A party of four of us shared mixed vegetables in satay sauce, black bean sauce, chips and rice. All the food was beautiful, with the satay sauce especially flavoursome and spicy. I got my usual king prawn salted chilli with boiled rice and my wife opted for chicken sweet & sour. The prawn dish was excellent. It was a decent portion and it was well flavour balanced between spice & salt. It did not have the acrid burn from those places on Monaghan Street who use dried chilli from jars and unlike these places there was actual fresh red chilli in the dish. It's hard to believe that many Chinese takeaways in town don't add fresh chilli to spicy dishes but have the cheek to charge top prices. The boiled rice too was perfectly cooked. I did not really like their sweet and sour sauce though as it was like a light vinegary gel really so it needs work. I only noticed as I was leaving that they offered dishes line salt & chilli pork chop available in another Chinese Restaurant just down the street so they must have common ownership.

It was quiet when we went because it was early on a weeknight, so there weren't loads of people there, but the place is nicely decorated, with some very large tables for big groups and also catering for smaller groups or pairs too. The menu is very extensive (too big in my opinion) but the food was lovely, with very large portions and complimentary prawn crackers. The food arrived quickly and was satisfying, and they were very obliging about our usual 'awkward vegetarian' (her own words!) and brought her what she asked for - weird though it was. The prices are all high end at just over £7 for a main chicken dish if fried rice is chosen, and the food will need to stay very good as Chinese takeaway meal prices have risen unjustifiably in the last few years. The portions were generous and all the food was very tasty indeed. We spent just over £50 and got a portion of prawn crackers free with the order. As we waited for our food to be cooked in the open kitchen in front of us we thought just how very difficult it must be to find yourself newly opened in this trade with so many businesses all around you closing and instant mass unemployment through the fear of a killer virus that is sweeping the planet. It's only March 2020 and all schools here are now closed to September. We are in a crisis with mass unemployment, the prospect of the nationalisation of swathes of industry and a right wing set of political nutcases who have systematically starved our health service of resources and it will not as it cannot cope with what it's about to face. We were the only customers there. The phone didn't ring once for take out orders either. I hope they survive. I hope we survive and I hope that sense will start to prevail post this grave crisis and our people will stop voting for right wing nutcases as they'll be the death of us all.

From the outside it looks nothing spectacular, in fact it fits in well with the other run down shop fronts on Dundalks main street, but the food is first class. There is a sister restaurant called the Adelphi Jade and I hear its good to but I have only tried the Jade Garden on Park Street. Tasty, plentiful and service which is hard to beat i gotta give this place 5 stars, anyone who I meet who has been here also thinks it is the best Chinese for miles around. Parking can be difficult at busy times but its worth it! Even for a carry out meal I cant say a bad word about the food. You will not be disappointed!

Oh dear.Oh dear oh dear oh dear…read more This is a rank Chinese of epic proportion. I have only ate from here once and it was a terrible experience, and not a great night. Long story short, on my way to collect food here for my girlfriend and I after her night out I had to run down a cat that was in the middle of the road as I couldn't swerve due to oncoming traffic and I couldn't brake as there was someone coming straight up behind me, leaving me feeling rather guilty! I tried to put the terrible image of a cat trying to crawl injured across the road from my rear view to eat the chicken chow mein I got from her. My meal should have came with a yellow sticker as it was surely made of chicken and was a choking hazard for all, never mind those not three! My girlfriend half and half was not much better, with over boiled rice and stodgy, hard gravy chips. Avoid people!
