We came in and purchased fudge for a little treat after lunch one day on vacation. The store was so cute and clean but we stayed on track with getting our treats and heading back to meet the rest of the family where we enjoyed a little tasting of six kinds of fudge! Chocolate Cheesecake: a lot less sweet than most - big win in my opinion Birthday Cake: the kids loved it but the sweetness level was too much for the adults. Flavor was on point though! Cookies & Cream: huge hit with the family! Exactly what you would expect of it. Butterfinger: should've asked for extra, this went QUICK. Snickers: seemed like classic chocolate fudge with peanuts and caramel on top. This was one of my favorites because it was simple and delicious. Peanut Butter: you can never go wrong with the classics. This was made perfectly! The fudge was excellent and great quality. I don't recall the name of the person I spoke with but she seemed to be the owner and quite invested in this work. She made excellent suggestions and her sweets were made perfectly. read more

Great business! small store, and has homemade fudge and ice cream. My family and I came in here on 6/7/2022. We were looking for souvineers as well as street signs with names on it. didn't find those, but did find a lisence plate! purchased that, as well as an ornament, a magnet, and a bottle opener! For ice cream, They had hersheys ice cream, and i ordered a cotton candy in a cup, my dad ordered chocolate in a cone, and my mom ordered banana crunch in a cone. we all enjoyed our ice cream. If you ever travel down to Waves or Salvo in the Outer Banks and and have a sweet tooth, I'd recommend you check this place out. Ocean Gourmet makes all their fudge as well as cooks all their own baked goods. She has cookies, muffins and cinnamon rolls. This can change daily. Dipped ice cream. Connie is very polite and I have seen her keep her composure on a busy Labor Day weekend while working alone with no help. The store was full and kids were screaming. One customer left their credit card in the store. She handled it all with calm. She ran out the door and caught the customer, returned their card and helped the next customer without missing a beat. She has an excellent selection of souvenirs and gifts. Definitely worth a visit. read more

My wife and I stayed on the Outer Banks this past Memorial Day and had the chance to visit this store. It has a small town welcome as soon as you walk into the door. The two sweet women that manage the store were so friendly and helpful. We bought a picture and two cups of their delicious ice cream. It was mid day so everyone was at the beach, therefore we were able to stand at the ice cream counter and talk with them. They were so nice. Forget the huge chain store and shop here, they managed to pack a sea chest full of hidden treasures inside their store. One of the best ice cream spots on the NC-12, the chocolate moose tracks and chocolate chip cookie dough are some of my new favorites. The two people working at the time, Sara and Tina are extremely friendly and provide great customer service despite working alone against a long line of people. I would recommend that every one stop here at least once and give it a try. There is more than just ice cream so there is something for everyone. read more
