Kids can play on the grass and parents know they wont come to any harm. There is free access to the pits and paddock which means between races you can get close up tot he cars (and drivers!), there is also plenty of free carparks. The only thing which lets Croft down are the lack of perminant facilities like toilets, but plenty of portaloos are available on race weekends. Always a good day out and gret fun for all the family.

The pub has 2 bowling alleys in it so when you are having a drink you can have a game of bowls with you mates. Other than this it has quite a big section with Pool and Snooker tables with seem to draw a lot of attention. If you would rather just have a drink then you can do so on one of the many massive big screens, these are excellent when there is a good game on. The staff are always polite a friendly and they offer a good lunch time menu, quite often you get a lot of students popping in on lunch time, on an evening it is always reasonably busy (not so much with students) and has a good atmosphere. We went when it was winter so the plants were dying off but still nice to walk around, a big walking area which was refreshing on a cold day but I expect would be better on a hot day. They have a big greenhouse with interesting plants and when you move through you will see insects and other plants. They have a little cafe as well if you want drinks or snacks, we didnt go in though so couldnt tell you how much it was. Free car park outside. They have a gift shop where you can buy some interesting things, a bit pricey though.

There is a good woodland walk here which leads to a pond teaming with ducks and wildlife. There are a couple of good play areas for children, and a shop and tea room (on the old station platform). I went to first aid here once after a fall, and the staff there were pleasant. Always plenty of activities to take part in and organised weekends at the woodland park.
