I contacted Randy of RCA Building and Remodeling via text…read more Randy called me within 5 minutes, I explained my dilemma with a substandard review of my property by my homeowners' insurance association. I needed railings built and installed on my front steps, both front and rear deck steps as well as railing around the entire deck to bring my property up to proper codes and standing. Randy emailed me a proposal, that I immediately accepted (after having gotten no responses/outlandish responses from other builders). Randy and his business partner Crystal showed up on Friday, began the ominous task of building out the railings (some wood needed replacing) as well as replace rotted planks, then sanded and sealed the entire deck. Randy and Crystal demonstrated extraordinary craftsmanship, and incredible attention to detail. And the level of their sheer endurance that once they started the work, it was virtually non-stop for 2 and 1/2 days until work was completed! Randy and Crystal far exceeded my expectations, that I can now stand back and admire with great pride of a job well done, and how it's elevated the look/presence of my cottage. Rich

On or about September 13, 2022, we entered into agreement for installation of a Washing Machine and…read moreDryer Hookup and adding a new shower to an upstairs bathroom remodeling in the amount of $30,720.00, the following This was project was told to me that it would take about 30 days to complete. What it turn into was a 5-month horror story. The contractor damaged my downstairs bathroom ceiling with the work they did on the second-floor bathroom plumbing. They never completed any work on a Washing Machine and Dryer Hookup. They installed the pocket door frames incorrectly by putting a 2x4 on the floor, making a 24" interior pocket space for 32" door and installing the slats backwards. They disconnected the electrical light to upstairs bathrooms and never completed the electrical portion on the proposal. They installed an interior wall on top of the new tile without proper support for the structure and installed rough interior walls on top of existing electrical outlets. They never completed the plumbing in the shower or installed the sink plumbing in a correct location. That made using the existing sink impossible to reinstall since the door would not be able to open and the storage would be unusable. They installed the toilet plumbing in a wrong location. And when we confronted Randy about the issues and time frame delays, the only thing he want us to do was give him more money to complete the project even though we had already paid 75% of the budget. In the end we had to hire another contractor to rip out the rough work and fix the leaky plumbing and fix all the issues he created by RCA in my unit. I am currently in process of taking legal actions against Randy Scott, Crystal Avrin and their business RCA Building and Remodeling.
