I contacted this company to replace my lining initially. When they removed my lining, we discovered that all of my framing was rotted, and they basically had to rebuild the the outside framing of the pool. I can't stress enough the quality and workmanship that this company performed. I am extremely picky and I micromanage, so I'm not easy to work with. However, they were very gracious with all of my demands, and exceeded my expectations. They were patient with me and communicated well. Hector and his team were great. Hector made sure that very skilled crews were showing up at my house and taking care of all the details. Hector was patient with me and went over grout colors and made sure that all the details were polished. I also did a build out of the top ledge and surrounded it with stone and grout. I appreciate that they reached out to me immediately after hearing of my dissatisfaction and since then have come through with a refund that will be granted for some of the material (sand). I am very appreciative for a business that helped to remedy the situation and provide good customer service as I know that not every purchase or construction will go perfectly. I am writing to update that, after first telling me to try to work with the salt cell warranty company myself, Secard finally sent someone out to take a look at the salt system. Javier took his time to assess the issue, and although his salt measurement was off at first, I was able to show him that he was measuring from the wrong part of the pool by having my own salt meter at the ready. Once this misunderstanding was resolved, he was able to determine that the entire system (salt cell and computer) needed to be replaced, and did so right then and there. I am very grateful to finally have a working pool. I still cannot in good conscience recommend Secard to anyone, but I did feel an obligation to update my review to communicate that the main issues have been resolved. The cosmetic issues we will live with, I am just ecstatic to have a working pool after nearly 2.5 years of issues. read more

Purchased my spa @ la county fair. Guess it wasn't very clear on how open the access had to be for delivery. I guess the main focus was the width of gate vs access width for side of gate. Spa was delivered two wks later & I guess the delivery guy's cudnt make a turn to go side house, so it went back to Seacard. Now a wk later ( delivered ) I had to have it craned in ($500 ) @ my expense. My electrician hooked up the wires, filled it with water as directed & now the pumps don't wrk. After 3 or 4 min pumps shut off. The main pump won't even go on high without turning off. Plus it's dripping water from underneath. Now I gotta wait another wk for repair tech to come look @ it. There went my Fourth of July wkend. I will repost again after technician comes. So, 1 star for now. read more

Purchased a spa cover 9 months ago and the seams have burst on it exposing the plastic foam on it. When I purchased the cover I was told it would last me 10 years and it didn't even make it to a year. I contacted the store asking for assistance and perhaps a warranty and was told sorry no only has 60 DAYS warranty and was told I simply had to buy another one as if money grows on trees and I didn't just pay $1,131 less than a year ago for this one. Do not recommend anyone to buy their covers from here unless they want cheap faulty expensive products that need to be replaced every year. read more

We just bought our second spa from Secard Pools. The first was a 7 person spa and this one is a 14 foot swim spa. We worked with Becca in Rancho Cucamonga. It has been such a great experience. Prior to purchase we had 1 million questions and Becca is a pro. She answered every question and volunteered information when we did not know what to ask. She is patient and understanding and realizes that this is a major purchase. She arranged for delivery and crane service into the backyard. The installers were professional, courteous and patient with the spa placement. We've had our Swim Spa for one week now, and she has continued to help with our chemicals as we try to regulate the water. Never buy a spa or swim spa from anyone other than Becca. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER MARISSA AND STEPHANIE -- Bought a $14k from here for my son's physical therapy (medically needed), Shad and Aaron helped me out. Shad stated if ever any issues to call him. A few months in the spa started to leak, they sent a guy out, said the heater was leaking but it was a two man job and needed to come back another day. A month later they were able to come out again, only to tell me the problem fixed itself. Skeptical I asked what it it continues to leak, they said no worries they would just come again. Part of this process is draining the spa, not cheap in cost of water and chemicals. So of course the spa starts to leak again. I get an appointment, again weeks out. The day of the appointment, NO SHOW NO CALL - I called spoke to Marissa and she claimed she was about to call me, sure just like the checks in the mail, I explained I have to take time off of work to allow people in my back yard, she didn't care, just said it's not their problem and it's out of their control that the workers could not show up. I explained the cost of having to keep draining the spa and he offered a chemical starter kit, which I excepted. A week later the workers show up first thing in the morning. I asked for the chemical kit, they looked confused. I call in speak to Marissa and she admits she forgot to add it to the work order. Now she said I have to wait another week for the chemicals. So again, my son can't use the spa for yet more time. The workers felt bad and offer me some opened/ used chemicals for the situation. I told him I didn't want them if it would effect the kit that was to be sent to me next week, he said no worries. Here we are today. No chemical kit. I call in spoke to Marissa and she said she took me off schedule because the worker already gave me "something ". And if I still wanted the kit I now have to wait yet another week or take time off of work and inconvenience myself further to drive to their office in Rancho. I asked to speak to Shad as he told me, any issues talk to him. She said no, she would not allow me to speak to him only Stephanie. And she said sarcastically that I can call Shad on his person cell, if I have that number. Speaking to Stephanie was identical to speaking with Marissa, cold and uncaring. Just repeating the same things Stephanie said. Not until I mentioned Yelp or the BBB did she even ask where I lived. Then said, really you are going to complain over chemicals?? Yes, I am, as it is evident that my time or my son's need for the spa does not matter to Secard's staff. If you treat people this petty over chemicals, I could only imagine how bad the rest of your customer service is. It seems like I am asking for a million dollars to have them do what THEY promised and drive a box of chemicals 9.1 miles. Complaint to the Better Business Bureau next... I am expecting this to get to Shad and the Board of Directors, only then can change happen and the next customer can get decent service. read more

I have had my Secard pool for about 3 years now. Even though as time passes we start to lose our warranties, i have not lost the personal attention i have received from field manager Brian Anderson. As a new pool owner i was clueless on the week to week maintenance, chemical balancing, etc. Brian took the time to explain things on multiple occasions. What prompted this Yelp review was my latest interaction with Brian. About 8 days ago my pool filter pump was pushing out about half the volume of water. Over the next few days the pool turned green, i checked and cleaned all the filters...no prob there. Over the 3-4 days that followed i reached out to Brian and told him what i was experiencing....he sent me long, very detailed instructions on what may cause the drop in water pressure and how i could remedy it. By the 8th day the pool was a dark green and i still had not fixed it. I called a pool guy out of frustration. After coming out and "staring" at it he quoted me $ 2,800 to pressure test and replace the pump. I asked him to send me the quote and i would get back to him. Given this significant financial turn of events i went back to Brians emails where he mentioned taking off the pump impellar casing and checking for debris. I removed the 8 bolts and found 5 small pieces of gravel grinding against the inside of the impellar spindle. After removing then with a flat head screwdriver i applied silicone to the gasket, reinstalled the pump and 15 minutes later the pump was up and running and homing like the first day it was put in.....12 hours later with some shock we were swimming again. Brian did not need to go the extra mile....he could have flatly told me it was $ 275 to come out and look but he made every effort to resolve my problem promptly. It is rare to find an employee that will provide that type of care, after the sale had been completed. MUCH APPRECIATED BRIAN.... read more

I purchased a pool from them in 2010. I replaced the liner in 2017. After other things started to break down, they wouldn't send anyone out. I tried to find people on my own, but they would never know what to do with the islander. I was at the mercy of secard and they totally let me down. I called so many times. The sent me to a guy named bo who never wanted to come to my area. I am begging to give them my money and they simply don't want it. They were quick to take the large initial payment, but the small things they are unwilling to assist with. Due to their lack of responsiveness, my pool no longer works. They respond when I request a quote for a new liner, as that is several thousand dollars, but will not help at all to figure out what is wrong with the equipment . I wish I would have spent the extra money and went with a traditional pool. My biggest regret with my house is going with this company. The worst customer service I have ever encountered. I can't wait for the class action law suit because its coming. Update: I was able to speak with Carl and he was very helpful. He listened and offered a solution to my problem. Their customer service rep Rachel said Spa's are heavy things happen. They said the best they could do is pressure wash my cement. Lol ! The cement is chipped and scratched pressure washing did nothing and now their not returning my calls. Customer service now a days is garbage but I'm taking a stand on this one. Update- as of 3/9/23 I wanted to let everyone know that even though we started rough and had some missed communications, my pool project is now fully completed. The pool was done in December but some minor background issues needed to be resolved before we could finalize. Aaron was able to resolve all our issues and thoroughly explain everything to me. He was very helpful, and I do think he has a tough job. I revised my rating because in the end, Aarron heard and understood where I was coming from and unfortunately this was more than just pointing fingers at each other type of complaint, he worked through it and found a solution that worked for both and for that I appreciate him. He tells us his computer tells him our yard is 12ft and will leave no room for a pool (after the mandatory 5ft on each side set back). We tell him there's no way (we have a corner lot). He insists he's right (after all, that's what he does) and then ushers us out. (Maybe I should've dressed nicer.... But Covid has me not feeling very glamorous... Lol) We arrived home to measure our yard. It's currently 23ft x 48ft, and we will be pushing it out another 5ft to 28ft. Plenty of room. I just told my Husband to spend whatever he wants... Update******* I have a soft spot for business owners who take the time to reach out and address any concerns that comes up with customers who have had an issue with one of their employees or representative, as business owners can't always control what those beneath them say or do, but they can always make every effort to right the wrong. Eddie the owner reached out to my family and I must say that we will definitely give them another chance if we decide to go with them, but at the Pico Office instead of Rancho. We had a very bad experience with this location. I don't believe this is a company wide issue, just this location in Rancho. First, it started with inconsistent email replies. I would reply with his questions and then I wouldn't hear back. A few days later, I emailed him again to have somebody contact me. Nobody did, so I decided to drive 35 minutes a few days later to that location. First, we're greeted through an intercom and a few minutes later he comes to the door and leads us to one pool. We told him we were intrigued by the Facebook ad and wanted info on options. As we're standing at the one islander pool, he tells us to feel the inside wall of the pool. Talks a little and tells us to follow him to his office. He didn't show us any hot tubs or other pool options. We get to his office and punches our address into his computer. Tells us our yard is only 12 feet wide according to his software. We adamantly explain to him those numbers are incorrect and that our yard is bigger than that. He replies that his computer is pretty accurate and we can't put a pool in there. He says you may want to consider a swim spa. As I'm asking more pool questions, he said , again with your yard size, it's a moot point. He escorts us out. I'm with my wife and little girl so I kept my cool. As soon as we get home, I measure our yard which is 23ft x 48ft. We are pushing our wall back an extra 5 feet to get us to 28x48. Needless to say, we won't be doing business with Secard. Again, I'm sure this isn't a company wide issue, just this Rancho location... Oh, today he called answering my email from many days before. Not knowing we were already there the day before. Purchased my pool 5 years ago and it wasn't the best experience with the sales representative I had. There was a lot of things he left out about design options. Fast forward to 2022 and I am being told they are not doing any out of warrant work. This has been over a years (first called in 2021) that they have been saying the same thing. So who is supposed to complete the needed repairs if the company who I purchased the pool from isn't willing to do it. I understand I am not purchasing a new pool for 20k like I did 5 years ago but it would still be nice if I could have my pool serviced. If I can give 0 stars, I would. In the beginning they are obviously extremely friendly and helpful (to get the sell, of course). They asked for a 2k deposit, which in CA, a business can only ask for a down payment of 10% or 1k. We waited for MONTHS for the job to start, which we were fine with considering it is summer. (They also kept pushing the date they were supposed to come and do the pool by weeks.) The job took two days to complete, we noticed that a piece called the "T Lock" was extremely long and not in place. (I tried to tuck it in and adjust it but it was just too long and needed to be cut.) We then called the workers who were gone for a few hours to see if they could come back to fix it, they stated that they didn't have time today and they instructed us to just cut it and place it together our selves. For the amount of money we paid (thousands!) I don't think we should have to cut and screw it back in place ourselves. We figured they should've done a walk through of THEIR JOB after to see if everything was completed correctly and efficiently. (It was not.) We then called the secard construction department and were connected to Houston T. He was EXTREMELY Unprofessional, Arrogant, and rude. He lacks BASIC customer service skills and knowledge. He talked over me and continued to go off topic multiple times, He said that was cosmetics and they didn't need to go back and fix it. He refused to help me and connect me with his manager, Brian. Who he said isn't there. He wouldn't let me leave him a message and finally disconnected when he heard the frustration in my voice. Again, he is VIOLENTLY unethical and unprofessional. All I wanted was someone to understood my frustration of waiting three months to complete my pool and have someone come out (sometime this week) to fix it. If it's as simple as they made it seem, I don't see why they couldn't have sent someone to help a customer who paid a lot for this to be done. They should treat their customers better considering we're the reason they have a job in the first place. I HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND secard pools. They're much better companies that do the same if not better work that are also affordable. Lesson learned, I will not return to secard again. read more
