Located within the Sapperton area of New Westminster, Columbia Medical is a 4-storey medical office building housing a variety of medical professional services. The building is very centrally- and conveniently-located to other such services within Sapperton. These include: the Royal Columbia Hospital (the emergency entrance to the hospital is located directly across the street), on Keary Street, the nearby Keary Centre and Royal City Medical, plus a LifeLabs med lab, and additional drug prescription facilities at a Shoppers Drug Mart and Save-on Foods Supermarket, each just a short walk away. If the family doctor refers us to a specialist at Columbia Medical, we know it is a great location, easy to get to, and handy to so many nearby additional services if/when required.

I was in disbelief ! She read the note and she knew very well that I am ill but refused to email me the note (??) Upon my insistence and explaining again and again that I am ill and cannot go anywhere, she finally said: "I will email the note ONLY this time as we do not offer this service" They charge $170 to fill few line on a form. They charge $80 for a very little tiny page. They charge $85 to $100 for missing appointments. I like my doctor he is a good man, but this clinic is very expensive more than any other that I have ever known. Yet bad service! It is a money making company NOT a clinic and no empathy whatsoever :(

After 3 trips to the ER at RCH I was finally diagnosed with an issue that can be easily solved…read morethrough minor surgery. In comes Dr. Blair. I saw him 4 times and he was fantastic each time. The first time was a consult and he explained the situation very well and also gave me good web references so I can do my own research on the problem. The next time I saw him was for a minor procedure to see how severe the problem was as I really wanted to avoid surgery if I could. So the extra procudure was my preference. He had given me two options and this was the path i choose. Of course, in my life nothing is so easy lol, so I did have to have the surgery. His beadside manners are so amazing. I was never unsettled in his presence. I knew that I was in good hands so to speak. A month later I went for a follow up and again he was great. He explained everything to me about how I was healing etc. If you need a general surgeon this one is FANTABULOUS!!!!!

A young girl of 24 was given a doctor error hysterectomy which ruined her health and life. Dr. WIntemute hid behind bureaucracy. Did Dr. Waterman tell this young lady the truth of what happened that day in the operating room? NO! You need to contact me Dr. Waterman, I need to know exactly what went on in the O.R. that day. I know Wintemute was loaded and shouldn't have been operating on anyone. If you have any compassion, heart, spiritual beliefs, etc, whatsoever, you will contact me and tell me everything. If you have NO heart, NO compassion, NO belief in God and you don't care about people whatsoever, then I guess I won't hear from you.

The staff has always been pleasant and treated not only myself, but my wife and daughter very well. In fact, it was part of the reason we chose to make Dr Huang our family doctor. Pre-COVID, this office is rather busy. There's a waiting area and it's in the same building as Kent Pharmacy making it easy to get your prescriptions filled as soon as they are prescribed to you.
