stopped by this See's Candies location and had a great experience. The location is convenient and there is plenty of parking, which made it super easy to stop in. As soon as I walked in, I was warmly greeted and offered a sample, which was amazing. It definitely set the tone for the visit. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and everything looked fresh and beautifully displayed. I ended up getting a Nuts and Chews box for Valentine's Day and loved it. The chocolates were high quality and delicious, just what I was hoping for. My only small note is that I wish the Valentine's Day packaging was the same price as the regular boxes, but overall I was very happy with my experience and would absolutely come back. read more

The outside does not look like that. It's next to a Dollar Tree. Definitely confused me and made me think I was at the wrong See's Candies. Per Christmas/Hanukkah festivities, all the goodies become out of stock online. What to do? Head to a brick and mortar location. I appreciate the sales clerk suggesting a product that had savings. For example, I could buy 8oz of dark scotch mallows for less than if I had them boxed up. That was good to know! Boxes can be wasteful and why pay more? I love how they always offer a free sample when you come in. What a lovely sweet treat. My biggest tip is to go to Costco and purchase the $50 gift card for 38.99 not including sales tax. I purchased See's lollipop holders that said I do for the children that will be attending my daughter's wedding. When my daughter saw them, she asked me why I didn't purchase them for the adults too? When I think about lollipops, I think about children. I didn't think that adults would also want a See's lollipop other than my daughter and I. She and I love their cinnamon lollipops. I was happy to find out that this location had the "I do" lollipop holders in stock. I informed Sandra that I would get to their store within an hour. When I arrived, they had already placed butterscotch lollipops within them. It was very sweet of them to do that for me. Sandra and Kelly were very helpful in replacing the butterscotch lollipops with chocolate lollipops. It was a definite pleasure doing business with them. Ah yea See's candy is da best. Upon ordering something you can already choose a premixed box of items or choose your own and select all your favorite for yourself or someone else. The staff is quite friendly and they give you a piece of chocolate while you shop. I almost always choose See's for all my Christmas and birthday gifts when I don't know what to get for them. Upon entering, I was warmly greeted by the staff and given a sample of one of the latest candies. As I walked around the store, I was offered several suggestions based on what I was looking it, which was very thoughtful. When I finished my purchase, I was offered another chocolate to try for my next purchase. I was shocked with how kind and incredible the staff member was. On a Sunday afternoon in February, I came to look at their candy. I was nicely greeted by the staff. Then I noticed new mint scatchmillow for St. Patrick's day advertisement and I chatted with the see's lady about it. They had all sorts of candy to look in the glass counter. Pecan bud was calling me and I bought one piece. She gave me a several pieces of sample candy. They give out better samples than In Arcadia mall. read more

I normally wouldn't leave a review for a chain, but good ol' customer service goes a long way! I haven't been in a See's store for quite a few years. I needed to pick up a gift box and decided to head to the Alhambra location. Upon entering, I was warmly greeted by staff, offered a sample and asked if I was looking for something in particular. Within a few moments, I was able to get the right gift box, along with a custom assortment for my family. I love See's Candies. Their chocolates are clean, smooth, flavorful, and not too sweet. This was my first time in an actual See's store. I usually spot little kiosks in the mall that sell these chocolates. I appreciate that as soon as we walked in an employee brought us over free samples. She also gave us more samples when I was unsure which chocolate pieces I wanted to box. The employees here were very sweet and extremely helpful. She wrapped my goodies neatly and also threw in a bunch of coupons for my next visit. Quality chocolates that aren't overly sweet. I'm definitely a fan. read more

Chocolate is tasty. High quality. One thing I had to give up is that I was asking about what's inside the package so that I can choose the one I might like. They tried help and I appreciate it, but their answers were obscure and I couldn't really figure out what I am going to have. Alhambra See's store is one of my favorite locations and as a See's fan I've been to every shop in SoCal, Nev, and Ariz. The service here is excellent, especially Trista. She is so friendly, helpful and cute. The store is relatively small but well stocked. Parking can be busy but always available. Here is my hot tip: try the pecan roll. Delicious butterscotch covered with whole pecans and caramel. Some people feel price is high but candy like Godiva is over $45 per pound and not as good. read more

I was really shocked when I read all the bad reviews so I decided to give this an update. There were two ladies working monday afternoon but one left soon after, perhaps to lunch? The lady that helped me was Asian (sorry idk her name) and was super sweet. I had a lot of questions and she was really patient and nice. I had a LOT of fun customizing my own box and I got two samples without any bad looks or snappy comments (refer to reviews below lol)-- chocolate covered blueberries (was offered) and dark chocolate truffle OMG (requested). She even asked if it was for a special occasion and I told her it was for National Boss Day (LOL).The wrapping was white and black checkered with a sticker that said happy boss's day!!!! Overall it was a really pleasant experience and I would definitely go back.... Dark choc truffle O M G!!! read more

I love See's. What can you say, chocolate in so many varieties? The service is always nice, and i love that they give you a free sample when you walk in. We end up spending about $10 between the both of us (My Fiance and I). My favorite would be the dark bordeaux and his would be the almond squares. read more

My only complaint is customer service. See's need to train their sales rep on providing friendly customer service. The lady that I encountered on Saturday didn't smile, very robotic, unfriendly, and basically doesn't seem to be a people's person. this is solely based on the customer service I received that night, not on the product, cause ya'll know sees candy is yummerific!! we came on a sunday evening around 7pm. there were two ladies working that night. i don't remember their names - one was actually nice but the one that primarily helped me was just meh. i asked if i could make a 1/2 lb nut and chew box. she said i could make whatever 1/2 lb box i wanted. cool. i asked her if she could make a 1/2 lb nut and chew box for me. she said, what do you want in it? i said, whatever is in a nut and chew. she said, its just the nuts and the caramels. its cool to give the customer freedom to choose whatever they want, but im specifically asking to pack a 1/2 lb nut and chew box for me, and who is the expert here? me or you? i have no idea what is in a nut and chew box! anyways, when placed into situations like this, i get anxious. i feel like i have to make quick decisions on what to put into the box and like i'm taking up too much of the workers time. every time i picked a chocolate, she would say, "what else? what else?" i need a sec!!! im going on the fly here, woman! i needed to make another box, but i told her i'd take a sec to walk around the store and look around. i wanted to have my list ready so i didn't take too much time up (even though there was noone else in the store). she asked if i needed any additional items and i said, "i do, but let me get my list in order first so i don't waste your time" *friendly chuckle denoting, im just playing* and she stonefaced "okay"-ed me. sigh, it was very stressful trip for me. in the end, i got what i needed and the lady that checked me out was super nice. located in a plaza with a supermarket, big lots, big 5, planet fitness, and multiple eateries, parking can get kinda gnarly, but not so bad around the sees area. read more

I came here for a last-minute christmas present and the store wasn't packed, but it looked like that because the store is small. Even then checkout was fast, no long line. I got 2 samples in the store but they seemed to be cautious in watching who they have out the samples to. I felt that they were happier to give you a sample if they saw you holding something in your hands. All customers got a sample at checkout. I wish they posted prices or something because I'm always confused as to how the system works when you want to pick your own chocolate, and that goes for every store. There's giant secret parking lot in the back, which everyone usually forgets. This is a high traffic area because there are lots of other stores around this plaza. read more

I'm a fan of See's Candies. I grew up selling them for school fund-raisers and now I buy them from friends' kids for their school fund raiser. Used to go to See's down in Monterey Park but it's closed now. Was that really necessary? Maybe the rent went up or the owners of the property didn't want to renew for financial reasons of getting more rent money from the next occupant. Okay so now we go to Alhambra See's. All See's I have been to are designed the same, same colors and same lay out so as far as that goes if I review one I review all in that respect. The service has been pretty good across the board too. Specifically Alhambra See's is very good. The employees are always very friendly and patient. They must be patient dealing with me as a customer. I go about once a year because I get a See's craving. So I get a box or candies that I chose. I never get a premade box since I like specific candies. So I have the poor lady getting me 5 different types and I have them going back and forth from one end of the counter to the next. By the way my favorite are Bordeaux. Man those knock my sox off. I get about 3 rows in the box of that then I go on to about 4 more selections. I won't get into the rest of the ones I love. So I will not make this as long winded as most my reviews is. All I can say is that Mary See would be proud of this location and all the locations in the chain. Reason is the stores are well maintained. Very clean and old fashioned looking. Friendly service and of course her candies being super popular to this day. She started something big and I if I was a betting man I would say she is spinning in her grave right now in joy that her candies are really popular. As far as price goes. Yes the price has gone up a lot in years and I am not so sure if it was the fault of See's Candies or really just inflation. Inflation is to blame. Cost of cocoa and sugar rises every year. This isn't candy that you buy once a week. It's more for special occasions or when you get the yearly or so craving for it. So because it's not all year thing then suck it up and pay the price. I do. There are other boutique chocolatiers out there that charge an arm and a leg, i.e., even more than See's and not even close to being as good. They sell and image but not a better product. See's is a chain so people don't think of it as a boutique brand of candy but they really are but they just happen to have many locations. I feel bad for cities that don't have this. This isn't in the majority of the country. I was surprised when in Hong Kog in the mid '80s I saw a See's candy store. Not sure if it was a store or a kiosk in the airport but it was See's. See they love See's oversees (pun intended)!!! read more

5 stars for See's Candies as a whole, all the way. But this particular location doesn't live up to that standard. Unsurprisingly, it was crowded the week before Christmas. There was only one poor lady working the store by herself, but she moved everyone along. But she was so busy that she didn't have time to look up, much less help anyone who may have wanted to do a custom mix of candies. So everyone just got the pre-boxed stuff. Almost everyone was paying with the Costco 1 lb. certificates. That's definitely the way to go. I could see the lady was starting to lose her patience with the people who weren't using them correctly though. At least she put some free samples on the counter for people to help themselves. At least I think they were free samples...if not, I may have eaten part of someone's order, hee hee. Also, why does this location (or other stand-alone locations like this one that are not in a mall) close so early? I wanted to come by on a weekday after work and they close at 6:00. read more

This was a relatively harmless experience. You know that you are in a n ethnic Asian Neighborhood when the See's Candies gift wraps their boxes in red paper and throw on a FABULOUS red and gold sticker with the Chinese Character for LUCK on it. The other ones in the non-Asian neighborhoods did not do this??? Why not??? doesn't everyone wlecome in the Year of the Ox??? Just Kidding. After my thrilling haircut adventure at Supercuts, I wandered over to the See's Candies. Since I am attending an end of the year dinner on Sunday, I though I should bring something. Lo and behold, a beautifully and tastefully wrapped bi-level chocolate creation. YES!!!! Though they did not have one ready made with Nut and Chews, the girl did re-wrapped one for me. Excellent customer service! I rarely give reviews but I'm compelled to give kudos to this Sees. I called Sees Alhambra at 5:55pm, only to find they closed at 6pm. I told the very nice women who answered that I couldn't make it in time as I was about 10 mins away. She very graciously told me she'd stay open and wait for me! Wow! I told her what I wanted and she had it ready for me when I got there at 6:05pm. It was so kind of her and I really appreciated it. The candy was a present for mom who absolutely loves Sees Candy. Like all other see's, they give you samples when you walk in. I kindly asked the associate- brandy j. for a pound of self selected chocolate and OMG she was so rude. She had absolutely no smile what so ever and no customer service skills. After choosing a few pieces, I asked her approximately how many pieces I need to fill the box, she said 10. Then after picking out several more pieces (I lost count how many pieces I picked), so I thought my box was filled. I looked at her thinking should would prompt me.... seconds later she said, "I am waiting for you". So I smiled and asked again about how many pieces I have left, she answered almost with her eyes rolling "I told you 10, you just picked 7". WOW Brandy, I am amazed at your mathematic skills. Couldn't you just answer "3 pieces left"? I am sorry that I asked the same question twice but isn't this what you we were hired for?! The associates need more customer service training in this location. The one star was for the location being not too crowded and the ample parking. Will not return. read more
