Selina is an amazing photographer. We found her from searching local photographers when our first girl was born two years ago. She did an amazing job then and was super when my girl just wanted to nurse for 3 hours straight. You would have never known by the pics!! We loved her so much we went back again! Our newest addition was born with Down Syndrome and had to be in the NICU for about 3 weeks. She was super flexible with scheduling and managed to get those "newborn" pics even at over a month old. Her new studio was great for my toddler while our infant was bring photographed. There was a play area with a chalk board, puzzles, stuffed animals, and toys to keep kids of all ages busy. She was patient during "terrible two" meltdowns and we got amazing pics of both girls together!! With both girls we ordered the CD's and turnaround time was quick. We had tons of compliments on all pictures we posted on social media and from family and friends. Selina did our newborn shoot after we welcomed our first baby into the world. She made it such an amazing experience ! She had her own vision and did a great job creating amazing pictures of our babygirl. She also helped us reach our vision of having our daughter pose with her daddy's firetruck and nailed some pretty tricky poses of our little one on the front of a huge truck. She was extremely professional & very friendly (even when she had to stand in the rain to capture the perfect shot!) She made us feel so comfortable from the minute we walked through the door and always ensured the safety of our newborn while capturing some pretty amazing poses. I've followed Selina's work on facebook for quite sometime and always admired her wonderful photography skills so when I found out we were expecting I was thrilled to be able to contact her to book my own session. We did the maternity session as well as the newborn photo shoot. In both sessions my toddler was let's say, less than cooperative ;) but you would never know looking at the photos. She was patient and able to get the family shots we were hoping for. The newborn photos of our son were everything we hoped they'd be. She was very experienced in keeping him comfortable all the while posing him for the perfect picture. As far as the wait, we were told the photos would be edited within two weeks but they were actually completed within the week. Selina is wonderful to work with. She has a beautiful studio with lots of props to ensure that you get great photographs. She and her assistant were excellent with my nephew. I paid for the images for my sister and that whole process even though it was a little out of the ordinary was extremely easy. She kept in contact with both myself and my sister and we were able to schedule quickly after the baby was born. Due to some health concerns my sister had to cancel her original appointment and that was no problem at all with Selina! We got wonderful images and had them within less than two weeks! I jumped with excitement when I found Selina's website online because her style of work, the quality and the cuteness was everything I was looking for to give me my newborn photography experience. She goes over and beyond to make your experience pleasurable and is so patient and kind. She rocked my baby girl to sleep for a long time before even shooting her. Her business admin is very prompt and she even gave me advice for my own business ! (ie. marketing.) I had my newborn photos when my daughter was only a few days old, and Selina was soo good with her! I am a first time mom, and didn't know what to expect, but she was amazing! We were there for over an hour and she didn't rush around or anything, when our daughter got a little fussy she stopped and cuddled her to make her feel better! She really made us feel comfortable there. We loved ALL of our photos so much that we HAD to buy the rights to all of them because we couldn't decide on only a few! Selina is a sweetheart. She has a gift when working with newborns (and un-photogenic husbands). My daughter would not sleep but we were able to capture some lovely photos and just roll with it. As far as scheduling goes, she was able to get us in last minute as my daughter was born 3 weeks earlier than scheduled and I was extremely pleased with her attitude and professionalism. she handled baby mess like a true pro and was more than accommodating when it came to feeding my daughter and keeping my toddler amused. Selina has taken our pictures multiple times, she has always been flexible with her times and schedule. Not only is she great with children and newborns, she also helps those shy, awkward husbands who hate to take pictures. She's very friendly and down to earth, she makes taking pictures enjoyable. If you were like me, I always wonder how photographers get newborn babies to look so peaceful, especially with no clothes on but Selina has the magic touch with them.
