The game doesn't hurt much, but definitely did walk away with some bruises on my shins. It was a great workout and definitely was of the more unique fitness experiences I've had. The 700 foot line is awesome. In between there is a high-ropes "intermission" when you can choose between some "broken bridges" or a net obstacle and tightripe. After that my group did a Tree Climb which is a physically demanding challenge to get up very high trees, swing from ropes, etc. Unlike the zipline which is just fun adrenaline, the tree climb requires some real exertion and I would not recommend it for those who are afraid of heights or who are not physically active on a regular basis. The guides for the adventure were all great. They were encouraging, made us feel safe, and made an effort to learn our names. It was a great experience all around and I would recommend this as an activity for anyone.

So first we did the ziplining and it was great - we zipped through about 6 lines of varying lengths and a couple of them had obstacles like a broken bridge or a tight-rope walk. Then we did the treeclimb. One entailed swinging from tree to tree until you got to the top, and the other one was to climb a very old, very large tree. The third thing we did was the scavenger hunt, which was great because we traveled through the entire premises to get clues to each station to accrue points and ultimately defeat our adversaries. lol The service and friendliness of the staff was top notch. They made us feel pretty comfortable and were having a good time along with us as well as guiding us through a fun, safe experience. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking for adventure and a good time with a group of friends.

They're either pink for practice or yellow for games. And they aren't made of rubber, they are plastic polymer whose chief characteristic is that it doesn't bounce very high. If you drop it from over your head, it will barely bounce to knee level. Learning (and remembering that fact about low bounces) is just one of the many things you'll need to master if you want to take up the sport. Pickleball was launched in the mid-1960s and is played on a smallish court with a modified tennis net, using a paddle and those perforated polymer balls. I'd best describe the game as the love child of tennis, ping pong and badminton. When you hit the ball, it sounds more like a thud than a ping! Similar to tennis, your goal is to hit the ball over the net and into your opponent's side while adhering to a myriad of rules about serving and counting bounces and staying away from a zone in front of the net that reminded me of the goalie's cease in hockey. Dill Dinkers has 20 locations across ten states. There is just one Connecticut location. Yesterday, we took our very first pickleball lesson at Dill Dinkers in Simsbury, in a space previously occupied by Borders Books. We joined a beginner's class with about 20 rookies and interacted with three exceptional and very patient coaches who gave us lesson time, practice drills and embryonic game play with instant feedback on performance and the rules (which I consistently violated). For the third year in a row, Pickleball is the country's fastest growing sport, and their courts are taking over empty shopping mall space across the country. After one lesson, I am looking forward to charting my "progress" over the next three weeks. I'm not very optimistic about that!

The courts have a great aesthetic and have really good quality surfaces. My favorite part is how much space there is between the baselines and the fences. Not once did I have to worry about hitting the barriers, and that allowed me to play much more freely. We encountered a technical difficulty during a tournament that caused us to play an opponent out of order, slightly messing things up which was a little frustrating in the moment. But the tournament organizer did a great job resolving it, and went above and beyond to offer some compensation in the form of free court time and some waived fees which is a huge testament to their customer service. I really appreciated that gesture. Will definitely be back here!

Your task is basically to find strings of numbers and letters, to open the dozens of combination locks around the room. It does feel a it repetitive, and contrived. Upon arrival, we all checked in watched a video to give us the premise of the game. I loved all the puzzles in the game! I want to same more but don't want to give anything away. "You Hit the Wrong Note Billy Goat" (Bill Haley and the…read moreComets) Bradley Mountain Farm was more fun than a Barrel full of ............Goats! We signed up for a 1:00 "Barnard Buddies" session. For ten bucks, we reserved our own bench at the fence that pens in their goats, were given a bag of goat food (compressed hay pellets), and enjoyed a half hour of Goat Wackiness. The fun began when the other 1:00 groups were escorted to our benches by our Guide. We immediately saw the goat herd march to the fence and follow us as to our benches. Obviously, they been through this a zillion times and knew there was chow on the way. I asked out guide if the goats can eat all day and was told yes--of course because goats have 4 stomachs. Another odd feature of the goat's anatomy is their eyes -they have bizarrely rectangular pupils. Apparently, their vulnerability to predators caused their eyes to evolve. They have a broad line of sight, and those rectangular-shaped pupils lets them better see danger approaching. We were instructed to hold the food pellets in our outstretched hand and let the goats "kiss" it out of our hands. It was so interesting to see hoe different goats had personalities -some were super mellow, while others were super aggressive and literally shoved their goat brothers and sisters out of the way to be fed. We did see a few males really go at each other with violent head butts, but our guide said that was normal. Go and take your kiddies and maybe you can take the goats for a walk on a leash or buy some "cuddle time" or Goat Yoga or Dress the Baby Goats in pajamas. I kid you not. They have a lot of activity options.
