The $7.50 Lunch Special Menu ...so many choices!!!
    Rick S.

The avg entree is now $20-25 in the year 2025. I ordered Char Siu Chow Mein and Fried Pork Chop entrees that amounted to about $50 after tax and tip. Back in the 1990's that would be maybe $20 and in the Y2K maybe $25-30... it's a sign of the times and general inflation. The service is friendly, the portions are good as well as the food quality. One of the South Bay Beach Cities best Cantonese Chinese restaurants

Go for the lunch specials during the week. For the price of a happy meal, you get real food (soup, tea , entree w a bowl of rice and dessert ) Great service And this is old school Cantonese restaurant! Super awesome and usually filled with little old Chinese ladies chatting away. Love it

Had the following dishes. The best were the green beans and chow fun. We had it cooked without meat but still tasted great. Overall the gif tasted better there. Everyone liked the hot and sour soup and the dessert. Service and food came out quick. We had a lot of leftover food which they packed up for us. Sadly, they forgot the white rice though. If it were closer, might try again. 1. Eggplant 2. Pan fried green beans 3. Fried pork chop 4. Peking pork chop 5. Deep fried shrimp 6. Beef chow fun with egg added 7. Steamed fish

One of the remaining Chinese Food restaurants where you take your family for lunch or dinner... I almost forgot the place, but I been coming here for the last 25 years and time comes and goes and I'm always back. Actually my son got me here then when he was in high school at South High... i came for lunch today and have my regular sweet and sower soup and my usual Filet of wish with Black Bean Sauce, I can try many other delicious plates, but I come here for that always.. clean Chinese service... the dinner room always well lighted. The carpet clean . I like it you should try it once...

    20. Pork Chop with Peking Sauce Lunch Special

Back at it again with the lunch special!! We just wanted some casual good Chinese food. We sat down very quickly as it wasn't super crowded on a weekday. They handed us the lunch special menu and the regular menu. I felt like the lunch menu was so expansive with many options and reasonable prices that I didn't even feel the need to look at the regular menu. What we got: - hot and sour soup (they also had egg flower soup) - white rice and fried rice - roast duck - walnut shrimp (with Mayo sauce on the side) - fish fillet with corn sauce - dessert: red bean soup They also gave us some tea. I was really hungry and the food came out pretty quickly and hot. I felt like the waiters were very attentive to us - making sure we had our sauces, noting what soups, rice, and desserts we wanted without missing a beat! My favorites were the fish fillet and the walnut shrimp while my partner's favorite was the roast duck. Honestly with such a large menu, you really can't go wrong. Everything tastes pretty yummy. They have plenty of smaller tables as well as large table for groups.

The place is mediocre, they have fresh seafood but the actual seafood does not taste as good. The service is average. Finally, it is mainly quiet. What I recommend is their Peking duck, which is great!

literally just picked up my order. bug in pork fried rice.
    Jose L.

wasnt aware that the pork fried rice included a complimentary bug. sadly i didnt see it until i was going to serve my toddler some. absolutely disgusting. edit:i brought it back in and they acted like it was a normal occurrence, then one of the waiters tried saying i put it in there myself. like why would i ruin my family's lunch. they did replace it at the end though.

Nice place to enjoy Chinese food with family members and loved ones. Have been here a few times and so far so good. My only suggestion is ensure not to dine close to their closing time. Otherwise, you maybe short-changed in services and "rushed" in dish delivery, which is susceptible to compromising quality.

This is our local go to spot for chinese food. We've been coming here for over 20years which shows how longstanding this place is. The food quality has improved over time with better cooks. The waitresses have become friends who recognize and greet us happily. This place is one of the few places in the area with good chinese food. We like getting the chilled chicken, spinach, string beans, the tofu seafood pork pot, steamed white fish. We always have a great time and the food doesnt take too long to come out. The restaurant has been a hot spot too theres always a number of parties in cue for a table at night especially on weekends. The parking lot has a decent amount of spots. It's on a hill so be careful if you have a low car because it has a steep dip on one of the entrances. If you have a large party and trying to come during a holiday, I recommend calling ahead of time and make a reservation or you could be stuck waiting for some time.

Seashore has been the Go To Chinese restaurant in the South Bay for decades. Even though the ownerships have changed, the décor has faded, and the fresh fish tank is semi empty, somehow the food taste has remain the same. The servers are professional and dishes are prepared and served pretty fast. Our favorite dishes are the pork spare ribs, seafood fried noodle and seafood tofu. Their lunch special is still worth our monthly visit, plus nothing can go wrong with its complementary spicy & sour/ egg soups and the red bean/almond jelly dessert.

Glazed Honey Walnuts shrimp was very good

Cons: The Hong Kong Style Crispy noodles and Fish with Black Bean Sauce were a 2 out of 5: The flavors weren't really there, mostly a sugary "gravy" taste. Not bad tasting, perhaps similar taste profile to Panda Express but with less distinct flavors. Overall may be crowd pleaser dishes but if you're used to good Chinese food, you may be disappointed. Service was friendly but slow during lunch special hours on weekends; servers seemed overwhelmed by the crowds.

After reading some of the…read morereviews, I felt compelled to leave my own because my experience was the complete opposite. A common complaint seems to be that the dim sum portions are "too big." Personally, I don't see how that's a negative. While dining here, I saw families with children enjoying the food without any issues--they simply cut the dumplings into smaller pieces before eating them. Larger portions mean you're getting more for your money, and the quality certainly backs it up. The service was outstanding from start to finish. The staff stayed on top of everything, from bringing out dishes promptly to keeping water glasses filled and checking in to make sure we were having a great experience. They made us feel genuinely welcomed and comfortable throughout our visit. The restaurant also has a modern, upscale dim sum atmosphere that feels inviting without being pretentious. As for the food, the Shrimp Har Gow and Pork & Shrimp Siu Mai were absolutely fantastic. The ingredients tasted fresh, the portions were generous, and every bite was satisfying. At the end of the day, I'd much rather spend $10 on high-quality, jumbo-sized dim sum that actually fills me up than spend $20 on tiny portions at DTF. For me, Lunasia is an easy 5/5 and has become my favorite spot for dim sum.

We asked for not spicy and there was only a hint of white pepper. The only negative was the presentation. It is served in a large paper cone. That's fine if you're eating and walking with it. But at a table, the cone was so tall that you have to stand up to see the chicken inside. And you have to rotate the cone if you're sharing since one side of the cone is taller than the other. The stinky tofu was serviceable but it could have been stinkier. The beef noodle soup was okay. The beef was very tender and the soup was good. But it's not as flavorful as the ones at Sue's Kitchen up the street. The only miss for me was the Dan Dan noodles. I was warned it was spicy but it was a bit spicier than I anticipated.
