store was not busy at all. It is disheartening to witness such behavior in 2026, especially in a vibrant city like Madrid. I hope management takes this feedback seriously, as no customer should have to endure such treatment. It's a reminder that we still have work to do in addressing racism and ensuring a welcoming environment for everyone.

Everytime I go back there's more deals to be had. When I was unfortunately in an accident, I took the bike in to be looked over, and the maintenance repairs cost be 11 euros (including re-taping my handlebars). This Corte Inglés was recently renovated and expanded to have a fantastic "gastronomic zone" that has multiple areas dedicated to different areas of Spanish gastronomy (bakery, seafood, wines, etc.) bu also has mini-restaurants offering a variety of speciality dishes (i.e. Imanol Vasque pinxos franchise) with sit-down areas. This is a place to experience and enjoy. The rest of the Corte Inglés are literally floors and layers of high-end boutiques and dedicated areas for clothing, bags, shoes, etc. From international luxury brands like Gucci, Prada, Etro, but also Spanish brands like Purificación García, Emilio Tucci, etc.

They display that while bouncing a golf ball on the insert while it lays on the bench. I let them sell me a pair and now find them painful and they're so big they distort the shoe a little. I'm to be blamed as my spanish is not the best but still, I felt like they pushed the inserts a tad too much. Rest of the store has lots of things from shoes to a lot of runner gear.
