The vet tech and vet were so good with our dog, making her comfortable and unafraid. That itself was worth it as she can be pretty shy and nervous. The vet asked many questions about what we fed her including dog food, people food and treats. She gave me two sheets of information about food allergies. The main suspect she decided upon is outdoor allergens. I opted for a shot instead of pills as well as soothing antiseptic pads. She's already seemed better about not chewing or licking the tail area and tolerates the pad wiping well. Her activity level is better. The cost seemed reasonable. I would definitely recommend Honey Hill.

I used this facility a few years ago and had an amazing experience, BUT NOT THIS TIME!!! We own a…read morefarm, and my mother was a veterinarian tech so we do most of our care ourselves but need a vet for neutering and spaying. In 2019 we used them for neutering our boy and as I said it was a great experience, I'm not sure what has changed but my experience this time was horrible!! I was treated like a number, a crazy person, and like I had a disease. I get COVID regulations to a certain extent but this was ridiculous!! Even when I called to check on my boy the only answer I got was "he's fine" with an attitude, no details, no concern, it was obvious I was bothering her with my ridiculous question. When I got there my boy was FREAKING out and they had no care or concern, they made me wait to drop him off outside in the 105 (heat index) heat or I guess I could have run my car at $5 a gallon but after waiting quite some time they came out and when she took him she didn't speak to him, look at him, or even acted like she cared. Then the pick up was even more AWFUL! He was completely freaking out, thrashing around and crying, they had the cone of shame on him and told me to leave it for 10 days????????? I called another vet I used to use when I lived in Heber Springs and he said to put some Grannicks Bitter Apple on the wound and take the ridiculous collar off of him. I did that and after two hours of freaking out he calmed down, they had kept him overnight I can't believe he went through that all night, I can't believe they didn't realize, recognize, or understand that his personality wasn't compatible with the collar and try other methods. Here is an excerpt from another vets page: "Elizabethan collars, also known as cones, are plastic cones that fit around your dog's head and are intended to keep them from reaching their wounds or other parts of their body. Not everyone likes these, as they can cause discomfort to your dog and generally do not work very well, thankfully alternatives such as inflatable collars, softer cones, distractions, and covering up the wound are all available. Finding the best alternative to a collar all depends on your dog, the way that they react to the different method, and what you ultimately decide on using to keep them from licking their wound." Obviously, they didn't care about my dog or his personal needs but what did I expect after how they treated me and my personal needs. I spent $$230 to get a 9lb chihuahua neutered and micro chipped, I will NEVER use them again or suggest them to ANYONE else. And as I know they will read this and I know they will remember me (probably due to the crying they caused) just know that when dealing with people they need to treat them as parents and not customers!!!

We have nursed our puppies through parvo and came out on the other side. We have rescued a severely malnourished puppy that was immediately taken here and was given excellent care. We have had to make the tough decision to let our dog go instead of suffer after our dog was attacked by a stray. They gave it to us straight. Sure they could have taken the $700 and done surgery that wouldn't have saved him due to the extent of damage to him, but they didn't. As much as we miss him we know it was for the best. The staff gave us adequate time to say goodbye and readied our baby to make his final trip home. We were the last appointment and were given all the time we needed without feeling like an inconvenience when we went past closing time. Our little lady rescue had a litter of puppies and experienced some complications afterwards. They immediately called us and let us know exactly what was wrong and that they needed to take action in order to help her. We have been so blessed that they even called after she came home to check on her and see if we were okay and if she was doing well. The puppies go to this clinic as well. We will always be loyal to the BKVC!

Over the years I've had the dubious honor of going to a lot of different vets. A lot…read more So, when I say that Briarwood is the best animal hospital/vet clinic I've ever been to, not only is that out of a big sample size, but it's the highest praise I could give. Briarwood's folks were prompt and wonderful on the phone. They knew exactly what offerings they had, their schedule, prices, with no hesitation over the phone. They were willing to take in both of our dogs and a stray (THREE dogs) in one appointment, and that appointment was a masterclass in caring efficiency. Taking care of three dogs at once is impressive, but doing it with care and making sure each one gets the individual attention they need is unheard of. Not only did we get thorough checkups and necessary shots for everyone, but since they're a groomer too they threw in things like nail trimming (much needed for my old, slow dogs) just as part of the appointment. That alone was huge. I was particularly shocked when a little less than a week after our appointment, the vet we saw called to follow up and see how the stray was doing (he'd been malnourished and weak when we brought him in) which was above-and-beyond, and exactly the kind of thing I look for when trying to find someone to look after my furry friends. Seriously, I could not recommend Briarwood more!
