I truly enjoyed this place!! One of our nephew and his wife's favorite place in Missouri. They locally most ingredients and participate in a sea to land seafood program. As most places they aren't perfect, but the most all of food was excellent and all that I tasted was amazing. We had reservations but came a little early. They were a little busy for a small place but they got us taken care of. Love the sweet potato chips with homemade honey cream sauce made with locally sourced honey from my nephews bee hives. My mushroom & Swiss Burger was excellent. My father-in-law did care for his meal, he said the prime rib didn't seem like prime rib. It seemed very small compared to a similar pic on yelp. He said the onion rings were over done, I however loved them and ate most of his. One of nephew and his wife's favorite place. No place is perfect, this is a great place, pretty great food and good service.

Best food around! Everything is made by scratch and the seafood is very fresh. Worth the short drive out of town! Especially for the ghiradelli chocolate cheesecake .

Although it is a good drive from town, it is well worth it! The appetizer servings were humungous! I havent had a bite of food that made me want to dance in a long time. The food sets off a party in your mouth. You have to try it!!

Prime rib with mashed potatoes and asparagus. $26.00

Salad-the usual. They have your house, Caesar, and chef salad. Lets just say, you don't come here for salad. Lemonade-"freshly squeezed"? If you like super lemon-y lemonade, this might not be for you. It did taste fresh and it was refreshing, but I wouldn't pay $2.00 for one cup without refills again. Entree-prime rib with mashed potatoes, asparagus, and bread. Meat was seasoned well and cooked beautifully. Potatoes could have used more salt or butter. Bread was pretty good too...you can tell they are fresh. Asparagus could use a little more seasoning but not overlooked. Overall, the food was delicious. The wait staff was a little rushed, but still managed to check up on you frequently enough. Price was fair. Location is a little remote, but its worth going a little farther out to get some decent prime rib.

So good. Well worth the drive from Kirksville. The pork Roast was delicious. They also make their salad dressings in house. I would come back anytime I am in town. The service is good, but you should expect a wait for your food.

Farm fresh and locally sourced. great dinner, a random location off beaten path! Don't let the exterior fool you! Good wine by the glass!

TLDR: Basically Denny's…read more MENU: Breakfast seems to be the happening thing here, especially brunch on Sundays. They have your typical breakfast fare in the morning, and diner style burgers, fried chicken, and whatnot during the day. FOOD QUALITY: Good, but very basic. I believe most of the items are made up of factory ingredients thrown together. For example I went here for brunch with a friend recently and got the barbacoa bowl - the spuds were the frozen par-fried kind, the cheese sauce was out of a can, etc. I also had the nutella waffle, which was a frozen waffle (kinda soggy, rather than crispy) with literally a squeeze of nutella and a sliced banana. Their stuff is basic to the point that you could make most of the menu at home in less time than it takes to drive up there and wait for your order. MENU FAVORITES: I've only been here twice, once for a burger (which was pretty good - I'd say a contender for the best restaurant burger in Kirksville), and once for brunch, so there's a lot of things I haven't tried. The stuff I did have was satisfying, and the price is fair. MENU FAILS: N/A. FRONT OF HOUSE SERVICE: Staff is friendly and attentive. KITCHEN SERVICE: The food is basic, but done well. Your scrambled eggs will be cooked through but still moist. Your pancakes will be nicely browned and fluffy. COMPETITION: The closest comparison for breakfast stuff would be Rosie's Northtown Cafe, and Diner 54 is definitely better. For burgers and fried chicken, the closest comparison would be Maxwell's, and I'd say they're about the same, quality-wise. ATMOSPHERE: The last time I went was for brunch on a Sunday and the place was PACKED! (Meaning there was a short wait, the restaurant was noisy, etc.) Otherwise, clean, comfortable, and cheery.

The chicken looked like it had just been killed and not a good way and it was dry AF as said by the person who ate the chicken the chicken wraps were good and so the fries, but they were really big and also the tomatoes, kinda taste old. their chocolate milkshake was really good and it brought all the boys to the yard. The onion rings looked really bad, but I guess they were OK and most of the food was average. The service was good. We got our food pretty quickly and it was a quiet little restaurant. It was like little café. It also kind of looked like a trap house, but it was OK on the inside.
