1 star is way too much but had to give it or couldn't post this. Negative 10 is a better rating…read more This location is outright horrendous. The manager Caleb lies through his teeth and will scam you out of your money. Anything for a commission. I had paid for personal training for 3 sessions. Decided to sign up for a few more. Found out that he signed me up for 12 and auto signed me up without my knowledge. I only found out when I got charged 800.00 outta nowhere's. When I called, Caleb said I signed a contract for it, which I never did. He then stated I did, so I asked. Him to show me my signature on a contract. There was no signature from me. He or his employee auto signed my name. He yelled at me on the phone and argued repeatedly with me about this. When I asked for someone over him to discuss this with, he stated it goes no further than him and no one is above him. He refused to refund anything. Long story short there is a general manager/district manager. He's very power controlling or at least tries to be. He doesn't care about his customers at all. All he cares about was his COMMISSION. I never got any of my money back and got stuck with the personal training sessions. Personal training. Don't do. I signed up as I previously stated and they put me a trainer, Gerism. He is rude to no extreme and condescending on top of that. I told him I had an injury and was barely getting back into the gym and some things in the workout hurt the area I injured and that I need to stop. He processed to get mad and call me out on it and gets very annoyed. He told me I have to do it even through my pain and that's there's no other way to do it. He cancelled a session not even 24 hours in advance because he had a date in Tacoma and needed to leave early for it. He further to me about all the woman he is talking to and slept with which is so unacceptable and disgusting. He also informed me that he personal trains at LA fitness and a bunch of other gyms which I found out is against policy. He told me to change my diet, which I did and I gained 10 pounds. I've looked up things after he told me to do them and there completely wrong in every aspect DO NOT LISTEN TO HIM. He also does not give you any plan, or a goal to work towards. The equipment does not get wiped by even the trainers. Employees. Don't fill the cleaning bottles or refill the paper towels. It gets very disgusting. On top of this everytime you go into the bathrooms the smell of urine hits your nose along with the toilet paper all over the bathroom. If there is even any left by the time you get in there plus no one flushes No one monitors the front desk at all and they literally let homeless people go in there. I've been asked while working out for money or the hang out in the locker rooms. When I told management including Caleb about this, I was told again and he told the are aware of it and nothing was done to correct the situation. I've walked in at least 20 times and no one is ever at the front desk to either check to in or help you. Again Caleb said this never happens and the front desk is always manned. I asked him to review his cameras. If someone is at the front desk how does a homeless person he in, much less into the lockers rooms? I have walked into the men's locker and seen some guy who was drying off his private parts with the hand blower, with and a towel around him and the front opened. I reported this to management and was told by Caleb that they were aware of him and would warn him again about this. All through this, the manager Caleb remained argumentative, condescending and treating me like I'm stupid. The equipment never gets fixed, or takes weeks to be fixed. How can you work out with broken equipment? WHATEVER YOU DO. DO NOT GO TO THIS GYM. IT IS THE WORSE 24 HOUR FITNESS, I HAVE BEEN TOO. Try another location for sure and I'm sure you'll be happier.

In Jan 2026, I attempted to cancel online and was presented with a 3-month 50% retention offer through the company's website, which I accepted. Since then, I've been billed at the full rate and told there is "no record" of the offer, despite multiple follow-ups and being told adjustments would be made. This issue originated from the corporate website, not any local club. I ultimately canceled on April 2, 2026 only because the agreed terms were not honored. As of April 2026, there has been no resolution. I've filed complaints and am disputing charges due to the discrepancy between the terms presented and the billing applied. Separately, be aware there is also a $60+ one-time activation fee that was not clearly disclosed upfront at signup and appeared as a delayed charge 2-3 weeks later. Overall, this reflects a failure to honor terms presented during the signup/cancellation process and poor follow-through on billing issues.

The facility is clean and well maintained. 2. Sauna rooms are fully functional at all hours and appears to be clean & hygienic 3. Location is very central to Lynnwood and in a prime square with many popular restaurants around it. I have never seen any wrong sort of person ever around the gym even at 11pm in the night. I feel safe accessing the gym round the clock. 4. The self training open space is always clean and never too crowded that you would not find a spot. 5. Variety of equipment is sufficient in my opinion but then again, I do not use a lot of the equipment, so my judgement may not be accurate. 5. In general, folks using the gym are well mannered and mind their own business. I have never personally had or witnessed any conflict. Couple of things that could be better - 1. More training mats. There are a limited number of mats and sometimes hard to find and the ones they have are extremely dirty and torn. They must be replaced asap. Carry your own yoga mat if you can. 2. Lighter dumbbells and kettlebells is always hard to find. They stock very less of those. They should increase more equipment between 5lbs to 15lbs for both equipment. Overall, good place to workout with extended hours daily 5am - 11pm and even staying open on most public holidays for fairly reasonable hours. Pretty satisfied at this time with this gym.

This gym rains purple (cues corny reference to Prince's Purple Rain)…read more Let me preface by saying I've only ever been to one gym years ago for just a few months (LA Fitness in Tukwila). For reasons that evade me, that didn't last long but I did enjoy the ability to get in a variety of workouts that included options for the sauna and showers. Press the [FF] button to 5-10 years later, I come across a gentleman named Florexis Velasco on IG, who also happened to be a nutritarian vegan natty body builder (BB). Vegan BB are out there if you just use the damn internet to run basic searches. What stuck out to me was that "Flex" was local AND Filipino (vegan, body builder, Filipino, local... hell yeah!)! And thus, it inspired me to follow him and his progress opening the new Lynnwood AF location. I eventually signed up there all thanks to this newfound inspiration to join a gym, once again. Since it is far, I only drove up weekends until the FOB grace period passed and now stick with mostly local locations in Seattle. But that location is very solid. Clean and good condition (give it a few months/years, lol), great equipment variety for all levels of fitness, spacious facility and parking. Awesome perks for this growing suburb. The staff that got me setup were kind & positive examples. Good data tests and the phone app looks nice. If you're into the group class, or heck just curious, go for them. They look promising and I've read good things about them. Besides, let's be honest, it's always motivating getting the camaraderie support to getting our asses in gear while having sweaty fun. Feedback: porous rubber mats in the shower portions for comfort. Walking on the cold bare floor is no bueno. I think they should've took tried-and-true lessons from other gyms (for example, LA fitness had rubber porous mats along the shower walkway). The handicap chair is too "sterile" looking (plain vinyl/plastic). Other older AF locations have wooden handicap shower seats for a better aesthetic). The space is a bit too cold for my preference, especially during Winter. I'd leave the fans on low when high tempo classes are off and traffic is low. Glad I met Flex online and eventually in person, too. Very excited for what the future holds at this gym. And for those asking, it's totally possible to be both vegan and fit AF.

My experience is that I was paired with a female trainer named Andrea. I had a very BAD experience with her. She was belittling, demeaning, never smiled or showed interest, even once. She frequently rolled her eyes at me as I answered her "intake" questions. She acted as though she was so bored. I am in the over 50 category, and suspect that is why she was so disrespectful of me. I have not been back to that gym since. I would say, "buyer beware". There are other facilities with better management and trainers. I will likely drop my membership there.

If it were possible to leave a 0 star review I would. Save…read moreyour money, time, and energy and go literally to any other gym. The draw for ECA over big places like LA/24 hour was the smaller business vibe & I wanted to "shop local". I also liked the childcare options. 1. when we signed up at the Ballinger Village location with Brody, he made a big show of telling us (my husband and I) how they're a small business and they're not out to get money, he said most of them are just personal trainers or nutritionists, NOT BUSINESSMEN (i remember this line because he repeated it several times). So he encouraged me to sign up for the champions class. I asked specifically if I could cancel if it didn't fit my needs/baby schedule. He said "of course. But I'd recommend you try it for at least 60 days so you can really see if it works for you. And if you still need to cancel, just reach out. We're really chill here." This was near verbatim. 2. After more than a couple months, I found the champions class great for others but not for me/my toddler's schedule so I emailed to cancel which was the ONLY option I was given. And the email response was short, rude, and included a "$299 + tax downgrade fee" for the cancellation. Mind you, I wasn't trying to cancel our membership. Just MY champions access. I told them what Brody had told us just months prior and they absolutely didn't budge. That's fine. It's policy - I get it. But this is totally the kind of stuff big businesses pull and they should be up front. 3. We ended up completely cancelling our memberships (both of us) because we thought this way of business was shady and when you think about the cost and what they offer v. what big gyms offer (LA/24) then you'll realize it's absolutely not worth it. all that talk in the beginning is EXACTLY what it sounds like. a sales pitch. don't be sucked in. **I will say the teachers at the childcare are above and beyond. I have told everyone I know about our ECA experience and hopefully saved people quite a bit of $$$ but I have nothing negative to say about the teachers at childcare. ** in case my review is too long. read this reddit forum. https://www.reddit.com/r/Seattle/comments/oanvzy/emerald_city_athletics_a_toxic_manipulative_and/

I love collaborating with Ray because he is very, VERY knowledgeable. He can breakdown your workouts into simple formats and he can explain things into science when necessary. Our communication was amazing! When I have an injury, I say it. And the moment I say it, he immediately knows what to do and he shifts gears to work around it. I even mentioned about my left knee ACL surgery and guess what? He helped me work around that too! My goal was to get back into shuffling (electronic music dance form) and he pinpointed the areas where I need to work on most in order for me to effectively get back into my goal. He is such an amazing Trainer. The team is very welcoming and it feels like a second family.

In fact, he spent almost 4 hours with me (program covers only 2) just to explain everything in meticulous detail and cover all the modifications required for my individual health needs. He gave me twice the amount of time at no extra charge - he did it just because he cares. I had never worked with a trainer before and it made all the difference working with a professional like Ray. He was extremely attentive, motivating, and FUN! We became friends and I always looked forward to my training sessions. Another big advantage to book with PureResults is because Ray explains the reasoning behind each exercise and the reasoning behind the order we do it in because he cares about instilling that knowledge in his clients as well. I learned more about my body and how to take care of it working with Ray in this short time than I have in the last 10 years I've been trying to yo-yo diet and work out on my own. Your money is well spent here - Ray and May are honest, hard-working, knowledgeable, caring, and awesome individuals who want nothing more than to change peoples' lives for the better.
