The whole experience with Sears was absolutely horrendous. It's appalling the level of incompetence and lack of empathy that they have shown during this whole process. For almost two months, they left us in a warranty limbo. Over that time frame I spoke to so many individuals that I truthfully lost count. The worst part was that I never heard two employees give me the same details. Each time I called it was a different story and the end game was wasting my time. For the record, Sears states that their technicians carry the main parts that are necessary. Lies! The technician was at my house for less than 20 minutes, he ordered the necessary part and left. Let the waiting begin. for those who aren't aware this is the supposed process for Sears, 10 businesses days to research for the part, if after 10 days they don't find it, you have to wait for 5 additional business days for your issue to be escalated. That said, after those 5 days nobody paid attention to the escalation l, you have to wait another 5 business days. For those of you counting, yes, this is absurd. After another 5 days (business days that is) Sears gives me a new excuse. This led me to decide to give up and cancel the repair and purchase a new appliance elsewhere. As if all that I described wasn't sufficient to get your blood boiling, yesterday I was contacted by the same technician that came a long time back stating that he was on his way to carry out the installation of the part that supposedly wasn't available, according to Sears. I told the technician to go to his next appointment, because I was fed up and decided to purchase a new appliance given the lack importance that Sears gave to our situation. I also asked him if he was aware that I had cancelled the service, his response, I had no idea. Key takeaways: 1. Sears processes are inefficient 2. Sears doesn't know how to properly search for parts 3. Sears doesn't communicate with their technicians 4. Take your business elsewhere Suffice to say that they didn't solve my issue in any way and I ended up going somewhere else. One of the new parts installed tech broke and kept quiet. One of the reasons for the 3rd visit is that the ice maker wasn't' working; after 3 visits it still doesn't work. Paid 110.00 and the technician diagnosed incorrectly. My stove had nothing wrong it was a gas valve from the propane tank. He was algo going to charge 340.00 for installing something that wasn't bad. read more

No tengo evaluación justificada para el servicio prestado por técnico. 1. Se concentro simplemente en el área del congelador en el panel donde se estaba hacciendo la escarcha de hielo. 2. No utilizo ningún instrumento de utilidad para verificar; el voltaje de la nevera, compresor, ect. Solo desmonto el panel del interior del congelador y comenzó a trosar el hielo que estaba en el interior. 3. Le expliqué lo que todo lo que tenía la nevera y no demostró ningún tipo de interés. Solo me notificó que tenia que sacar el hielo y dejarla dos días para ver si se arreglaba y que eso tenía un costo de $334.00 más los impuestos más por el asistir a analizar la unidad los $99.00 más los impuestos. 4. No se como es que se evalúa una unidad eléctrica (nevera) y dar con un diagnostico sin utilizar ningún instrumento o herramienta para enseres electrodomésticos. Sinceramente mi calificación, servicio y evaluación es 0 (cero). No los recomiendo, me estafaron. Por último este sistema no te permite enviar la evaluación sin estrellas ya que es obligatorio sino no se puede enviar lo fatal que fue el servicio. read more

They had me waiting 7 months for a GE refrigerator repair. They did not reimburse me in full for a refrigerator that they authorized me to rent. In the end they had to give me a credit for my damaged fridge. Terrible service, horrible customer orientation. They should change repair companies. Sears is going to disappear if they don't improve their customer service. read more

We had a simple problem--dead evaporator fan on our GE refrigerator. The part is available new for around $50 online, but I wanted to avoid delay so decided to make a repair appointment immediately following the weekend. Bottom line, after the $99 flat charge for the call, the technician offered to replace the fan with a rebuilt part which he had already brought, at a cost of $199 for the part plus labor for the 15 minute job for a total of $464--almost the price of a new refrigerator--with a 90 day warranty on the rebuilt fan. Alternative was to pay $99 for the call and then wait for a part on order, so I felt stuck and shelled out the $464. But I will certainly NEVER call these people again, and I would not recommend them to anyone unless you are absolutely desperate. read more
