Before Repairs: I was side-swiped by a bus on my passenger side, and a week later, I walked out to my car from UTSA to find that someone drove into the driver side (fortunately, they left a note). After tirelessly searching on Google and Yelp and trying to find the best places in San Antonio, I went to two other shops for estimates - Miracle Body and Paint, and Crossroads Collision Center. I knew from just the experience of getting my estimate, that Select One was the ONE. The customer service from Helen, the receptionist, to the assurance and understanding of the estimator (a young guy with glasses - wish I knew his name so I could give him a shout out), everything was just so easy. A first win for Select One. During Repair: When I dropped off my car, I required a rental, so they contacted Enterprise and had the shuttle take me to get a rental car. Helen, once again, have excellent customer service and answered all of my questions. When my repairs took place, I received an email updating me on my status about 2-3 times per week. In two weeks, I believed I received about 5 emails. Some might find that annoying, but to me, I'm Type A and OCD, so I preferred the constant communication. After Repair: After being contacted that my vehicle was completed, I returned to Select One to pick up my car. Let me tell you, when I saw the condition it was in, my jaw dropped. I couldn't believe how amazing of a job they did. A gentleman walked out to my car with me and had me look over everything to confirm it was completed to my standards. If anything, for a high maintenance person like me, the body work was above my standards. My car looked like it was as brand new as when I drove it off the lot. Overall, Select One went above and beyond for Felicia the Forte (my car) and me. My car was previously repaired at Caliber Collision, and it was a horrible experience, and I learned my lesson of staying away from the places that are the insurance companies' best friends. Got my jeep stolen from their shop today, It's my assumption that it was either negligence or an inside job. My truck was used to bust open their gate and used to haul the things stolen from them. Damaged was caused because of the burglary and all Gilbert could say was have my insurance call his insurance. It's taken them almost a month to fix my truck and they still haven't finished. Laughable that Gilbert suggested I leave my truck with them again. Avoid getting you vehicle stolen and long wait times. Go somewhere else read more

The owners, Gilbert and Patty Martinez, have been in this business for over 30 years and their experience shows in the work they deliver. I was there picking up my daughter's Camry after her second accident (teenagers...) and I heard A customer ask if they would give him a military discount. Without any hesitation, Gilbert said, "Absolutely, thank you for your service to our country." As a military wife myself, I was so impressed!! They have repaired a Chevrolet Truck for me as well as my Honda Pilot. All of our claims were through USAA and I even called USAA to let them know how great Select One is. If you live in San Antonio, or even if you don't, this is the shop that you should take your vehicle to for any auto body repairs. Dealing with them has been one of the worse experiences of my life. I was involved in an accident at HEB, hit and run. My car was damaged enough that it was required to be towed. My good friend asked if it could be towed to Caliber Collision but the tow driver wanted to take it to Select One, so there it went. At Select One, I had to deal with the Manager, Andre, who was not honest with me on several subjects. First, he said that it would take 2 months to have the car fixed. Later on, he said two weeks. When I told him that I had decided to take my car to Caliber Collision he said that the car could not be released until I paid the outstanding balance. He said that I had to pay $600 to them in order to release the car ($275 was for Admin fees). What Admin fee? They only thing they did was to list the items that needed to be ordered/replaced. The tow truck just brought to their shop and they stored the car for a couple of days. I can see paying for towing and storage, but $275 of Admin fees for what they did? He said that there would be no charge if the car was repaired with them. I felt at that moment that I was definitely at the wrong place. Later on I spoke to my insurance company and they took care of the problem. My car was then released and Caliber Collision picked it up. I am disabled, which requires that my car has to be modified to my specific needs. They were aware that I am disabled because of the license plates in my car and of existing modifications. My friend helped me with all the problems associated to my condition. It was very disappointing that instead of Select One making it easy for me it was quite the opposite. I can guarantee that I will never recommend to anyone the company Select One. read more

took my car to get fender and passanger side fixed. was the worst job ever, don't take your car. my car didnt get fixed right the first time. shop went back over the paint job making it look better. To notice the back bumber didn't align to body of car. new fender didn't align to body of car. paint was spotted left on parts of car that had no business touching up. like inside door frame and inside gas compartment. noticed parts of my right door frame missing. making my car look like junk w metal exposed when looking at window of car. They truly are a 5 star company. I got rear ended on a Friday afternoon and they got me right in first thing Monday morning. Ten days later our car was done. Amber gave prompt, professional email updates every Tuesday and Thursday so I never had to wonder what was going on. The car looks brand new and I was so pleased. One of the gentlemen even helped me unhook two car seats from the rental car and put them into our repaired car in the hot summer sun.
