I started a one year trip across the US at the…read morebeginning of 2026 and it's my first time in an RV so I may not have a lot of perspective on what to expect for an RV park. However, this is my third " resort" so I feel confident giving an opinion. Overall and considering the monthly rate of around $30/night plus electric I'd say it's ok. Not great and not terrible. However there are certainly a few things that need to be changed for me to give a better review. We had some very cold/freezing weather that really wreaked havoc with their water lines. They shut them off in advance of the deep freeze which is understandable but since then the water has been shut off for repairs three separate times including today. The overall upkeep of the park could use some work as well. About half of the laundry machines don't work and the picnic tables that come with each spot are in dire need of replacement. Many of them including mine have rotted wood which is embarrassing when having guests over. The main gate doesn't work and was supposed to be operational for a while now but is not. I would also guess that at least half of the spaces are filled with permanent campers and many of which are definitely way past their prime. Calling this a resort is a bit of a stretch. One of the other issues that I have to point out is the frequent presence (especially at night) of freight trains which are adjacent to the park. If you are a light sleeper you will have problems with the trains blaring their horns through the night. As for the clientele, from what I can tell, most people keep to themselves and I guess that can be expected when half of the spots are filled with permanent campers and not people on vacation. The staff is decent and helpful and they do have scheduled activities for many evenings and the public spaces of the lake/clubhouse/grill pavilions are nice and clean. The spaces are large enough to park your rig and two cars and the grassy area is usable with decent space and many trees. The weather was too cold for me to try out the pool and hot tub so I am not able to comment on them but they seem decent and clean. I also did not use or look at the public bathrooms and shower facilities. Next time I am in the Houston area I will probably look for a different place to stay. Overall, considering the low price, you could do worse, but I think you could also do better for not a lot more money.

Livin' in the big city like I do, I'm used to public transport. I don't even own a car so I try to…read moreuse a bus or a train wherever I go. Imagine my delight when I found a bus route that goes all around downtown Houston (conveniently taking me from my hotel to the barber shop) and best of all....it's free! The Greenlink is a downtown circulator that takes you all around the central business district. I took it from Houston Center up to Lousiana and Jefferson. Then I took it back after my haircut. The bus was clean, there was almost nobody on it and it was fast. Houston, I recommend you start using this before the funding dries up and it goes away. If you work downtown, use it to go to lunch somewhere different. The buses come very quickly (every 6-7 minutes) and it's free!

FREE is always good…read more It was my first time in Downtown Houston, TX and I didn't know that there is a free bus. Since I sold my car, I get used to commute public transportation. With greenlink bus, I was able to see the city and it was very great experience. Every 15-20 minutes it runs and I really like it I was going to a barber shop and took one of this Greenlink bus. and it was very easy to commute around downtown houston.

On the other side of 99 as of right now HEB is being built in Bridgeland so we won't have to go out of the neighborhood so I love that, As well as other commercial buildings it so much to see and do here. There's also street parking nearby available after rush hour ends for about $2/hr. Security: You will have to go through security to enter the building and that's what causes the line to back up out the door. There is a metal detector to walk through and you put your bag through one - airport style They do make you take all electronics out of your bags. Belts, watches, etc come off but not shoes (thank goodness) . Make sure to leave nail files, lighters, etc in your car Getting to the passport office: The passport office is in the 4th floor. There are 2 sets of elevators so make sure you're waiting for the right one. The lower levels one is on the further end from security. When you get upstairs the guard will check your reservation confirmation and tell you what line to get in. From there it's just showing what they ask at the window then going to the next place they tell you . Other info: Apparently there is somewhere to take passport photos on site for a fee Everyone was very polite and friendly which I wasn't necessarily expecting ! I arrived to the building at 7:40am and was at the 4th floor by about 8:05am. I was done by 8:30am which was actually my appointment time. I recommend arriving early! When I came to pickup my passport at about it 2pm there were no lines anywhere

Signed up to try out the Old Town Spring Ghost Walk in October…read more and we really enjoyed ourselves. We had heard that old town Spring was haunted and even read a book about its haunted history, so we knew we had to try this. We had two ghostly ladies provide a very fascinating and detailed walk though old town Spring at nigh after most things have closed down. Everyone in the group were provided with EMF meters to help in detecting paranormal activity throughout the area. We did receive a lot of activity on our meters especially in areas that my wife and I knew were known for paranormal activity and little to no activity in other places. These are true EMF meters and really came alive in one particular place with a great haunted history and by chance ran in to a couple of freelance paranormal investigators who were monitoring it and we were able to witness their equipment registering activity as well. Whether you believe or not, the 90 minute walk was both interesting and informative and well worth checking out. Check out the history of the town then tour and see if you actually see some activity.
