He met us on time and conducted the entire excursion professionally. All along our 13-mile trip down the Kootenai river with Noah he guided the boat to exactly where we needed to be and pointed out the best spots to cast. Final score: Ten strikes, 6 in the boat including two white fish and four nice rainbows. Awesome! A light lunch of sandwiches made by Noah, himself, with chips, and drinks was delicious. I had a wondeful time, I got six fish, and memories that will last a lifetime.

That's exactly what I got and with a side order of 2 crab cakes. The wasabi ahi tuna poke bowl was simple and fresh, yet packed with ahi tuna and the perfect amount of rice. Poke bowls are my go-to for a protein packed meal that's healthy and leaves me feeling full. Now the crab cakes!? If you've never tried them from here and you're a crab cake lover, then do yourself a favor and order some. They were perfectly cooked with a crisp outside and stuffed with a good amount of tasty fresh crab. The 2 sauces of my choice to go with the cakes are: traditional tarter sauce and then take your lemon slice and squeeze the juice on top and mix it in and the Cajun tarter sauce--it has great flavor with a little bit of spice. My pics don't do justice--the flavor is where it's at! My roommate got his favorite Shrimp Po Boy Sandwich with fries and he was a happy camper. I will say, their fries are authentic and actually taste like real potato. We arrived at lunch hour and the ambiance was definitely busy, which is normal. Service was great and food came out fairly quick. Every employee I saw stayed busy, either helping people, cleaning, or chef'ing it up.

Drifted the east fork of the Coeur d'Alene with Justin as a guide. I have fished with Justin in the…read morepast but always in early Sept. when the Salmon were in the river. We knew the fishing mid-summer may be a bit tough with the river low and the sun shining bright. Justin picked us up in Post Falls right on time at 7 AM. His truck was clean and comfortable for the 30 drive to the Fly Shop just outside Wallas, Idaho. We planned ahead and had our license already, so we just needed to make shuttle arrangements for the truck to be at the pullout. Drift boat was clean and well outfitted for fishing. Justin supplied all the equipment and tackle for the day. We launched less than 5 minutes from the Fly shop and started fishing right away. I was in the front and caught 16-19 in. fish all day. My sister-in-law was in the back using the exact equipment and tackle caught one fish at the end of the day to save her trip. Ran into a young moose while we were anchored up and eating lunch. He entered the river and swam in our direction. we moved across river to let him by and he walked up the other side and disappeared into the woods. Unbelievable to see a moose up close in the wild. The river is closed to boats at the I95 because of construction so we had to pull out at the RV park. Justin returned us to the Airbnb at the end of the day and we said our goodbyes. I will return as soon as I can for another adventure.

We stayed this last weekend at round lake with some friends and family. We rented three sites next…read moreto each other. As soon as we arrived the people in front of us quickly got stuck because of the boulders that are placed everywhere. The people that work there sat in the golf cart and proceeded to watch them for thirty minutes. My spouse had to help with 3 others to jiggle a boulder so they can gain an inch of room. The area where they ask you to put up tents on are white rock filled area next to our fire pit and picnic table. We were asked to not use the "ground" dirt to camp but did point out many tents using this. The rules are ridiculous, no hammocks , and if you are disabled and use a cane like I do good luck maneuvering around the unnecessary costly boulders that are not an improvement but a waste of cost. Never again will I or seventeen others visit again. Enjoy your boulders.

Some places grab your soul from the moment you pull off the highway -- Kootenai Falls is exactly…read moreone of them. I rolled through here expecting a nice view, and got full-on nature theatre. The hike isn't brutal -- about half-a-mile from the road to the bridge or viewpoint, with picnic tables and restrooms at the lot. Enough challenge to feel good, not so much that it kills your afternoon. The trail that leads upstream to the main falls is short but dramatic: water rushing over rock terraces, multiple drops, including a 30-foot fall seen from the overlook. Downstream you cross that swinging bridge -- it creaks, it sways above the green Kootenai water, and it gives you a rush just standing there. Accessible but wild feeling: old railroad overpass, rocky descent sections, metal stairs, forest canopy, birds, moss -- all the good stuff. I went there in early summer; the river was high, mist in air, sun breaking through trees. The light hits the falls just right at golden hour -- reflections everywhere, water sparkle, shadows dancing. Ambience is pure Montana: no loud crowds, mostly locals, forest smells, river roar, the rustle of pine needles. Parking isn't fancy, but it's clean; restrooms are basic. Picnic area shaded, with enough space to sit, eat, soak it all in. Final take: 5 stars, no doubt. Probably one of those places I'll revisit again and again just to feel that rushing water, that bridge sway, that "whoa" moment when you turn the corner and see the falls looming. If you're in this part of Montana -- don't pass it by.

Kootenai falls and the suspension bridge are the perfect hike for everyone and I mean everyone!…read moreWhether you are not in the best of shape or you are traveling with kids or you have your dog with you, not only can you do this trail but you will thoroughly enjoy it. This is one of the best experiences I have had during my travels and I recommend it to everyone. We spent hours here enjoying the beauty of nature. The walk is gorgeous, The falls are gorgeous, the suspension bridge is fun and exciting! And when I say anyone can do this, the lady in front of was by herself with two children...she literally had a newborn baby strapped to her and was pushing a stroller for her toddler and they made it over the suspension bridge and all the way back up. The only caveat is that there are some steps which are definitely not dog friendly. They are kind of a twisted metal with spikes that is probably great for traction and melting snow, but would be very difficult on a dog's paw pads, so if you have a dog with you you will have to carry them down some stairs. However, we encountered multiple people with large dogs, so unless that's a problem for you, for some reason you can still do this hike with your large dog. Our dog is small so it was a breeze. Another thing you will see a lot of on this hike is smiling faces. This is a genuinely beautiful place where people are just really happy. I could not recommend this more highly and even if you're not super close, it is worth the drive.
