Red Thai Curry with Crispy Duck

One of my three favorite restaurants at Munich Airport. Prompt and polite service, combined with a diverse menu, delivering a quality meal with a light, citrus punch. Tonight, I had the Tom Kha Gung Soup and the Thai Red Curry with Crispy Duck. Excellent.

Food is really yummy but beware, they don't accept any foreign debit or credit card. Quite embarrassing for an airport food stall

The restaurant is tucked away upstairs, above the check-in counters in Terminal 2. It's nice and quiet, calm up there -- an escape from the hustle and bustle downstairs. Service is always quick and efficient, prices are reasonable for airport dining. But, let's talk about the main reason to arrive early enough to grab a bite to eat here... The sushi! They have many inventive, flavorful rolls and the fish is always fresh. My favorites include the Waikiki Maki and Spicy Tuna rolls but I've yet to have one I wouldn't recommend. I only wish they were behind security so I could linger without worrying about arriving late to my gate.

Also, we had a friend with us who lives in Freising and he eats here all the time. As you can see from the pictures they ordered just about everything on the menu. Ha! This was wayyy too much to eat for three people. Eyes were bigger than stomach syndrome but then my friend who eats here all the time did all the ordering. Everything was fresh and they enjoyed just about everything. Fish eggs were not liked but my son and even my husband who eats everything didn't really care for them. Really fishy. My son loved the prawns the best! Being a non sushi eater, I ate the chopped beef, mushrooms, onions and ginger. Came with a side of white rice. It was ok, nothing to write home about. I'd give that 3 stars. Beef was not tender, and I had to spit out some pieces that were fatty and too chewy. Just what you'd expect from a basic Asian restaurant.

Go inside to find a spot to sit (be warned: the seat is a cushioned cylindrical bar but nevertheless comfortable enough to sit) or outside (there are chairs) to people-watch at the V-markt, take a look at limited selections (at the counter/in the restaurant/at the menu), and order with the waiter. I use limited here in the highest regard as they focus on making their dishes as delectable as possible. Case in point, we had the octopus and sepia salads, and both were flavorful with good amount of meat. Even though spaghetti with seafood is more pasta than seafood, the quality of the seafood (clams, bits of lobsters, sepia, etc.) was high. With a glass of their "Blanc de Blanc," we were at peace amidst a hectic environment. Prices were fair for what we got, so that's a win-win! Sadly, the only fail was their one dessert (we wanted to stay there longer that day...). Their creme brulee was served cold and a little stale, but who cares when the fish are so fresh? I walked out of there feeling relieved that I found my seafood haven.

There is a good variety of meals at a reasonable price and in very good quality. The quantity is good, without being overly generous. It was absolutely not what I'd expected from a restaurant above a public swimming pool, it was way better!!! We had two seats at the window with a great view of the outdoor pool. The staff was really nice and the menu was not too overwhelming. They have a few daily specials, mostly meat and fish, inspired by the Greek cuisine. We picked a fish platter and the calamaris. The food arrived really fast, even though the place was packed. It was really good! Simple, no unnecessary extras. 4 sorts of fish, potatos, salad + a great lemon sauce. The calamaris came also with a potato, some veggies, and a salad. The price was great (nearly to cheap). We paid 29€ for drinks and food!!! Highly recommend this place!!!!!!!

We came here for dinner during Oktoberfest with a group of 12, and it could not have been a better experience. Pescheria set aside a large table in the back just for us and gave us top-notch service from start to finish. The staff really went above and beyond, giving great recommendations and even arranging a few special dishes from the chef just for our group. We asked if everything could be served family style so we could all share, and they delivered perfectly. Some of the highlights were the seafood risotto, the seafood sampler towers, the fresh oysters, and the fish dishes. We ordered four large fish for the table, and the star of the night was the turbot. It was prepared with a special two-step cooking process, first steamed and deboned, then fried to perfection. 10/10 The wine program was also fantastic. We went through several magnum bottles of red and white, and the staff expertly paired them with each course. Everything about the night felt relaxed, delicious, and celebratory. If you're in Munich and love seafood, especially with a group, Pescheria is a must visit. Highly recommend!
