Being that it happened on a Saturday and the July 4th weekend, I was not optimistic to find anyone. But I was desperate so I requested some estimates on Yelp. I immediately heard back from several businesses. Unfortunately, they're either out of my service area or closed for the weekend until the 5th. I was about to give up, that's when I saw John's message. I asked if they had any reviews and he sent me their Google page (you should check it out). Anyway, he was able to come out early Sunday morning at 9 AM to diagnose. John quickly found the issue - a malfunctioning cooling fan. The part needed to be replaced so unfortunately, we have to wait for it. But, he defrosted the coils in the back of the fridge, and that temporarily fixed the cooling issue so we can wait for the part to arrive. For our visit, he charged a $75 service fee, which was provided to me upfront. Definitely check them out.

He seemed to do a thorough job and was very friendly. He vacuumed out the vent behind the dryer, did something in the attic and removed a bird's nest from the roof vent. I called Patrick's Electric because I needed help setting up my mini-split unit. I had done the…read morewhole setup myself (since I had already done it in the past) and my vacuum pump just wouldn't hold the pressure. Therefore, I knew there was a leak somewhere in the system that I could not find. At that time, the AC was not running and the freon had been stored in the condenser. The two workers who came, right on time, were very nice and very helpful with explaining to me what they where doing and answering my questions for me to understand more about this issue I was facing. In less than an hour, they were done, stating that it should be good to go. We had tested the AC and everything seemed to be running properly. What they charged me was definitely reasonable, honest and in adequacy with their price list. It is the first AC company I hire that doesn't try to cheat me by over charging me for parts they didn't use or work they didn't do. A few minutes after they left, I was cleaning up my tools when I clearly heard a leak coming from the pipes. I looked at the fittings and bubbles were coming out (confirming the leak). Freon had then been released and the whole system was now leaking freon in the environment. The two workers came back shortly after I called the receptionist. I told them my worry about the cost of that second repair, since I had already paid once for something that was supposed to be "good to go". One of the man called his boss and then told me "not to worry about it". They then ended up spending two extra hours replacing the fittings, tighten them up with a special paste, adding new freon to the unit, testing the system... and giving me tips on how to take care of my AC for future references. All of this, free of cost. Just as they said. All I can say is that everyone makes mistakes. What matters is how you fix them. Patrick's Electric is from far the most honest and trustful AC company I've ever heard of or had to deal with. You know what to expect when you deal with them. I would definitely recommend them to anyone who needs some help with their AC. I will surely call them next time I have any issue with my AC as I had an amazing first experience with them.
