With the limited shopping in Clinton, it's nice to have a good-sized Family Dollar in the area. My only complaint is the register area. It's super congested with product, so your bags have very little room. As long as you have a small or medium shopping amount, it's good. All in all, the store is worth driving 15 minutes from my house to, as it definitely beats my local Dollar General and absolutely beats a trip to Walmart for 3 things.

On a storm chasing trip, I needed some hard candy to snack on. The Evetts Drug sign drew me in and I figured Id have no problem finding so candy. I found so much more. We actually walked out of there having spent over $50 and don't feel a bit bad about it. Evetts is very unique. They have the pharmacy as you'd expect, they have some really cool display cases with some nostalgic stuff that you used to find in small town drug stores. They have some hand made type stuff from local people, they have purses, they have nick-nacks, they have a whole aisle of cooking goods. Cook books, lamps, dishes, useful household goods, shirts, and on and on. They even sell memorial flowers, and they have a gift registry! I was amazed at all the useful stuff that one could find in this awesome small-town shop. I'm pretty sure they thanked us for stopping in 3-5 times and we're so polite and nice. And let me tell you how spotless this place was! With all those display cases and nick-nacks, I didn't see one speck of dust or one item that looked out of place. Everytime I go through Cordell from now on, I will make it a point to stop in and support this wonderful small town business. The gas stations in town often have issues with their pumps, so this is a great alternative. They offer regular with ethanol and regular with no ethanol. The prices are rather high for both, but generally they are cheaper than the convenience stores in this town. The pumps are located on gravel, so go slow pulling up. The card reader sometimes takes a very long time to authorize. I usually stick my card in first, then get my car ready for fuel. That's a weird thing to say, but sometimes it can take a minute to authorize. You always get a receipt and there isn't a way to opt out of the paper copy. Being a co-op, I thought I wasn't allowed to use it. So glad I was corrected because it beats the other two convenience stores on fuel!
