My first visit and it was great. I'd had a temp repair at another dentist out of state and he warned me it had a limited life. I couldn't get back to his office and had to find a new dentist. Selah Creek got me in that afternoon, literally in under 1 hr and were able to replace the crown with the new cubic zirconium NC machine produced tooth in one visit. I even got to watch the NC machine produce the tooth. As an engineer that was very interesting to witness on a tooth. Prisma was my dental tech and just a pleasure to chat with while I waited for the machine to finish. It was the most painless Crown I ever had done and I think it was less and 2.5 hrs start to finish. And no return appointment needed. It's not like I shopped around, but I think the cost was very reasonable. They're quite busy and yet squeezed me in and stayed late to finish. read more

After the resent death of their mother and father the children got state insurance that was made very clear by the staff was unexpected!!! I thought they were great at first. Wished I had gotten my 2nd opinion before I allowed them to turn several teeth into crowns then root canals, and finally removal. Every filling came out within a year. One came out 3 weeks in a row!! 2 crowns came off within 8 months. This last tooth they told me needed a crown asap. This when I had, had enough and got my 2nd opinion. The new dentist's excuse for Dr. McKay is some dentists believe in "preventative maintenance." Its going on 4 years now and I still have not had any issues with the tooth Selah Creek said needed a crown. However, every tooth Selah Creek previously worked on has had to be redone. Not a single filling or crown has popped out of place with my new dentist. Personally I believe Dr. McKay is an opportunist. Its unfortunate so many dentists are like this these days read more

Did you get a card in the mail advertising Exam, x-rays & Cleaning for $99? I took advantage of this ad and it cost me $1048!! Why? The $99 cleaning isn't really a cleaning. Deep cleaning (which is the same as my other dentist performed) was an additional $949! And it did not include polishing.. They want to get you on their financing program. I needed a crown on one tooth. Dr McKay told me that he could not guarantee that the crown would hold and suggested installing a post. Just had the crown done by another dentist who had no fears of crown holding. He was just trying to push a high priced post. I my opinion I was scammed. read more

Shout Out to Selah Creek Dental I went to Selah Dental recently for the first time, the staff is amazing and super friendly. They took the time to make sure I understood what was happening during each step and answered all my questions with clear responses. Dr.McKay was friendly and honest about the work I needed. He made sure I understood and continued to check in with me throughout the process. All the equipment is state of the art, I loved the color pictures. After my last review a member from this institution reached out to me. Said that they would like me to come in so they could handle things to fix what is happened I suppose. Went to a new dentist and had issues with them so came back. The receptionist just smiled with me after consulting with the dentists and sad for no random reason at all if they refuse to work on me without general anesthesia. I am 25 and I've never needed this ever in my life. In fact I was NOM already from a dental operation that same morning. They told me I could not be no I'm good without general anesthesia. While unable to talk because my mouth is numb. This was a laugh at my face. But they know that my insurance will not cover this and they know on my financial situation. They know I am been six months of pain and Was almost in tears in their lobby. Sadistic I will be seeking legal counsel. Called in for information. If anyone else has had similar experiences. Legal paperwork is requested by them to go to their address attn: layne hansen. Also HIIPA warning. They disclosed my medical situation to me over the phone without even verifying me. "And who was this" "name" and i was being told about my medical situation when i hung up. Didnt even ask for a date of birth UNLAWFUL! I thought that Selah Creek Dental was doing a great job until I went to another dentist for a second opinion regarding an expensive recommended procedure. After finding that I didn't need that even have what Selah Creek Dental recommended I have had to have several dental appointments to correct poorly done work preformed by Selah Creek Dental. In addition I have had one tooth pulled that could have been saved and a root canal if Selah Creek Dental had seen what was needed. I would not recommend this dentist to anyone. read more

Better not have a pulse otherwise the female dentist will refuse to do any work. I came in for a consult and needed a lot of work done. I was able to have work done the day after my consult. The male dentist did one side of my mouth, filled a few cavities and pulled a wisdom tooth. I made another appointment to be seen the very next week to have the other side of my mouth done, filling more cavities and another wisdom tooth extraction. They check my blood pressure which was fine but my pulse was high. Didn't matter if I have anxiety or had just walked a few blocks to the office or knew of the impending pain that was about to be inflicted upon me. So now I have a lopsided face due to the wisdom tooth not being extracted. They wouldn't give me the information to the dentist that did the work the previous week. He doesn't practice there anymore. read more

I normally do not like to post negative reviews about businesses but I had to post this about Selah Smiles Dental. My husband and I scheduled our cleanings with them and they proceeded to cancel our appointments three different times! They would call us 30 minutes before our appointment and say they had to cancel it! The receptionist was very rude about it and didn't seem to care that my husband and I took time off work to schedule the appointments. This clinic is VERY unprofessional and unorganized! I'm going elsewhere for my dental needs! read more

This office has been taking care of my family's dental needs for a couple years now. Lately they've had some changes with their doctors, so we don't always get to see the same provider. But overall I like the way my family is treated at their office, and it's close to home, so I will continue going back. I read some of the other reviews and they were negative, but I've never had a bad experience there personally. We've always had staff who were helpful and respectful. I went there last week for my daughter's check-up and she had an assistant named Danielle handling her appointment. My daughter is very shy, but the assistant was very friendly and got her to cooperate with no problems. Dr. McKay was the doctor who saw her for her check-up and I was impressed with his bedside manner, he was very friendly and welcoming. I think he's recently taken ownership of the office so I look forward to seeing if he makes updates to the office to make it a little nicer and more modern. I would recommend this office with 5 stars because they have great staff and give quality care. read more
