SEEK BUSINESS CAPITAL IS A HUGE SCAM! Our company contacted them about 2 years ago regarding business funding as they advertised on social media. A representative immediately contacted us and was very adamant about signing up for funding. He said the process that was simple and that we were the perfect candidate to receive funding and their services. Honestly, it was very a very confusing process and did not realize that they already signed applications for at least 12 credit cards at 0% interest saying that it was 'normal' process of getting business funding through SEEK CAPITAL. Their representatives forced me to lie to the credit card companies regarding what the credit would be used for. Total red flag and we should have stopped there! Credit cards were approved and so was a a bill to SEEK for over $9K in service charges! That was not explained thoroughly and at that point we had no way out. After paying the service fee, they refused to offer help, answer calls and help with the credit cards that they opened. It just goes on and on! Do not do business with these people, they are SCAMMERS, will screw up your perfect FICO score and leave you with extreme credit card dept after the 0% interest expires. They also lied about having the credit card companies extending the 0% interest if the card was not paid off, HUGE LIE! SEEK is presently being sued by the FTC. We are adults and no one should be applying but you. I got roped in with this company after looking for business funding. The talked to me during my lunch breaks and refused to get off the phone with me until I signed the paper work. I didnt even get a chance to think. By the time I realized, they had conned be by saying they can fund me $50-70 K in unsecured credit cards. But charge 11.99% of that funding. That $7000. You sign the application and give them all your sensitive info and they apply for credit cards in your name and ask you to lie to the banks as they sit silent on the other line to see what funding you get. Then, when I brought up that this didn't feel right I feel conned, the rep blew up on me (Like the scammers do when you dont give them your credit card #) From there I thought this fish stinks , so I called back a bank that did not approve me and told them my perdicament. The bank said it was a scam and that i needed to protect my identity stat., freeze all my credit reports and do not answer them. Apply for every business bank you know. As far as i know, Wells Fargo, Bank of America, Chase and American Express worked for me. You can open a business banking account without having a business credit card yet... *make the highest estimates* You will also need the totals or estimates of the following: Total Assets (anything from your car - yes. and everything you own). Annual Salary Annual Estimated Returns Loan Amount (this is kinda irrelevant, but THEY asked me this) Retirement saved Household members Assets and or salary of household members and yours combined. Thats pretty much it. THIS IS WHAT THEY DID. You can call the banks on your own or apply for them online and you will get a credit card that pretty much lets you pay out of it and not pay it back for a year (but you still have to maintain minimum amounts) Do it by yourself. Seek Capital is being sued by the FTC because it's a scam! They aggressively sought out me as I sought a line of credit to fund my business. I was specific in the fact that I needed money for payroll. Ultimately, all they did was fill out a bunch of credit card applications, congratulate me on my $140,000 line of credit, and charge me 10% as a fee, so basically, they charged me $15,000 to open a bunch of credit cards in my name. I would like to first start this review with saying I am Appalled that Google would allow such a misleading, manipulative company such as SeeCapital to be search worthy in their algorithm as I will explain why. I started a start up photo booth rental company and wanted to secure funding in my business name to purchase the equipment (10k) but the only issue is being a new company most banks do not want to lend a business loan line of credit which is how I stumbled on SeeCapital on Google. I explained to Haddon Galindo(haddon.galindo@seekcapital.com) what I was looking for (10k in business loan) and she assured me that they work and have relationships with banks to secure funding ( which is a lie as I will explain). She noted they only start off at 20k so I agreed but she then proceeded to put I'm requesting 40k-60k in secure funding. She transfers my file to Matthew Ruffalo(matthew.ruffalo@seekcapital.com) who then tries to pull made up expenses out of thin air to try and increase my secure funding to a potential max of 100k ( which only increases their fee). I explained again that I'm only looking for 10k and I do not know where 100k is coming from and that I am not comfortable with requesting that amount. He went back and adjusted the request to 40k-60k when again I ONLY WANTED 10K. This company then proceeds to apply to 5-7 different banks with opening 6 personal lines of credit and 1 business line of credit. If I wanted to freely apply to various banks for personal lines of credit I could have done so myself but I was under the impression they had relationships with banks. Their definition of relationships is scheduling a coaching call to prep you on what to say to the banks when they call to verify if you submitted the application. They get excited when you mention a new line of questioning the banks ask that they were unaware of. They then use this information to help better coach potential future individuals who fall victim to this manipulative business practice. My file gets transferred to yet another person Christopher Clary(christopher.clary@seekcapital.com) who I explained yet again I was only looking for 10k and all these personal lines of credit were uncalled for. He pretends to be sympathetic and says " I will have my team listen to the recording" because he asked if I was feeling that his prior coworker was being deceitful in his verification phone call based on our conversation. He explains that he can not help discount the fee because I stopped the process (OVB when again I ONLY NEEDED 10K). So overall this company opened 5 personal lines of credit which I did not need, charging me $6,350.45 for opening all the lines of credit because apparently they get paid based on the total line of credit they open for you( regardless if you accept). To compound this manipulation they do not make it clear they charge per account instead of the total ( receipt attached). They are dedicated to fueling dreams by providing funding to small businesses but they leave out the fact they open personal lines of credit ( although they say business) and hit you with a bill that will take a new start up business a year to cover, so yeah they are dedicated alright. They saw someone with excellent credit and took advantage of them using their misleading and manipulative practices. When I inquired about their 2019 lawsuit and the suspension of their license. I wish I had read the reviews. I wish I wouldn't have gone through with it. Everyone who works there is very informative and fast talking too. They make it seem "transparent" but it's much too expensive at 12% interest rate from the total amount and the fees grow very quickly. You could actually do this yourself if you keep applying. They definitely make sure you get the amount you seek IN CREDIT CARDS not an actual loan. No matter how much they insist I'll get back the $3500 signing fee, (or at least 40% of it back with taxes), I really hate that I committed to doing this. It's not a completely terrible deal since they did register my business for a whopping $295 and helped me apply for 20k business credit but it's NOT A GOOD DEAL either. I really can't wait to get out of it and I haven't even started yet. I should've consulted with people who know more about financing beforehand. Everyone I spoke to said there were better ways to have accomplished my funding goals for my business. I now have 8 new credit cards for my business. UGH...I think the part that burns me up the most is that once you get the invoice for the service you have to pay it on the spot or they are harassing you by phone and email. I feel as though I should have paid better attention to the reviews on here about Seek Capital. My experience was that this company works by determining the likelihood of you getting approved for funding, which happens to be in the form of credit cards. If they feel that you are eligible, they then send your file off to various lenders for approval. For each credit card you get approved for, they charge a fee of ~12%. Thus, if you get approved for 12,000 credit card they charge ~1,440. This is on top of the allocation fee which is nearly $800. For additional fees, you can pay for things such as bank negotiations. To be honest, the only value of this company, that I see, is that you get 1 pull on your credit report. I do not feel that the value this company offers matches the fees you pay. It feels as though they are taking advantage of small business owners that are in desperate need of funding. I made a $6,200 mistake that I will not repeat again. read more

Joe did the consultation and he promised me a amount I needed but then when everything was signed and notarized (they want limited power of attorney rights from you) they couldn't even get a quarter of the amount promised. Listen carefully because these people will sell you a dream and a half. They cannot get you approved for Loans ! They will only apply for credit cards on your behalf. You will receive a ton of hard inquiries because of this. They do not do anything special. You can literally apply for these credit cards yourself. They will charge you 11.9% of the balance of each approved credit card you receive. Again, they're literally just applying for credit cards with your permission. Credit card applications are approved based on your credit history not SBC's relationships with lenders. They will get you a ton of credit cards with small amounts because again if you've never banked with these lenders, what are the chances that these lenders are going to give you large amounts. Even with an excellent credit score. If you really think about it, you're seeking as much capital as possible to start a business, if you run the cards past the 30% percent your credit is going to drop drastically. They will try to tell you well if you utilize the card the credit limits will increase, ofcourse They will after they see that you have paid off a good chunk of the balance on the cards. How are you suppose to rely on something that may take months when you are a new business with no revenue. Do not agree to any bank negotiations with them, they will charge you 595 for this service but 90% of banks do not allow third parties to accompany you on the call, if they find out they may even void your applications, so they will literally have you call every bank and speak to them yourself while they sit on mute. You can literally do that all on your own, they'll take credit and percentage for the things u can accomplish on your own. Anything seek business capital offers you, you can literally do it yourself for FREE of charge. SCAM! Expensive service for what you can do yourself for FREE! They claim they repeatedly ask you to confirm their process and charges, true but beware, they are sophisticated scammers. They only secured 10k (7k in personal and 3k in business!) Huge difference from 40k in business funds that I expected. They charge for everything from credit score repair services, registering a duns account $2-300, 10% of every credit card, $795 application fee. $295 rapid rescore but why didn't they just advise me to wait until my credit is worthy. Basically they will apply for you make you lie and say you applied yourself online which I didn't and they make you lie telling the banks that they are my financial advisor, when I was on a conference call with the banks (red flags!). I made an expensive lesson so I'll pay the couple thousand I completely regret paying. From my experience you should work with direct lenders and not third party loan brokers that run several inquiries, totally different and worse. "We cannot offer you the funds you are requesting because of too many inquiries" which is EXACTLY Seek's scam. You sign over permission to them to apply for personal credit cards in the range of $2,000 - $5,000 that they know you be approved for. If 4 or 5 are approved, they take your $795 for APPLYING FOR CREDIT CARDS that you could have applied for in a matter of minutes for free, THEN they charge you 10% of the total you were approved for while screwing with your credit score. So... you can apply for credit cards on your own, or pay this SCAM $3,000 for the $14,000 in personal credit cards they will apply for in your name. They told me I was pre-approved for $40,000 (that part of the scam: approved by THEIR underwriters, NOT THE CREDIT LENDER'S UNDERWRITERS), that $40K was "no problem". Seek Capital is not a bank and it cannot issue loans. They make money by extending your personal credit line as much as possible, then paying themselves more than 10% of that credit. They will pressure you into signing contracts immediately over the phone, and it costs $495/$995 to back out after that. Seek wants businesses that are less than 3 years old and looking for a loan. Small start-ups with no credit cannot take business loans, so they will take your application and immediately tell you that your business doesn't qualify. Then they propose an alternative: a line of credit. Later down the road, they clarify that very little of that credit - if any - will be business credit. It will be personal credit. They then clarify that this line of credit is several lines of credit. That's because they're not getting you a line of credit for your business, they are opening credit cards in your name. You can apply for credit cards on your own for free. Seek's business model is opening new credit cards for you, then charging you 12% of that credit + fees for the privilege. They disguise themselves as a financing company for small businesses, but this is a game to talk you into doing something which will destroy your credit. There is no business relationship and they don't care what happens to you, after you pay them. They get paid from your new credit cards immediately, so if you go bankrupt as a result of their actions they don't care. They are not a business partner, they are exploiting the credit lines of entrepreneurs starting up businesses to enrich themselves. They will tell you on the phone that they are your advocate, which is why you pay them and not the banks. This is a lie; they are not on your side. They encourage you to ask for 50% more than you need. This is because their financial interests are oppositional to your financial interests. The more debt you take, the more they make. Even for credit you do not intend to utilize, they will charge you 10 cents a dollar for access to your own credit given by real banks--not Seek. If you are seeking money up front, they offer a service called the "Custom Liquidation Plan". This is a $595 addon for them to pull all your credit out and give it back to you. The credit cards will charge between 0% and 5% in fees to do this, and they take their money out from on top. This utilizes your credit. If you have $10,000 in pre-existing credit, then Seek gets you $40,000 in new credit cards, and then you liquidate that credit - you are now utilizing 80% of your credit. This will seriously hurt your credit score overnight. Speaking of credit scores: Seek will promise you over the phone they utilize soft credit checks. This is true only for their approval process. Once you are approved, they will send your application to many banks to try and get you the credit line that you are asking for. Each bank they apply to does its own hard credit check. Hard credit checks seriously negatively impact your credit score. The more you ask for, the more banks they have to ask, and the worse it gets. If they get you $39,999 in credit cards, Seek will charge $4,799 just for the credit. Their underwriting fee is $995 (sometimes waived). They can impose conditions which they charge $795 to 'handle'. To liquidate, they charge another $595. The banks will charge on average 3% to liquidate. For $40k, you will get many credit cards and $31,615 by the end of it. If you get their Complete Package, you end up with $28,230. The difference ($11,769) goes to Seek. That difference is money you will have to pay back to the banks. They are very aggressive sales people. You can hear the tonal shift in the salesman's voice once he switches from friendly repertoire building to sales mode. They will be the first, maybe only, person replying to your loan application. They will pressure you on the phone to signing contracts immediately. This is because there is a cancellation fee of $495 or $995 after 2 days, so even if you realize the mistake and back out immediately, they got enough money to justify their sales rep's time. The sales environment is all over the phone. They refuse to use email except to send documents for you to sign while on the phone. There is constant pressure to act now, sign now, notarize their power of attorney as soon as you're off the phone. At no point do they want you to stop and think. Edit: After writing this review I decided to look at my bank's phone app. There was a button to apply for a personal loan. I was instantly approved for 80% of what I was asking for at a reasonable APR and it took 30 seconds. Moral of the story is to start with your bank. read more

I explained to Seek Capital that I'm a homeowner- with a mortgage that I owe about 400K on, that I RECENTLY refinanced- so that would be on my credit... which they did a soft pull and saw for themselves and claimed their underwriters said my current credit status (above 700+) but with my recent activity, wouldn't be a problem! That sounds great?! Right?! No no no no no! They ran my credit fully, requested at least ten lines of credit with over 7 different lenders and I only was approved for 2 credit cards with a limit of less than 6K between the two and Seek Capital charged me almost 700.00 for their work. They couldn't even get me half of what they claimed was a for sure thing. They're all talk. Don't believe them. Also, they don't really do all that much work... I get that they submit applications but that's it... I was the person calling all the lenders that rejected me asking me to be reconsidered, and that I had to have my account manager changed to someone higher up in the company because of their incompetence. This business is a scam. In the end, I paid them 500.00 to go away. They "got me" 2 credit cards that I likely could have gotten myself. Seek Capital is a fraud, I want to get a business loan. but the company keep push me to signed some e-documents, because I think I will get funding so I signed. after lot of phone calls, I received some credit cards. and they sent me a due date invoice ask me to pay $6000 for their services. Wouldn't I apply credit card by my self? they required me to pay immediately. when I pay, they will tell me how to get funding from the credit card. this is untrustable. Do your due diligence and call credit card companies yourself that will allow you to deposit a balance transfer check (this is how seek capital gets you credit into cash.) 3. So signed the Power of Attorney and they set a follow up call the next day before they started to process everything. As I was on the call the person kept mentioning Business and "Standard" credit cards. I had to realized that they really mean "Personal" credit cards. I asked her to cancel everything unless they can put just Business credit cards on the contract. She told me they can't do that but she can "Put in the Notes" that I want mostly Business credit cards. I told her to cancel everything and let me pay that $495 fee. I'm sooooooo glad I caught that before they ruined my personal credit score of 805. I feel bad for the people that are stuck with thousands of dollars to pay. Ok. So, just make sure you read everything before you sign anything, as you should with any contract. I had to terminate early. In the contract I guess it says there is a hefty termination fee. But, I signed it. The fee was $995 for going over 48 hrs before canceling. Something fell through and I did not need the funds. So, I get stuck with the $995 fee. I spoke with manager Pam for cancellation. Even though I did have to pay a fee, she could tell I was upset about it and ended up halfing the fee. I guess that's all I could really ask for. She was a delight to talk to as a person, and just like any business, I would consider it a neutral compromise. This would be a 5 star, but the pressure they put on me to sign in the first place knocked that down. Pam tried to do right by me and ended up at least helping me a little. read more

Seek Capital did not want to communicate via email to confirm the fact I wanted cash deposited into my business checking account. The contract was signed due to the misleading conversation on the phone. My business doesn't need to make any purchase, how would I get balance by using credit cards to transfer? The contract should be voided base on the fact that Seek Business mislead me to say the best, lying to me to say the worst. Now they sent me a $1000 early termination bill. I did not ask for termination. I only asked to confirm that I would be getting cash. They never did confirm. They can not confirm that because they can't get that service. Then why they asked you to sign a contract? The following is the time line and I have emails and text to provide proof. Jul 1 - Hour long phone call with B.P.. Explained to her about my option trading business and stated that I needed Cash deposited into my business checking account. Jul 2 - Hour long phone call again with M.R.. Explained to him my need of cash. He explained his service and was positive he could get me 20k to 40k funds. The banks would charge for cash is 0 - 5%, interest rate is 0% for 9 to 12 months. Seek Capital's fee is 11.99% of funds less than 40K and 9.99% of funds above 40.1K. I needed to purchase the $595 liquidation service in order to get cash deposited into my business checking account. He told me they had bank relationships and never explained that liquidation service is balance transfer. Signed the contract. Jul 2 - Read reviews online after I signed the contract. Many of their customers complained that they only got the credit cards but not cash or loan. Jul 3 - Received email from G. P. my Client Support Representative. She requested five action items from me to complete and to make appointment with her to discuss about the funding application. Jul 3 - Replied G. P.'s email to confirm that I would be getting cash deposited into my business checking account and the cost associated with the service. I canceled the Bank negotiations service in this email as well. Never got a reply from her. Sent the same email to B. P. as well and never heard back from her again. Jul 9 - Received email from I. M.. He answered my email and listed 10 of the service I would be getting. In the answer, he stated that I would be getting the liquidated funds not cash advances. Liquidated fund is balance transfer. This is not what I have asked in the phone conversation with both B. P. and M. R.. If my business doesn't require to make charges using credit cards, how would I have balance? I replied I. M.'s email with more questions and never received a reply after. Jul 13 - I.M. texted me on my phone requesting me to give them a call at 323-2386-100. I replied and requested to communicate via email. I sent him another email with questions to make sure that I would be getting cash at the fees we had in the contract. Again no reply email. Ju 14 S. with Seek Business texted my phone wanting to set up appointment to speak. I replied to communication with email again. Jul 15, 16, 19 texted and called my phone wanting to set up appointment to speak despite that I asked to communicate via email. They did not want to communicate via email to confirm the fact I wanted cash deposited into my business checking account. The contract was signed due to the misleading conversation on the phone. My business doesn't need to make any purchase, how would I get balance by using credit cards to transfer? The contract should be voided base on the fact that Seek Capital mislead me. I have never written a review in my life! But this company is so terrible that I felt the need to share my experience. SEEK CAPITAL IS A SCAM!!!! STAY AWAY!!! Steve Pacheco is a huge liar at it finest. Before beginning the process, Steve alluded that he needed to do a soft credit pull, (which is pretty standard), so I agreed to it. My credit score came back as a 745 and he said that I qualified for 40k to 60k. I said okay that sounds great but I want to make sure that we're on the same page on how you came up with that number. He verbatim said " we have a analytic system that we used to approve you with our partnered lenders. I told asked again, " okay that sounds great but what is the guarantee that I get that amount"? He said, you've already been approved with a our lenders, the only thing that we would need you to do is to sign a power of attorney over to us to apply on your behalf. Once I agreed to sign the contract agreement that's when hell broke loose. I got a call from Lucy, who is supposedly in charge of getting the credit cards or line of credit, and she totally flip the script on me. She said that I only qualified for 10K to 20K and even then that wasn't guarenteed, (which was totally different then what Steve told me). To make matters worse, they apply to 6 different banks and I got denied 4 out of the 6 Banks. Not only did I get denied, but my credit score dropped 15 points!!! Not to mention, the power of attorney didn't mean s*** because they didn't do anything. I literally had to submit every documentation myself to every lender that they supposedly had relationships with, only to be denied. That was there job! Then, only to be built 4500 from Seek Capital for services that they did not perform or credit cards and approval that I did not receive. Seek capital is a scam!!!
