I repeated asked mul times a day for some warmer clothes as I was freezing. you are only given one blanket. Ms. Misha gave me a second blanket to try to warm up but the unit was soooo cold and you couldn't take blankets into the rec area. On Monday the nurse yelled at me to "cover my legs " as shorts were not permitted. I was given paper scrubs that fell down over my behind. Other gender neutral people were still permitted to just wear shorts!! On Tuesday (5 days in facility) a BHA offered me a size 20 pair of pants, 5x pair of pants and 3x and 2x pair of pants. I asked him his waste size and added 10 to his number then asked "Could you wear tho pants without a belt?" he responded negatively. The people leading the groups were fantastic! however bring warm clothing and expect not to sleep as they constantly wake you up to ask you to show your bracelet.

Fast forward to the present time, I re-injured my back and found myself in the same situation extreme sciatica and spasm's on my left side with complete numbness down the back of my leg and bottom of my foot. My medical insurance provider was pressuring me to go to the ER and undergo an MRI immediately. I know exactly what the outcome would have been, and it would have involved a knife (again) and THOUSANDS of dollars (again). I decided to go with Genesis because none of the previous "chains" did anything for me whatsoever. 1) After just one visit with Dr. Johnson and his deep tissue specialists, I felt SIGNIFICANTLY better the second I walked out. Though it's a process with this type of injury, the numbness immediately started to subside and is still getting better. 2) Dr. Johnson lets his patients use his Physical Therapy room and all of the equipment at ANY time without charging. 3) They don't sell "packages" that suck you into any commitments, and when you feel like you're done, you're done 4) The deep tissue massage therapist made me want to kick a puppy, because she was just that good. Seriously.... She knew EXACTLY how to target every area she needed to. On a pain scale of 1-10, the massage was a solid 8-10, but I'm telling you, if it doesn't hurt they're not doing it right. 5) They don't just "deep tissue" for 30-minutes and call it a day... They spend significant time and target the areas that NEED to be targeted. The entire deep-tissue sessions I've had have lasted anywhere between 1.5-2 hours. 6) If you go, and they work on you, and it hurts, trust me... It's supposed to... You'll walk out of there feeling like a brand new person. 7) Dr. Johnson's adjustments were a breeze and there was absolutely no point where I felt he was putting my injury at risk.

Evidently this place is hit or miss. I picked this PT office because of the reviews on Google and I had the opposite of a good experience. First, when scheduling it was evident they overlap appointments. Then, on my second visit I was rushed through, no explanations between random exercises, being poked and prodded randomly, and finally having some machine hooked up to me while face down. Then, after the machine finishes I'm left alone face down to wonder what's going on until 20 minutes later i finally take myself off the bed so I can leave, only to see all the therapists have moved on to other patients and didn't even notice me leave.
