Let's break this on down: SERVICE: You'll walk in and feel like your are walking into a friend's house. We were greeted with a smile and a warm "hey there, how are ya?" I'll be honest, this is not the place where the stylists wear chic matching uniforms (in fact, they'll probably be in comfy active wear) or where they offer you a sparkling water or a glass of wine, BUT they are just as nice as can be, and affordable. SKILL: Note: I can only review Tony (I have yet to get a haircut from another resident stylist.) Tony knows his stuff! He has cut pretty much every variety of hair that exists in my family (long and curly, short and curly, short short and straight, and medium length straight) and every cut was a success. He pays extra attention where other salons would not, especially around the ears and at the back of the neck. He'll also take the time to listen to what you want and won't get sassy if you ask for "just a bit more off the top" halfway through. ATMOSPHERE: Just prepare yourself: SophistiCuts is located in an old residential-looking structure tucked away from the main road, and the inside is just as unimpressive as the outside. That being said, it is clean and comfortable, and not worth shying away from the skill and affordable-ness of the place. Give this place a try and ask for Tony!
