I'd give this place 5 stars strictly on the basis of their employees. Their employees are…read moreconsistently friendly and conscientious and eager to help. Unfortunately -- like most thrift stores, their prices are much too high. If you're hoping to stretch your budget, you aren't likely to find any good deals here.

I called before I went and they said it was fine to come on up and said it had been a whole year when they gave me my last voucher. But when I got there and handed my electric bill to them they went and called Liberty Electric and said that someone had been paying on the bill and come back when my Electric bill was higher, what they don't know is I had to work out a payment plan with Liberty because I could not pay the whole bill last month and the only way I can pay is with the $225.00 dollars I get on my benefits card which can either buy food or it will pay on either your electric bill or phone bill or food. I had to use the whole $225.00 for electric so they wouldn't cut off my electric, were I could had bought $225.00 worth of food. I have never been so humiliated when she said she would not help me out with food. Sorry that I had to pay the electric so I guess I will go without food this month but at least I will starve to death rather than freeze to death. Yes, the people are very rude, these so called Holy rollers !! The girl that said no weights about 300lbs. so I don't think she has missed many meals!!!! I was wealthy at one point in my life and have donated hundreds of dollars worth of furniture and TV's in the past, even a brand new bed among other things. I promise you this that I will sell my stuff now or throw it away before I ever donate One more thing to this place. They all got their noses stuck up in the air I can't stand to go in there. They can Have there box fan back because I manage to make enough money working to by a high velocity fan from Amazon. I guess I will grass this month in the warmth of my 625 square foot Apt. God Bless the sinners and the Homeless that have fallen on hard times. Please Avoid this place and donate else were.

NMC Auxiliary Thrift is the longest continually operating thrift shop in Springdale. They have a small gravel parking lot, but I've never had any issue getting in or out. Before you walk in, there are some bargain baskets outside - this week, they had t-shirts for 25 cents, picture frames for 50 cents, and pairs of socks for 15 cents, for example. Clothes and shoes take up the majority of the store, but they also have dolls, china, appliances, books, toys, and more. They make sure that all of their appliances work before putting them on the floor. Their adult clothing is more geared toward an aging crowd, I think, but I've gotten several great quality finds. Their standard pricing is about middle of the road for thrift shops, but they ALWAYS have deals running there so you can get a lot of bang for your buck. This week, pants and summer tops were half off. They've scheduled doll sales and linen sales. What makes NMC Auxiliary Thrift so special is that the volunteers there are wonderful. They're always so delighted with my finds, and you can tell that they love volunteering.
