After inspecting my watch he quickly noticed that my bracelet was fitted incorrectly and that my rotating bezel was a little loose. He assured me that he would have it fixed. I sent three vintage 7548's to Timezone in Costa Mesa. Initially I was just going to send my 7548-700F Pepsi to be evaluated. It was my first "real" watch that was purchased new back in 1981. It was neglected, thrown in a drawer and probably wasn't worn for at least 25 years. Frank at Timezone gave me a call and told me that there was a lot of corrosion due to a leaking battery. I should say that it was expected and I should've known better. Anyhow, I told him to proceed with the repairs. That particular watch has sentimental value. I also sent another 7548-7000 (JDM) to be overhauled and another to have the crystal replaced and a new battery installed. All of the old parts that were replaced were returned back to me. I received all three back in the mail today and couldn't be happier. 7548's might be quartz but they are comfortable, well made, iconic divers of that era. I'll be wearing them for a long time . . . knock on wood. Frank and Kevin were a pleasure to work with through the entire process. They are both really nice guys and I will be using their services in the future. read more

Can't leave higher praise for Frank and Rane at Seiko Time Zone. Incredible customer support and together they run a smooth operation. Both Frank and Rane are extremely knowledgeable about their watches and share the same passion for watches as any WIS (watch idiot savant - the insider lingo for a watch nerd). Frank is the manager of the store and he gave me a great price on the black Seiko Turtle (SRP777), and buying from them means buying from a legit AD (authorized dealer) with a full Seiko warranty. (When you buy online, you get a warranty from whoever sells you the watch, or grey dealers, and not Seiko itself. There are many horror stories of getting your warranties honored from grey dealers). Frank and Rane also do watch modifications. I recently got my Seiko SKX007 modded with a variety of upgrades (better movement, ceramic bezel insert, sapphire crystal, new hands and crown, etc.) Rane did my upgrade for me, and he was fantastic, responsive, and professional throughout the service. For instance, there was an issue with the bezel insert not fitting correctly into the bezel. Rane contacted me immediately, alerted me to the issue before proceeding any further, sent numerous pictures, and we made a joint decision on how to proceed. A few minutes later he was able to expertly figure out a solution to the problem, and he completed the job with no further issues. Now the SKX has been perfectly modded, and I cannot recommend Rane any more highly for any of your modifications needs. He did things like align my chapter ring and water pressure test the watch without me even asking. Furthermore, I dropped off my watch in the morning and the mods were ready for me by later that afternoon! Rane, by the way, modifies many of his own Seiko watches, and he is a true professional at what he does. You're the man Rane! These guys are Seiko specialists, and your watch is in great hands with this store. Five stars hands down. The proof is in the pudding (see pics). Thanks again guys, and I'll be back. read more

This place is a great place to take your watch if you need a watch repaired or you need a link taken out they do full service on your watch that can rewaterproof it change the battery put a new crystal in it clean it out change the seal on the case. I mean these guys do quality work they get it done in a timely manner pardon the pun haha LOL always like to be a jokester but these guys prices are fair they work on the super high-end watches like a tag's between my girlfriend and myself we have 6 Tag's. I have been going to this shop for so many years that I can't remember that far back ! Between my boyfriend and I we have six Tag watches. I ONLY take them to Time Zone to be checked, polished and maintained. They always make sure to offer to replace the gaskets and check them for the prevention of water infiltration. While in the watch they test the battery and let you know if it is low. I have had them adjust watch bands, take links out and put them in and they are always on point. I came in to do a simple battery replacement for my Tag Heuer. I paid like $15 about 5 years ago at a jewelry repair place in the Mainplace Mall, so I was to expecting to pay $20 or so. They quoted me $60, so I was out the door. I drove down the street to Time Center in Huntington Beach and they did it for $10. I understand that once you replace the battery, the gasket seal may or may not continue to waterproof the watch and may have to be replaced, but give me that option and tell me up front if that's what you're charging for. read more
