Fresh and delicious! I am so happy I stumbled across this spot on my way home from the beach. The food is AMAZING. I built my one bowl with ponzu noodles and Japanese kale as my base. Yum...I can eat the ponzu noodles -- EVERY. DAY. All my toppings were perfection, seasoned so where you still enjoyed the natural taste of the vegetable. I got two sauces (because they all looked delicious and I couldn't decide on one): mango habanero and garlic red pepper. Tasting them alone I wasn't impressed..BUT...once added to my bowl it was the perfect compliment to the dish and the flavors set in much to my pleasure. See, the sauce was not the dish. The food was the dish...as it should be. Oh, and the portions were definitely worthy! I ate half my bowl for lunch and the other half for dinner. (I always find fresh food to fill me up faster...) The food line and rest of the establishment was aesthetically pleasing. The staff were pleasant and didn't rush me while I asked questions about a few of the items. The food is covered and not just sitting open on the line. I like this extra measure too. It's not those other build your own spots! Lastly, they have signs for each item with the calorie count. Also a nice plus. My daughter and I both truly enjoyed our meals. Oh yeah, which included a sugar-free vegan dessert! The chocolate cheesecake dish was a perfect end to my meal. Definitely recommend this spot to anyone looking for a plant-based meal while visiting the area. KUDOS to the chef and staff. I wish they had one of these in DC. I was a little put off by the name and theme, because I kind of hate "fancy" veggie foods and healthy food restaurants in general. I thought it would be like True Food Kitchen (which I don't like). But hooray, it's not! The food actually tastes good. The way it works is you choose from several categories to create a bowl of veggies and/or meats over noodles, rice, salad, or whatever you want. I chose lemongrass noodles and cilantro rice as the base (the bottom of the bowl). Both were pretty good - not my favorite thing, but definitely ok for even a picky eater. Then over that I put mushrooms (great), balsamic tomatoes (also very good), and sweet potatoes (awesome - everyone's favorite thing). I had the vinaigrette sauce and the roasted red pepper sauce - both were fantastic. Utimately, I couldn't eat the whole bowl (I got a large size). A small would have been more than enough. Some things I was confused about before I went - I wasn't sure if the foods were cooked or it was all raw. It's an assortment of raw and cooked foods. Things like rice and noodles are obviously cooked and served hot, but the spinach base is like a salad, not cooked. Potatoes and most of the vegetables were either cooked or at least marinated, not plain. If you're vegetarian or vegan, it's way more choices than you'll get anywhere else in Rehoboth. Overall I'd say it's a great place to stop for lunch, or to get some takeout to bring home. We have been stuffing ourselves on comfort food all week at various restaurants, and I just could not eat another piece of bread or pasta. I was craving vegetables and lighter food, and this was the perfect place. We ate dinner there, inside, and it's fine (very clean and there are booths along the side), but it's not really a place to bring a big group for a sit-down meal. The service is bar-style (like Mod Pizza), not traditional table service. Oh, and it's really inexpensive. $11-15 per bowl. That's an amazing deal in Rehoboth, where we have paid twice that for most meals. read more
